LPC, 10 years of experience
Are you feeling overwhelmed by the constant demands of work, parenting, or life in general? You’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself. I work with adults who are struggling to manage stress, burnout, anxiety, and depression, especially those trying to juggle the pressures of professional and personal responsibilities. I have a special focus on supporting educators and school professionals who often give so much to others that their own well-being takes a back seat. Together, we’ll create a supportive, collaborative space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change. My approach is warm, practical, and tailored to help you feel better and find a sense of balance again. Before transitioning into private practice, I spent 34 years working in public schools, helping students, families, and staff navigate life’s challenges. That experience gave me a deep understanding of how stress shows up across all areas of life—and how important it is to have a safe place to process, heal, and grow.
Your first session is all about you—your story, your needs, and your hopes for the future. We’ll start by simply talking about what’s been going on and what brought you here. There’s no right or wrong way to share; I’ll meet you exactly where you are. Together, we’ll figure out what you want to work toward and what “better” means for you. By the end of our time, you’ll start to answer the question: “I know things are better when…” My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and clear that this is a space where real change can happen.
With over 30 years working in special education alongside parents and educators, I bring a lot of real-world experience to therapy. What really sets me apart is how deeply I listen—not just to your words, but to the feelings and stories behind them. I’m skilled at helping you connect the dots between your past experiences, your thoughts, and how you show up in your life today. I believe every feeling matters, and my job is to walk alongside you, witnessing your journey as you take charge and shape the life you want. It’s this mix of experience, empathy, and connection that helps create real, lasting change.
I help dedicated educators—and other professionals and parents—who give so much to others that there’s often little left for themselves. You may love the work you do, but it’s hard to turn it off at the end of the day. Maybe you carry work home, say “yes” when you really want to say “no,” or feel like your mind never stops. Over time, the stress can turn into anxiety, burnout, or depression. I understand the weight of constantly showing up for students, colleagues, clients, or family while feeling like your own needs are pushed to the side. In therapy, we’ll focus on setting healthy boundaries, creating a better work–life balance, and finding ways to care for yourself without guilt. My goal is to help you feel calmer, more present, and more energized—so you can keep doing the work and living the life you love, without losing yourself in the process.
Together, we examine how thoughts influence emotions and behaviors. By identifying and shifting unhelpful thinking patterns, you can make meaningful changes in how you feel and act.
I incorporate mindfulness-based therapy by guiding you through grounding exercises and mindful breathing to help them stay present during emotional distress. I also encourage daily mindfulness routines to build self-awareness and support emotional regulation outside of sessions.
I listen to you and your needs, drawing from a wide variety of treatment approaches. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all—each person is unique, and every session is tailored to reflect that. Together, we explore what works best for you and how to move toward a place of greater peace and calm.
