Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, I will ask about why you have come to see me? Then we will do a comprehensive assessment to make sure I understand all the important things about you. I will give you a "Brief Mood Survey" which will tell me how strong your symptoms are. Then we will set some goals for treatment. I will also ask you if you have any questions about me or the work I do.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Mary’s warm, friendly approach supports a gentle environment for healing. She has a way of making you feel like the most important person in the world when you’re talking to her; many clients remark about her big heart and empathy. Mary uses over 50 CBT techniques in session. She will keep working until she finds the techniques that work best for each client. Mary is a member of the LGBT community and welcomes LGBT folks in her Practice.

I was very nervous to try therapy, and Mary helped me feel comfortable from day one. She has been supportive and encouraging, pushing me to do better without judgement. After years of feeling stuck struggling with the same issues, I have finally made real progress, and I couldn't have done it without her.
