VirtualAvailable

I offer therapy that fits you by understanding your challenges, creating a plan, and celebrating your progress. I offer a safe, inclusive space with in‑person or virtual sessions. We will work together on tough things like boundaries, grief, transitions, and patterns that keep you stuck. I am certified in therapeutic table-top gaming which allows for the therapy experience to happen through table-top role playing games. I also offer EMDR to help you with processing your deepest traumas and triggers. I can also work with you and your partner to build a relationship that is solid and fulfilling for everyone involved.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session together will focus on your goals and what you would like to get out of your therapy experience. I will work to get to know you and learn more about your hopes for the future you. Together we can collaborate to create the best therapy experience to make sure that you can achieve your goals and become the best version of yourself. Therapy is a river, and you drive the boat. I make suggestions on where you might want to go, and help you learn how to deal with the rocks and waterfalls. I hope that, together, we can help you grow into your best self.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am a firm advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, women's equality, and gender affirming care. I work very hard to make my therapy experience and space inclusive and comfortable for anyone that walks through the door (even if that door is online). One of my passions is being able to do this work through something that I love and enjoy, and that is tabletop RPGs. I am a huge nerd and love TTRPGs, anime, manga, cosplay, high fantasy, not so high fantasy, and most other things that you would find at your general nerdy convention space. I am able to bring all of those things into the therapy space, and work with those to help you overcome anything that you need.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am well versed in trauma treatment and approaches, and would love to work with clients that are members of the LGBTQ+ community. I feel that it is very important to provide a safe place for anyone to be whoever they feel they need to be in that moment. I also feel that everyone should be supported for who they are and where they feel their goals need to be. I am a resource for complex trauma, gender-affirming care, women's issues, family issues, couples, and parenting.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I used ACT both in talk therapy and in TTRPG therapy. I enjoy using this modality as it helps people to identify things that keep them stuck, and to overcome those things. I also enjoy using this with individuals and couples.

Couples Counseling

I love working with couples and relationships. The people that we choose to allow into our most vulnerable places in life become those that can become the most important. I feel that it is worth making sure that those relationships are productive, safe, and mutually beneficial.

Polyvagal Therapy

Being able to tap into the somatic experience of the body is something that can really help people to determine what steps they need to feel safe in their environment. I use polyvagal therapy interventions to help identify those things that might pull you out of your window of tolerance and what we can do with each area of polyvagal treatment.

EMDR

I have been an EMDR therapist for almost 4 years now and have seen how this modality can help people with PTSD and C-PTSD in dramatic ways. This is one of my favorite therapies to provide to clients that have experienced things in the past that are still very hard to deal with.

Group Therapy

I have provided group therapy for most of my career, and I feel that it is a valuable way to help people collaborate and communicate with each other. I have held both support groups and therapy groups during my career for various different populations.
