(they/them)
I'm a queer nonbinary African American Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Illinois. With a Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), I've been practicing for 5 years to support children, teens, and young adults up to age 30 with becoming the best versions of themselves. Trained to help you manage depression, anxiety, ADHD, substance use, and gender identity, your LGBTQ+ affirming therapist of color awaits!
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me complete an intake assessment and create a plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
In my clinical experience, I've come to realize that my strengths are authenticity, empathy, curiosity, and a sense of humor.
Clients that express willingness to engage in therapy, arriving on time and consistently with respect to time management and effectively communicating scheduling conflicts. Therapist has preference for individuals that identify as an LGBTQ+ person of color among the ages of 10-30 years old. Clients must be comfortable with having a nonbinary transgender therapist and must be respectful of therapist's gender neutral pronouns.
