Hi! I'm Dena (she/her). I have 15 years experience and truly love my vocation! I enjoy empowering individuals to achieve their goals and live their best lives. I believe everyone has the ability to heal, sometimes we all need a little help. I am passionate about the power of therapy to aid people in living their best, most authentic lives. I live on the tristate border and provide remote therapy for persons in Illinois and Iowa. An Iowa native, I spent about a decade living and working in SoCal and Phoenix before returning to the Midwest to be with my (now) husband and step kids. Yes, I left sunny San Diego, in December, for the snowy Midwest! The things we’ll do for love! I have personally benefitted greatly from therapy. I am Bi/queer, have ADHD, and several physical disabilities, all of which were diagnosed after college. Therapy helped me develop much needed coping skills so I could be successful in grad school and beyond. Therapy also helped me with the intense stressors related to being a young professional during the Great Recession. I continue to utilize therapy as part of my self care routine. If you are coping with symptoms of anxiety, depression, low self worth, or concerns related to ADHD or chronic health conditions, I would love the opportunity to work with you. I would love to help you to achieve a present no longer overshadowed by past traumas, negative self talk, or uncontrolled anxiety.

Hi, I’m Dr. DeAnna (Dee) Brookhart. If you’re here, chances are life feels heavier than it should. Maybe stress won’t let up, anxiety keeps you on edge, or sadness has dulled your energy. Perhaps your relationship feels strained, or addiction has taken more space than you want it to. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to carry it by yourself. I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois, Wisconsin and Utah, and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor with nearly 30 years of experience. Over the years, I’ve supported individuals, couples, and families through struggles like anxiety, depression, addiction, marital or couples issues, workplace trauma, and the challenges of blended family life. I also work with clients navigating personality struggles or the lasting effects of stress and trauma. My approach is warm and collaborative. We’ll clarify what matters most to you, set realistic goals, and work at a pace that feels safe. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused strategies — always adapted to your needs. Sessions with me often include open conversation, practical coping tools, encouragement, and sometimes even humor when it helps ease the weight. I see healing as holistic. That means looking at not only your thoughts and emotions, but also how stress shows up in your body, how you connect with others, and how your daily habits shape your well-being. I work best with adults and couples ready to make changes, even if they’re not sure where to start. Outside the office, I love cooking, reading, traveling to the beach, and spending time with my family. I have ADORABLE grandkids! And of course Charlie, my Golden Retriever. If you’re ready to feel lighter, find clarity, and rebuild what matters most, I’d be honored to walk that path with you.

My name is Shavone Marie Williams-Moss, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I entered the field of social work largely because of my family background; I was raised by a single father while my mother struggled with substance abuse and mental health issues and could not perform her role as a parent. One day as an adult in my 20's, I saw my mother sitting on a bench on the main street in Kentucky. I welcomed her into my home only to discover she not only suffered from homelessness but bipolar disorder, major depression, and substance abuse. My mother lived with me for a year, after which she passed away. This situation made me wonder, what if, in her younger years, she would have met someone who was supportive, understanding, kind, selfless, and invested in helping her be the best version of her, she could be. It was then that I decided to enter the Social Work Field. I wanted to provide help to those who could not help themselves and aid to those in need.

I am a social worker with over 20 years of experience working with clients from infants (support to parents) to geriatrics. I believe that our thoughts are powerful to change our behavior. Using Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), I work with clients to harness the power of their thoughts to make a difference in their emotional reactions and behaviors in everyday situations. We often have been taught to "just change our behavior" and then we get down on ourselves when we can't. This change can radically change how people see themselves and the world around them. By using analogies, client's everyday lives, and giving tools that clients can practice, and I work with clients to feel better and see the World through a different lens. The goal is to leave every session with a tool to add to their toolbox and to try and have some fun doing it.

After 30+ years in executive roles at leading hospitals and health systems—including Kaiser Permanente, Mount Sinai, and Northwestern Memorial—I’m thrilled to launch my private therapy practice. My career has always focused on helping people thrive, whether by supporting families and or individuals during tough times or developing talent. I hold an MSW from Loyola University, am licensed in AZ, FL, IL, KY, NM, and WV, and earned an MBA from North Park University plus an executive management certification from USC. Life has taken me across the U.S. and abroad, enriching my perspective. Outside work, I love traveling, hiking, reading, and exploring art. What happens when our well-intentioned - yet sometimes uncooperative - brains try to protect us from experiencing harm? Yup, you got it! It's called Stress, also known as Anxiety, and at times it can be quite the nuisance. You are welcome to join me on a journey of knowledge and self-discovery to recognize and appreciate how our brain and bodies have helped us survive the personal challenges and struggles life presents. And then, let's help our brain recognize that, when we are actually safe, we don't need to go into stress mode, and we can learn how to direct Anxiety to take a seat until it is next needed. Often times, Anxiety's friends, Depression and Trauma, love to join the party (uninvited). Together, we can learn to appreciate them as well, while sending them on their way. Along the way, let's tap into a bit of Grace and Self-Compassion. Let's also identify the multitude of Strengths and Resources in place, and use them to move from a Fear-Based response, to one of Courage.

I’m a therapist focused on men’s mental health with a special emphasis in addiction recovery. In plain English: I help men who are overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck in habits they swear they’re quitting… next week. I’m here to help you break patterns that don’t work—even the ones you’ve been stubbornly loyal to. If addiction, compulsive behaviors, anxiety, depression, or relationship stress are running your life like a chaotic group project, we’ll work together to take the wheel back. My approach is part strategy, part straight talk, and part humor—because if we can’t laugh at the mess sometimes, the mess wins. And honestly—if you just need to talk about Wednesday, we can do that too. Together, we’ll dig into what’s behind your patterns, build coping skills that actually work, and help you stop self-destructing out of sheer habit. We’ll also tackle distractions and develop real self-love—two surprisingly powerful tools for becoming the guy you meant to be. And no, self-love is not as weird as it sounds. I offer in person Visits Sundays and Mondays.

Hi, I’m Lucretia! I’m a therapist in Illinois, and I work exclusively via telehealth. I’m here to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and respected—just as you are. My practice is rooted in a firm belief that everyone is worthy of love, respect, and understanding. I value authenticity, empathy, and self-awareness, both for myself and my clients, and I consider these qualities essential for meaningful therapy. I also believe in the power of laughter to ease even the heaviest conversations. Humor can open doors to deeper insight, so I use it thoughtfully and often! In our sessions, I aim to normalize and validate your experiences, no matter where you’re coming from, without judgment. My goal is to help you tap into your unique strengths and work through whatever might be holding you back. Therapy is a powerful tool, and I’ve witnessed its transformative impact on my clients’ lives, as well as in my own. I’ve leaned on therapy through my nearly 10 years in the field and through personal challenges, including loss and the experience of caretaking for a terminal illness. If you’re navigating anxiety, depression, or trauma-related struggles, I’d love the chance to work with you. I’m passionate about supporting women ages 20+ who are finding their footing in the world, going through life transitions (divorce, career changes, becoming a parent, etc.), though I work with people of all ages and backgrounds. Many of my clients struggle with relationship problems, histories of childhood traumatic experiences, abuse, or self-worth issues. I’m here to meet you wherever you’re at. My aim is to help you create a present that feels free from the shadows of past experiences, with a future that’s built on self-acceptance, resilience, and, of course, a little bit of laughter.

I received my Masters Degree from Chicago State University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and I have a combined sixteen years of experience in helping teenagers, young adults and adults navigate the challenges of life while promoting wellness and self-care. I find that it can be challenging, trying to figure out where you are presently and where you are trying to go. While navigating current life experiences, these challenges can cause frustration, with a need to seek freedom, sometimes choosing the unhealthy ways to cope. Sometimes we need a space and a support person that can help us navigate through these challenges and find healthy ways to cope. I am here to provide that support.
