I believe healing happens in relationship. Together, we'll create a path toward what matters most to you, whether that's quieting the steady hum of anxiety or finding your way out from under the weight of chronic stress.
Many of us carry more than we let on: the aftermath of a life-threatening illness, wounds from early relationships, connections that left us wanting, or disappointments that knocked the wind out of us. Wherever your story begins, our work is about helping you feel steady on your feet and ready to make meaningful change.
I listen deeply to your lived experience and draw on a range of approaches to support you through life's complexities. You'll find in me a blend of candid insight, honest reflection, and genuine warmth, so even the hardest conversations feel productive, and never something you have to face alone.

Welcome! I’m Toni Rivers, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the owner of Mind Over Chatter LLC. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, better understand their thoughts and emotions, and create meaningful and lasting change.
I believe that everyone deserves a safe, supportive space where they can feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. Life can often feel overwhelming, and the thoughts we carry can sometimes make it difficult to find clarity, peace, and confidence. Through therapy, I work alongside my clients to help them explore their experiences, identify patterns that may no longer serve them, and develop practical tools to support their emotional well-being.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and personalized because I understand that there is no one-size-fits-all path to healing. Whether you are navigating stress, relationship challenges, difficult life transitions, overwhelming emotions, or simply seeking greater self-awareness and personal growth, my goal is to meet you where you are and support you on your journey.
At Mind Over Chatter LLC, I am committed to helping clients quiet the mental “chatter,” strengthen their coping skills, and develop a greater sense of peace, confidence, and fulfillment. I am honored to walk alongside my clients as they work toward healing, growth, and becoming the best version of themselves.
You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. Sometimes, taking the first step toward support can open the door to meaningful change.
Welcome! My name is Alexis Tchuise, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with 10 years of experience. I specialize in helping clients overcome depression and anxiety and improve their self-care to become the best version of themselves.
My goal is to create a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space for you to explore your concerns and to develop coping strategies to overcome your challenges. We will identify your goals for treatment and work collaboratively to create a plan to achieve them. When you’re ready to start this brave journey, I’m here and ready to help you! I look forward to getting to know you during our first session and beyond.
With 26 years of experience in the mental health field, my background spans a wide array of treatment settings and diverse populations. My journey began in wilderness programming for adolescents, witnessing how nature and challenge foster powerful change. I then transitioned to residential programs for at-risk youth—including those with severe behavioral challenges and adolescent sexual offenders—and provided substance use treatment for youth and adults in detention facilities. Since 2016, I have focused heavily on the intersection of mental health and addiction, treating them as deeply interconnected.
Today, I specialize in treating all types of addiction, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and certain personality disorders. My passion lies in helping adolescents (ages 14–18) and adults navigate their struggles with honesty, support, and practical solutions. Taking an eclectic approach, I incorporate Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness into my practice. I also integrate creative modalities like sand tray and art therapy, knowing healing doesn’t always happen through words alone. Over my career, I have run numerous therapy groups and worked with a broad range of individuals, including LGBTQ+ and deaf clients.
Academically, I earned my bachelor’s in Psychology and Sociology from Frostburg State University (2000) and my Master of Social Work from Salisbury University (2011), obtaining my LGSW in 2011 and my LCSW-C in 2014.
At my core, I believe a fulfilling life requires balancing and nurturing the body, mind, and soul. My therapeutic approach is straightforward, genuine, and transparent: I don’t sugarcoat things, and what you see is what you get. I entered this field with a singular, clear purpose—to help people—and that remains my exact intention every day.
I am a seasoned licensed clinical professional counselor with successful experience helping clients reach their goals and feel confident they have the tools to cope with the seas of life. I provide an integrated platform to approach issues combining the mind and the body together. A client will find his/her results are measurable. A person will not simply feel better, they will be better.

Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Texas. I received my Masters from the Howard University and have been practicing for 5 years. Are you looking to improve your communication, strengthen your relationships, and manage conflict more effectively? Interpersonal skills are the foundation of healthy and thriving relationships—both personal and professional. If you are recovering from an emotionally abusive or narcissistic relationship and feel disconnected from yourself, therapy can also help you rebuild your identity, strengthen your relationship with yourself, and develop healthier relationship patterns.
I am a relationship counselor, currently providing individual and group therapy for adults aged 18 and older. I specialize in helping clients improve their relationship with themselves through personal growth and the development of healthier interpersonal skills, including communication, conflict resolution, anger management, boundary-setting, emotional regulation, and problem-solving skills. Many individuals struggling in unhealthy, emotionally abusive, or narcissistic relationship dynamics often lose their sense of self, confidence, voice, and emotional balance within those relationships. A major focus of my work is helping clients reconnect with themselves, rebuild healthier patterns, and strengthen how they show up in relationships with others.
How you relate to yourself impacts every relationship in your life. When you learn to communicate effectively, set healthy boundaries, manage emotions, and navigate challenges in healthier ways, your relationships often become stronger, more balanced, and more fulfilling. This growth can improve confidence, reduce stress, and support overall emotional wellness.
I provide a supportive environment where clients can increase self-awareness, create meaningful change, and develop healthier connections with themselves and others. Schedule an appointment with me to begin your wellness journey.

Hello! My name is Douglas (Doug) Starliper and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) licensed to practice psychotherapy in both Maryland and Virginia! I recently completed the supervised portion of my career and am currently fully licensed to practice independently as a LCSW-C.

If you can read this, you made the first step. Congratulations. Seeking therapy is hard. Most people delay and tell themselves that whatever they are experiencing must be the way life is. Chances are if you have reached the point to begin exploring therapy, counseling can help make your life better. While therapy is often hard, it can be an enjoyable and uplifting experience as well. I believe that you cannot laugh without a combination of insight and relief. You can expect some humor in most sessions.
I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 20 years. In that time I have worked with men, women, teens, and families on a wide variety of issues. Sometimes that work simply involved helping them through a particular incident or life change that overwhelmed them. Other times our work together centered around longstanding issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction.
In addition to traditional cognitive behavioral therapy, I also offer a fourth-wave therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). I have found this technique to be highly effective in helping people with trauma and or anxiety. Our minds and bodies are connected. Anyone who has experienced a tight neck and shoulders or an upset stomach when they were stressed knows this. EFT uses acupressure (done by the client) and cognitive interventions to provide fast and effective relief.
With over 20 years of clinical experience, I am ready to help you through the challenges you are facing. In addition to counseling, I also provide vocational testing, coaching, and consulting.
I provide both Christian and secular counseling depending on the needs of my clients.
For clients with high level confidentiality concerns due to corporate or clearance issues, there are ways we can do EFT without you ever speaking out loud about events.

Outside of the therapy room, he recharges through movies, poetry, working out, biking, horseback riding, reading, traveling abroad, meditating, playing video games, and socializing with friends.

If years of therapy, medication, books, and coping skills haven't created the change you're looking for, it may be because you've been treating the symptoms instead of the patterns producing them. Many of my clients come to me feeling frustrated, wondering why they understand their struggles yet continue to repeat the same thoughts, emotional reactions, relationship dynamics, or behaviors. My approach focuses on identifying and disrupting the developmental patterns driving those experiences by working with the brain and nervous system where they were formed and continue to be reinforced. Rather than teaching you how to better manage the same struggles, my goal is to help you create meaningful, lasting transformation so you can move forward with greater freedom, clarity, and confidence.

Hi, I'm Gabriella,
I have been a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) since 2013, but I have been in the mental health field since 2006. We all know that in recent years, specifically starting in 2020, our life as we knew it drastically changed. Our relationships with our family, friends, coworkers and even ourselves appeared to stall indefinitely. We had to learn to maneuver in different ways to try and have a sense of "normalcy." But as we tried to navigate this new way of life, our mental health has suffered. We have noticed that depression, anxiety, and relationship/interpersonal issues have been rising because we have isolated ourselves for so long. As people, we are social beings and tend to gravitate towards social situations. Within the last year, rules and mandates have eased, and we are resuming to our "new normal," and maybe we are feeling hesitant and vulnerable to step out. Reaching out for help is very difficult but the most rewarding decisions you make. We can work together to make step by step goals so you can achieve your success.

My career in healthcare began in 2014, and in 2017, I found my way to mental healthcare—so you could say I’ve been doing this for a little while! I take a culturally responsive, integrative approach to therapy, blending evidence-based practices with a psychodynamic perspective to help you better understand yourself, your relationships, and the experiences that have shaped you.
I lead with compassion, curiosity, and empathy, creating a space where you can feel safe exploring your concerns, gaining insight, and connecting with what matters most to you.
Together, we’ll work toward building a stronger, more grounded sense of self while exploring new ways of relating to yourself, others, and the world around you. My hope is that therapy becomes not only a place to heal, but also a space to practice new ways of being—so you can carry those experiences with you beyond our sessions.
