Hello, my name is Patricia, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia. With over 40 years of experience, I've worked with adults aged 18-85 in various settings, including outpatient behavioral health, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, community-based residential programs, and now, online services. In our first session, we'll start with introductions, review your history, and discuss current challenges. This helps us set goals for future sessions. Knowing your life goals helps us find the steps to get there! Remember telehealth etiquette: choose a private, quiet location, be comfortable but dressed appropriately (no nightgowns, etc). Be aware of potential online connection issues (power outages, Wi-Fi connection issues). I'll notify you of any interruptions through the chat portal. Please do the same if you're running late, have an emergency, or need to cancel, notifying me through the chat portal. There are fees for no-shows. My experience is with people aged 18-85 years old. For clients outside of this age range, I offer referrals to therapists with specialized experience.
As a therapist who believes in the power of prayer, I focus on overall wellness, which is about achieving balance! My goal is to help you find balance in seven key areas: social, intellectual, occupational, spiritual, physical, emotional, and environmental. I find that many people live out of balance by focusing on one area over the others. I believe seeking balance in these seven areas leads to a more fulfilling life.
My focus is to assist those who desire to develop healthier coping mechanisms, enhance relationship skills, reduce stress and anxiety, manage intense emotions, and to recognize and overcome negative thought patterns. I believe in working together in a collaborative, goal-oriented communication style. Change talk increases motivation, which will assist you in moving toward action! Since our time is limited, I will provide resources to read and keep for future use. Knowledge and skill development go hand in hand!

I really like Patricia! She is a perfect fit for me. I like that she seems to legitimately want to help me help myself to heal and be free from the restraints fear, trauma and anxiety have had on me for so long. She is very easy to talk to and she doesnt judge. She is amazing. Highly recommend her!!!!
