As a Latina, neurodivergent, and Jewish therapist, I understand that our identities influence how we experience relationships, community, belonging, and mental health. I enjoy working with individuals who are exploring the impact of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, neurodivergence, and other important aspects of who they are. Whether you are navigating questions of identity, cultural expectations, discrimination, or self-acceptance, I provide a space where your experiences can be explored with curiosity, respect, and compassion.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel both hopeful and overwhelming. It's normal to have questions about what to expect or wonder whether therapy is the right fit for you. We will discuss what brings you to therapy and the concerns you'd like to address. We' will also spend time reviewing your personal history, including important life experiences, relationships, mental health history, and any factors that may be contributing to your current challenges. This will help me develop a more complete understanding of your experiences and identify the best way to support you moving forward. We will also discuss what you hope to gain from therapy. Some people begin therapy with clear goals, while others are still figuring out what they need. Wherever you are starting, we will work together to identify priorities and develop goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you. The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about the therapy process, my approach, and what future sessions may look like. By the end of our meeting, you can expect to have a better understanding of how we might work together and the areas we will focus on in treatment. My goal is for you to leave with a clearer sense of direction and confidence in the next steps of your therapeutic journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. I regularly participate in trainings and continuing education opportunities to stay current with evidence-based practices and emerging approaches to therapy. This allows me to thoughtfully adapt my work to each client's needs and provide care that is informed, effective, and relevant. I am naturally curious and enjoy helping clients better understand themselves, their patterns, and the challenges they face. My approach balances compassion with practical problem-solving, creating space for both reflection and meaningful change. Clients often describe me as empathetic, insightful, and a strong listener. I take pride in helping people feel understood while also supporting them in identifying solutions, developing new skills, and building on their existing strengths. I also believe therapy should have value beyond the session itself. Whether through new insights, coping strategies, or a different perspective, I strive to ensure that clients leave each session with something meaningful they can apply in their daily lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with people who come from all walks of life who are dealing with issues around their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation and gender identity. In addition, I have begun to work with adults who have been diagnosed or who are realizing that they may have ADHD and/or be on the autism spectrum.

My treatment methods

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I am well versed in Social Justice Theory and have conducted trainings for professionals on decolonizing therapy and supporting people in achieving goals that they choose. I encourage clients to work with me as a partner in their therapy to ensure that clients feel respected and that I am able to honor and celebrate their culture and beliefs.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

The client therapist relationship is the most crucial part of the therapeutic process. I make sure that clients feel supported with a sense of unconditional positive regard from me.

Trauma Informed Care

I have 20 years of experience working with survivors of trauma. I work to look at the function certain behaviors have, and support the client in understanding the functions they serve and may continue to serve.

Integrative

I use modalities such as CBT, DBT and informational intervention based on what the client needs and their goals.

Brainspotting

I have recently to use this technique to treat trauma and I am in the process of being certified.
