Hi there, my names is Meghan Skidmore and I am a licensed clinical social worker in Northern Illinois. I have 18 years of experience as a clinical social worker. I have previously worked with children in mental health crisis as well as with children and families involved with the child welfare system. I also have worked the past 15 years as a school social worker, working with children and families to help them be successful in and out of the school setting.
Hi! I am Danielle Kimble, LCPC. I earned my B.A in Psychology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and her M.A in Community Counseling from Argosy University.
I employ different integrative approaches when working with clients including cognitive-behavioral, solution focused, and emotion-focused therapy. I believe in building a trusting relationship between the client and counselor to build the foundation of a successful counseling relationship.
I help high-achieving women step onto the other side of trauma, boundary issues and relationship strain. Relationship strain, toxic habits, and mother wounds often go unprocessed causing a significant amount of stress, overwhelm, and feelings of depression that travels and seeps into other areas of their lives. Are you a woman who has found themselves in the midst of having to navigate unprocessed trauma or grief from having to survive toxic romantic partners or relationships? Have you done an audit on your life and discovered that there are themes driving you to repeat the same habits and cycles? It may be time to explore those pain points and heal those areas to reduce the amount of times you cycle through the same seasons.
I help women by creating a space for them to process their prolonged sadness, feelings of disappointment, grief, loss, depression, overwhelm, shame, and guilt related to unprocessed trauma, boundary issues, and toxic relationships.
I invite you to begin the work of exploring what support looks like for you. My approach to therapy is rooted in evidenced-based skills and practices and empowerment theory to guide people toward feeling gratified, powerful and in control again.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by day-to-day life? Are there things from your past that are unresolved? Do you desire self-improvement but don’t know where to start?
Starting where you are is the first step in every new journey. I want to help guide you on your journey by helping you to unlock your own inner power to make transformative changes in your life. This can sound overwhelming, but you don’t have to do this work alone. I take a client-centered approach by meeting you wherever you may be in your journey of healing and self-discovery. Whether it be depression, anxiety, trauma, work or family stress or issues surrounding self-esteem and identity, you’ll receive the support that you need. I get it. Therapy can be intimidating. That is why I aim to provide a safe and affirming space for my clients to open up, grow and heal.
In my 7 years as a social worker, compassion and understanding have always been at the cornerstone of the work that I do with my clients. Our sessions will not be the exception to this. This along with evidence-based techniques will be the key to helping you identify and overcome the current barriers in your life. Ready to work together? Let’s do it!
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois and Oregon with six years of experience in the mental health field. I do live in Illinois. I take a holistic approach with my clients but also incorporate various therapy techniques based on their needs and expectations. I strongly value the mind-body connection. I’m Jarom “Jay” Matheson, MSW, LCSW, a licensed clinical psychotherapist based in Chicago. I help individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and major life transitions with compassion, curiosity, and practical support. My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth, blending CBT, DBT skills, trauma-informed care, and EMDR to create a space where clients feel truly seen and supported. Together, we focus on building effective coping tools, strengthening resilience, and creating meaningful, lasting emotional growth—one step at a time.
I am Deaf and use American Sign Language (ASL). I have over 10 years of experience working with both Deaf/Hard of Hearing and hearing clients. For hearing clients, a qualified ASL interpreter is provided at no cost, and all interpreters are bound by strict professional confidentiality standards. Confidentiality and client privacy are always protected, ensuring a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for everyone.
During our first session, we will focus on getting to know you and understanding your reasons for seeking therapy. I will ask questions about your background, current concerns, mental health history, and what you hope to achieve in therapy. This helps me get a clear picture of your unique situation and begin identifying goals together.
We will also review how therapy works, discuss confidentiality and professional boundaries, and answer any questions you have about the process. Together, we will start to explore your strengths, coping strategies, and any immediate concerns so that we can develop a plan tailored to your needs.
I would describe myself as warm, honest, and practical. My goal is to create a space where you feel truly heard and understood, while also helping you take meaningful steps toward the life you want. Every person already has strengths within them, even when stress, pain, or old patterns make those strengths hard to access.
In our work together, I will meet you with empathy, curiosity, and respect. I will also be direct when needed. I do not believe therapy is about judgment, but I do believe growth often requires accountability, honesty, and a willingness to try new ways of thinking and responding.

I have had the pleasure of conducting therapy with people of various ages and backgrounds. Hello, I’m Steve Guziec, a licensed therapist, combat veteran, and chaplain specializing in PTSD, anxiety, depression, men’s mental health, military and veteran concerns, and recovery from cults and spiritual abuse. My approach combines evidence-based counseling with compassion, practical tools, and respect for each client's values and beliefs. For those who desire it, I can incorporate faith and spirituality into the counseling process as we work toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
I am a social worker with 25 years of experience supporting clients across the lifespan — from infants and their caregivers to older adults navigating later‑life challenges. My work is grounded in the belief that our thoughts are powerful drivers of our emotions and behaviors. When we learn to understand and reshape those thoughts, meaningful and lasting change becomes possible.
Using Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), I help clients harness the power of their thinking to influence how they feel and act in everyday situations. Many people have been taught to “just change their behavior,” and when that doesn’t work, they blame themselves. I guide clients toward a different approach — one that starts with the mind, not with willpower.
In our sessions, I use analogies, real‑life examples, and practical tools that clients can immediately apply. My goal is for every session to end with one new tool for their toolbox, something concrete they can practice between sessions. And while the work is meaningful, I believe it can also be engaging — even fun — as clients begin to see themselves and the world through a new, more empowering lens.

Hi, my name is Stephanie!
Life is not something we experience in a cookie-cutter manner. If you are struggling through any form of loss, weather loss of a loved one, identity, or pet loss you don’t have to do it alone. Sitting with grief takes vulnerability, which is something we can discover and process together.
Discovering your sense of self and identity, particularly during a transitional time in your life can trigger untapped emotions. This may include discovering layers of your self. Together, we can create a safe space to explore aspects of who you are.
My background is in dance/movement therapy and I am open to incorporating creativity into sessions. I use a body-focused lens in my practice, which can lead to a more intimate connection with the self.

I am a licensed clinical social worker by education, and I have been a licensed clinician for over 23 years. Most recently my career has brought me to work in collaboration with GROW as a private therapist. I have been working on GROW for nearly 2 years. I also work part time as a group therapy counselor for aging adults in an intensive mental health and community outreach program. I love both occupational settings and clients with ever growing passion.
We live in a fast-moving society, and it can be hard to keep up with all of our various adult life roles and responsibilities. Adults, young and aging, who are making mental health a priority in their lives are notably the most satisfied and happy individuals in this challenging society. I offer my clients a safe space to explore their experiences in this world, explore and express their feelings, get to know themselves on a deeper level, and learn skills to take control of their thoughts and emotions. I challenge my clients to intentionally practice new skills or approaches outside of our sessions. My ultimate objective is teaching my clients healthy emotion management and helping them achieve their definition of personal success and satisfaction.
I have worked with a variety of clients of various adult ages and stages. Each phase of our adult life comes with unique challenges. I have extensive and varied experience working with adults in late stages of life, long past retirement, and clients who are nearing death. The last stage of life is the most challenging and requires the most assistance yet there are limited services to support the mental health needs of the current aging population. This is a serious problem, and I am on a mission to be part of the solution.

On Abuse: “I lived in a glass house into which my mother could look at any time. In a glass house, however, you cannot conceal anything without giving yourself away, except by hiding it under the ground. And then you cannot see it yourself, either.”
On Depression: “Trees aren’t supposed to display fruit; they’re supposed to produce it. As much as I wanted to see results, I knew that I had to wait. The tree had to become healthy and mature before it could produce the fruit, and that takes time.”
If what you read resonates with you, this is the type of therapy I offer. I push, and sometimes might make you cry—not to harm, but for growth. I deeply care about my patients and only want the best for you.
I am not judgmental; I am here to listen and provide feedback. I often ask myself the question: if I were sitting where you are, would I come back? And the answer is yes. I give homework, so don’t expect it to be easy unless we need it to be. I am flexible, and my schedule is pretty open to fit your needs.
We’re going to have days where we just catch up and talk about what happened that week but be prepared to talk about your past. I believe together we can grow into the person you want to be.
I’m a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience helping teens, young adults, adults and families navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in working with anxiety, OCD/ERP, substance use, and relationship issues. My background includes extensive work within locked facility settings, which has positioned me to support first responders, residential/correctional staff, and other helping professionals exposed to chronic stress, vicarious trauma, and high-stakes decision-making. I understand the culture, demands, and emotional toll of these roles and provide therapy that is practical, respectful, and grounded in real-world experience. As a parent, I have a special interest in working with parents — including parents navigating substance use issues, co-parenting stress, difficult family dynamics, or communication challenges within the family system. Whether you are feeling burnt out, disconnected, or stuck in recurring conflict, therapy can help you develop healthier coping strategies, improve relationships, and feel more grounded. My approach is supportive, client-centered, and culturally sensitive, helping you develop practical skills to help you move forward with confidence. My goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and more empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.
