I am originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, but reside in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD). I am a former Licensed Master Social worker- Advanced Practitioner, former Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and former Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. Former positions held include, Clinic Manager, Alcohol Drug Abuse Social Work Supervisor, Lead EAP Counselor, and Program Manager, etc. I enjoy reading, listening to various genres of music, watching movies, traveling, and interacting with friends. I am married and have two adult children. Additionally, I have one deceased child. My favorite treatment modality is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My favorite pro sports teams are the Pittsburgh Steelers, New Orleans Saints, Montreal Canadiens, Los Angeles Lakers, Minnesota Lynx, and the Oakland/Las Vegas Athletics. I am a graduate of Dillard University (BA in Social Work), Southern University (MSW). And currently a student at Walden University where I am currently working towards a PsyD degree in Psychology. I have over 30 years of experience in counseling. I am LICENSED in LOUISIANA, MINNESOTA, and GEORGIA.
In our first session, I’ll share more about my background and the model that I follow. I will then ask you to share a little information about yourself, including why you are seeking counseling and your goals.
I am easy going, and extremely easy to talk to. I am respectful of others cultures and beliefs. I believe that I am a good listener.
My ideal client is one who comes with an open mind and is ready to tackle the source of their problems, and willing to put in the work to work through their issues to resolution. One that is open to taking advice and is willing to change their way of thinking if needed to get to both the core and source of their pain.

I do not force my beliefs onto others, nor am I a religious zealot. I am a simple Christian man who believes that there is a reason why I am conscious and breathing in this remarkable vessel called the human body.

Both myself and the clients look at the issues causing turmoil, and together we come up with real, workable solutions to get the couple back to a place of peace and harmony.
