New to Grow
Hi, I’m a licensed clinical social worker with nearly 20 years of experience in the medical and mental health field. I provide a relaxed, down-to-earth space where you can show up exactly as you are without feeling judged or overwhelmed. My approach blends practical tools with real, honest conversations to help you better understand your thoughts, manage anxiety, and feel more in control of your life. Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping you make meaningful, lasting changes.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and building a sense of comfort and trust. I’ll ask about different areas of your life and what’s been going on, so I can understand the bigger picture and how it’s all impacting you. I keep things relaxed and light where it makes sense—this isn’t an interrogation or anything overly clinical. It’s more of a conversation, at your pace, where you can start to feel comfortable being yourself.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I’ve spent years working in a wide range of settings with all kinds of people, which means I’m pretty comfortable meeting you exactly where you are—no matter your background or what you’re coming in with. That experience helps me create a space that feels relaxed, safe, and genuinely comfortable pretty quickly. I’m not the super formal, sit-back-and-nod type. I aim to make therapy feel more like you’re talking to a real person—someone who’s easy to open up to, but also gives you honest feedback, practical tools, and insights that actually help.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I’m best positioned to work with people who are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or just stuck in their own thoughts and patterns. A lot of my clients are used to holding it all together on the outside, but internally feel stressed, burnt out, or unsure how to slow things down. I work really well with people who want a space that feels comfortable and non-judgmental, and who are open to learning practical tools while also exploring what really matters to them. If you’re wanting to feel more in control of your emotions, quiet the mental noise, and start showing up in your life in a way that actually feels good—you’re probably a great fit.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to assist with shifting the way your brain thinks, reframe and replace thinking process that are hindering you. While also focusing on small behavioral changes and increasing coping skills.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Helps clients accept difficult thoughts and feelings rather than fighting them, while focusing on what truly matters to them. Guide clients to take meaningful action aligned with their values, even in the presence of discomfort.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Together we build skills to manage intense emotions, tolerate distress, and improve relationships. Working to balance acceptance and change by teaching mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills.
