I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals through some of life’s most challenging moments. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, addiction and substance use, psychosis, identity development, and everyday stressors. I am passionate about creating affirming, compassionate spaces where every person feels seen, valued, and understood.
At the core of my work is a deep belief that everyone deserves care, dignity, and a place where they can show up exactly as they are. I am committed to helping people heal, grow, and advocate for their own well-being. Empowerment and compassion guide my approach, whether I’m supporting someone through acute crisis or helping them build long-term emotional resilience.
I completed my Master’s degree in Counseling at the Houston Graduate School of Theology, along with a Master of Divinity. My background in ministry has strengthened my ability to support people through emotional, spiritual, and existential challenges. It has equipped me with the skills to offer steadiness, encouragement, and thoughtful guidance during difficult times while respecting each person’s unique identity, worldview, and lived experience.
My therapeutic style is integrative, meaning I draw from several evidence-based approaches to best meet your individual needs. These include person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and strengths-based therapy. In practice, this means sessions with me often feel warm, collaborative, and grounded. I honor your story, build on your strengths, and work with you to develop practical tools and new ways of thinking that support your healing and growth.
Hi, I’m Dr. Keisha Simpson, LCSW, DSW, and I’m here to help you get unstuck and move toward the life you want.
I work with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or impacted by past experiences, and are ready for change—even if they’re not sure where to begin. I provide a safe, supportive, and culturally affirming space where you can be heard, understood, and empowered.
Using practical, evidence-based approaches, I help you develop the tools to manage your emotions, navigate challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change in your life.
Hi, I’m Dr. Thomika Andrews, DHA, LCSW-S, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Houston, TX. I specialize in trauma therapy helping young adults and professionals heal from workplace trauma, relationship issues, workplace burnout, and anxiety or depression that often stem from toxic work environments, high-pressure roles, or unresolved past experiences.
If you have experienced recent break up or divorce, a recent job loss or stress from a toxic workplace environment, I am here to support you.
I understand that life can be overwhelming and we all need someone to listen at times. It can be helpful to evaluate our lives, problems or certain situations in a safe and confidential setting. Current stressors, such as problems with work, family, romantic relationships or finances can make it difficult to function adequately. I have been working as a counseling psychologist for over 10 years with most of my experience with adult individuals. I enjoy conducting therapy with people from different backgrounds and have worked successfully with individuals who have experienced various types of trauma, such as childhood abuse, sexual or physical assaults, combat or domestic violence. I am also experienced in treating anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, anger management problems, or problem solving deficits. Making health behavior changes, such as behavior activation or weight management, can be achieved via therapy and I have successfully worked with individuals who wanted to improve their health.
I am originally from Germany and I speak English and German. I also lived in Switzerland and England for a while. I studied Psychology in the United States and graduated with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology.
If you are interested in booking a session with me, please call 1 (786) 244-7711 or email reception+Dr.13719@growtherapy.com.
I approach my work as a systematic thinker who combines empathy, nonjudgment, and compassionate behavioral practice to create a safe, supportive therapeutic environment. I am flexible and resourceful in helping clients identify and challenge patterns of cognitive and emotional “acculturation,” while fostering self-love and positive self-talk as pathways to healing. My practice focuses on empowering individuals to build insight, develop healthy coping strategies, and move toward meaningful change. I specialize in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and family conflict, offering guidance that is grounded in compassion, clarity, and evidence-based intervention.
I specialize in trauma therapy, LGBTQ+ affirming care, adult survivors of childhood abuse relearing how to parent, and direct ASL counseling for the Deaf community. I spent 30 years as a sign language interpreter before moving into this field. That background taught me how to be present during vulnerable moments and how to serve people who get overlooked by mainstream systems. My focus is on deeper therapy that helps people understand root causes of symptoms instead of trying to simply manage them. Coping skills help you survive the day. Knowing yourself changes how you live.

As a therapist, I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation, not a lecture, interrogation, or a checklist. My approach is supportive, honest, and focused on helping you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected so you can start making changes that actually stick. I create a space where you can be open about what you're going through without feeling judged, but I’ll also ask thoughtful questions, point out patterns you may not have noticed, and help you look at situations from new angles so we can figure out what’s actually keeping you stuck. In our work together, some sessions may focus on building coping skills or setting goals, while others may be about processing experiences and gaining clarity. I try to meet clients where they are while still helping them move toward meaningful progress. If you’re looking for a therapist who is supportive but also honest, engaged, and focused on helping you grow, we’ll likely work well together.
Hi there! I want to end the stigma associated with seeking help, especially with black and brown people. I hold a Ph.D. in Counselor Education, as well as I hold licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Louisiana.
I’m a therapist dedicated to providing a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your emotions, build self-esteem, and experience meaningful growth. I support clients through their healing, therapeutic, and spiritual journeys, helping them reconnect with their strengths and move toward greater clarity, balance, and well-being. Thank you very much for checking here; I am honored to serve you. My 17+ years of experience includes many years of counseling and listening, across various cultures, ages and personal client needs, with a few years as adjunct professor at Louisiana State University, Shreveport, LA: 3 years of work as a patient counselor in a hospital psychiatric unit, and 3 years of practice in a pediatric clinic. My current solo practice is empathetic, accepting and non-judgmental, having also practiced as an EAP (employee counselor) in a very large hospital and city system, in which I was required to see anyone for any situation or issue they may bring to counseling. I believe this has made me more sensitive to the needs, hurts and stress of the various clients I serve. I am generally available 6 days a week for appointments, because I really do enjoy my practice and my clients. I am licensed in Louisiana, Oregon and Florida and serve clients in those states, as well as in overseas countries.
I am old enough to enjoy my 6 children, 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchild, together with my wife in a delightful sharing relationship. This creates a relaxed, accepting and strong relationship and family foundation for your counseling needs. My personal strengths hopefully convey to you a caring and positive mindset as we work together.
My hobbies are sailing, backpacking, snow skiing and cooking (especially apple pies:)
Hope to hear from you soon!
