Hi, I'm Erika Gardner, a licensed therapist with 14 years of experience helping adults feel more like themselves again. If you have been struggling with anxiety, stress, low mood, or just feeling like life has gotten too heavy to carry on your own, you are in the right place. I work with women and adults who are navigating some of life's most challenging chapters, whether that is managing overwhelming emotions, healing from past experiences, or simply trying to find their footing again. My style is warm, collaborative, and completely at your pace. I pull from a mix of talk therapy, practical coping tools, and goal-focused strategies so that sessions feel both supportive and productive. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling a little clearer, a little steadier, and with something real you can use. I believe that healing looks different for everyone, and I am here to honor your story while helping you build the tools to move forward with more confidence and ease. Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my family and reading books from diverse genres. I would love the opportunity to support you. Feel free to reach out, and let's take that first step together.
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask about what brings you to therapy, how you’ve been feeling, and what’s been weighing on you — all at a pace that feels comfortable. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood from the very beginning. We’ll talk about what you’re hoping to gain from therapy, whether that’s reducing symptoms of depression or anxiety, managing stress, improving mood, or simply finding more clarity and balance. Together, we’ll begin shaping goals that feel meaningful and achievable for you. We’ll go over the intake forms you completed, clarify any details, and discuss your history, current concerns, and any patterns you’ve noticed. This helps me understand your experiences more fully and ensures we’re starting with a clear picture of your needs. We will also discuss the consent forms and ensure you are a good fit for telehealth therapy.
One of my core strengths is striving to show up as my authentic self — both in life and in the therapy session. I’m not afraid to acknowledge when I’ve misunderstood something or gotten something wrong. I believe repair builds trust, and modeling honesty helps clients feel safe being honest, too. I use supportive therapy, CBT, and brief solution-focused therapy to meet clients at whatever point they are on their journey. Whether someone needs space to process, tools to manage symptoms, or clarity to move forward, I adapt my approach to fit their needs rather than expecting them to fit a rigid structure. I prioritize creating a space where clients feel seen, respected, and in control of their pace. My work is grounded in understanding each person’s lived experience and honoring their autonomy throughout the therapeutic process. Clients often self-report a noticeable decrease in symptoms — including anxiety and depression — after several individual therapy sessions. I focus on building practical skills, strengthening emotional insight, and supporting clients as they make meaningful, sustainable changes in their lives. Accountability is important for both the therapist and the client.
My ideal clients are adults who are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or stuck in patterns they’re ready to change. Many are navigating depression, anxiety, mood instability, chronic stress, or the lingering impact of difficult life experiences. They may be high functioning but exhausted, carrying more than they let others see, or unsure how to break out of cycles that no longer serve them. I work best with individuals who value honesty, collaboration, and a therapeutic relationship built on authenticity. My ideal clients appreciate a space where they can show up exactly as they are — without pressure, judgment, or expectations — and where their pace and lived experiences are respected. They’re open to exploring their thoughts and emotions, learning new coping skills, and making meaningful shifts in how they respond to life’s challenges. Whether someone needs support processing their experiences, wants practical tools to manage symptoms, or is seeking clarity and direction, I meet them where they are using supportive therapy, CBT, and solution-focused strategies. Many of my clients begin to notice a decrease in symptoms after several sessions, along with a growing sense of confidence, stability, and connection to themselves. My ideal clients are not expected to have everything figured out — they need a willingness to show up, be curious, and take the next step toward healing.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-focused therapy helps you identify your strengths, clarify your goals, and build on what’s already working. Instead of dwelling solely on problems, we focus on small, achievable steps that move you toward the life you want. This approach is especially helpful when you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed and need a clear, forward-moving path.
Trauma Informed Care
I take a trauma-informed approach to therapy, which means I focus on creating a safe, supportive environment and honoring each client’s lived experiences. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, with an emphasis on choice, collaboration, and building skills that support healing and long-term well-being.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT helps you identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to depression, anxiety, stress, and mood instability. Together, we explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop practical tools you can use in daily life. CBT is structured, collaborative, and effective for creating meaningful, lasting change.
Supportive
I use supportive therapy to create a safe, grounding space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without judgment. This approach focuses on emotional validation, strengthening existing coping skills, and helping you feel understood and supported. It provides the foundation for deeper work and ensures you can move at a pace that feels comfortable and safe.
