Welcome… I am here to create a safe, non-judgmental, warm, and goal-oriented space to discuss your concerns. Do you struggle with constant worry, never-ending thoughts, sadness, lack of motivation, loss of interest, “feeling stuck”, loneliness, low self-esteem, second guessing yourself in social situations, academic worries, anger, abandonment, attachment issues, body image concerns, blended families, break-ups, co-dependency, control issues, cultural concerns, domestic violence, feeling fidgety/restless, mood changes, mania, procrastination; or unable to complete tasks, have revolving guilt, issues with forgiveness, risky behaviors, racism, self-harm, suicidal ideation, or flashbacks from traumatic events? Maybe a career change or college studies overwhelm? My approaches involve the Trauma-Based Care/Human Rights Perspective, Strength’s Based modality, Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Rational Emotive Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. If you're hesitant, but open to begin your journey, let's start... slowly.
In our first session together, we will become acquainted with each other's roles in building a therapeutic rapport. I will ask you to share your current stressors, i.e. "What brought you into therapy today"? Additionally, we will discuss your expectations of our time together and how often we will meet for services. Moreover, we will review HIPAA policies and procedures; such as confidentiality.
I have a keen ability to assist in identifying negative thought processes, giving words to thoughts, emotions, and feelings to find resolve, and unlearn maladaptive coping tools, to replace with positive affirming tools.
