(she/her)
Dr. Alexis (she/they) is a queer, neurodivergent, Latinx therapist and guide who supports Women of Color, LGBTQ+ folks, and late-diagnosed neurodivergent individuals navigating burnout, identity, and relational healing. Using the *The Restorative Thread* methodology she developed, she weaves together narrative therapy, somatic practices, and culturally grounded care to help clients unmask, reconnect, and reclaim their truth—in their own time and in their own way. Many of her clients are deeply capable and outwardly composed, yet inwardly carrying exhaustion, disconnection, or the weight of constantly being “on.” Dr. Alexis offers a restorative, affirming space where you can explore who you are *beyond survival*, and begin to live more fully aligned with your essence embodiment.
Our first session is a space for us to gently arrive—there’s no pressure to have it all figured out. You can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where we’ll explore what’s bringing you in, what you’re holding, and what you’re hoping for. I’ll ask some guiding questions to better understand your story, but we’ll move at a pace that feels safe and spacious for you. This isn’t about fixing or pathologizing you. It’s about creating room for you to be seen and heard—without needing to mask, perform, or over-explain. You might share pieces of your identity, life experiences, or goals. Or you might not know where to start yet—and that’s completely okay. Whether you come in with clarity or confusion, grief or hope, we’ll begin weaving trust and safety together. By the end of our session, we’ll collaboratively explore whether working together feels like a good fit, and what ongoing support might look like.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to hold complex, intersectional stories with care, nuance, and deep presence. I meet people where they are—without rushing, without assuming—and create space for them to unmask, unfold, and reconnect with their truth at their own pace. Clients often say they feel genuinely seen and deeply understood with me. That’s because I don’t just listen to the words—they feel that I’m listening to their body, their lineage, their silences, and the stories between the lines. I bring a rare integration of clinical depth, intuitive wisdom, and lived experience as a queer, neurodivergent, Latinx woman. My approach is both grounded and imaginative, helping people weave their identities, navigate burnout, and rebuild safety in relationships—with others and with themselves. Whether I’m working with therapists, neurodivergent BIWOC who carry a lot and hold space for others, or queer clients exploring identity and intimacy, I help restore what’s been fragmented—gently, holistically, and with a felt sense of restoration at the center. My ability to build trust, attune to nervous system needs, and guide clients in decolonizing their inner narratives is a strength that goes beyond the therapy room. I bring a thread of radical compassion, cultural resonance, and spiritual grounding that helps clients not just cope—but come home to themselves.
Dr. Alexis is best positioned to support Women of Color, LGBTQ+ folks, and late-diagnosed neurodivergent individuals who find themselves navigating deep questions of identity, belonging, and burnout. Many of her clients come to therapy or coaching feeling overextended, emotionally exhausted, and caught in patterns of people-pleasing, hyper-independence, or self-doubt—often while holding multiple marginalized identities. Whether you're questioning how your identity impacts your relationships, feeling disconnected from your sense of self, or yearning for rest and restoration without guilt, you're not alone. Dr. Alexis helps clients move beyond survival mode and into a space where their inner truth can be seen, honored, and safely explored. You might be: - A neurodivergent woman of color trying to unmask and reclaim your rhythm. - A queer or questioning client navigating intimacy, grief, and generational/cultural expectations. - A therapist, healer, or helper seeking support to show up fully in your own life while holding space for others.
I help you explore the stories you’ve internalized about yourself, deconstruct limiting beliefs, and reclaim authorship of your life with compassion and clarity.
I help support nervous system regulation, increase body awareness, and restore a felt sense of safety and connection. These practices may include breathwork, grounding, parts work, and gentle tracking of sensations.
I help support healing in relationships (including your relationship with yourself), while increasing your capacity for intimacy, trust, and secure connection.
I use this method to strengthen emotional bonds and help you communicate needs and longings more clearly.
I use this method to honor your identities, histories, and intersectional realities, and to hold space for the impacts of oppression, intergenerational trauma, and systemic harm.
