I work well with high-functioning women who may appear strong and capable on the outside, but internally feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them.
My approach is supportive, honest, structured, and intentional. Therapy with me is not passive venting only. I help clients identify what is keeping them stuck, strengthen emotional awareness, improve boundaries, reduce overthinking, and create practical shifts that support lasting growth.
Clients often come to me when they are ready to stop simply coping and begin moving with more clarity, confidence, emotional balance, and purpose. My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches and guided by compassion, accountability, collaboration, and respect.

My goal is to help people through the tough chapters so that they move into better chapters with additional tools to handle challenges and stresses. I don't view people as being broken or needing fixing. We all need someone with whom to sort things through at times, someone who isn't part of our day-to-day mix.
In therapy, clients develop more effective expectations by redefining their stresses and challenges, reduce emotional upset and distress by looking at their issues from a new angle, and feel empowered by trying new approaches to effective problem-solving. Good therapy looks at how your thoughts, feelings, body, and sense of purpose all connect. My approach focuses on the whole person. Hi, I’m Chanel! I am a licensed therapist passionate about helping women build confidence, strengthen their relationships, and create the life they truly want. I specialize in Solution-Focused Therapy, guiding clients to uncover their strengths and develop practical steps toward meaningful change. My approach is supportive, empowering, and designed to help you move forward with clarity and confidence. I believe, the answer is inside of you waiting to be uncovered.
I'm a licensed transpersonal therapist practicing in Georgia. I went to grad school at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, which is a pioneer in mind, body and spiritual approaches. I have a passion for integrating Western psychology, Eastern philosophy and holistic modalities. I love helping clients to access their own inner wisdom, strengths and sense of agency. I am passionate about the healing power of nature in regulating our nervous systems and reigniting our primal energies.
Do you feel like you're running at full capacity with no room left to breathe? On the surface, you have it all together: the high-performing professional, the dependable parent, the supportive partner. Underneath, it's different. Anxiety that won't quiet. Depression creeping in. Burnout from roles that never let you clock out. Often it's all of them at once, tangled together until they blur.
I bring an engineer's mindset to therapy. My background in Mechanical Engineering shaped how I see problems, not as isolated issues but as complex systems needing recalibration. Most high-achievers I work with are tired of surface-level talk therapy; they want results. Together, we analyze what's actually breaking down, whether it's depression, anxiety, career burnout, or family dynamics. We build a concrete evidence-based plan using tools such as DBT and EMDR to process trauma and tackle performance issues. For over a decade, I've guided clients through major life transitions, for example career pivots, new parenthood, and loss, toward lives rooted in purpose and sustainable well-being.
Licensed Psychotherapist | Culturally Sensitive | Trauma-Informed
Welcome, I’m Nubia.
Healing doesn’t happen overnight — but with the right support, it absolutely happens. Whether you're working through trauma, betrayal, anxiety, divorce, or simply feeling emotionally stuck, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity, strength, and care.
I work with adults navigating life transitions, stress, or emotional wounds that have been hard to process alone. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or unsure of how to break free from patterns that no longer serve them. Together, we explore the deeper “why” behind those patterns — and create space for healing, resilience, and growth.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). These methods help us understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected — and how to gently shift the beliefs that keep you feeling stuck. But beyond technique, I lead with authenticity, compassion, and cultural awareness.
In our sessions, you’ll find a space that feels safe, honest, and judgment-free. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’re returning to it, you are welcome exactly as you are.
Clients often tell me they feel more centered, more empowered, and more hopeful after working together. I offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and virtual sessions, because healing should fit into real life.
If you’re ready to begin your journey — whether you’re clear on your goals or still figuring them out — I’d be honored to support you.
Let’s take the first step, together.
Warmly,
Nubia Anacius , MS,NBCC,LPC

My work is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a deep commitment to helping each person uncover their strengths, overcome challenges, and move toward a more fulfilling and authentic life.
My approach to counseling is rooted in the belief that trust is the most vital component of this shared journey. A safe, non-judgmental environment is offered where you can openly explore feelings, thoughts, and reactions to life's events. It is important that you feel comfortable and supported. I use CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Solution-Focused Therapy to achieve results quickly.
