New to Grow
If you’ve been carrying more than you let others see, trying to “push through,” you’re not alone. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsure where to even begin. You may feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or weighed down by emotions that are hard to name or understand. In therapy with me, we’ll gently begin to make sense of what you’ve been holding. Together, we’ll identify the beliefs and patterns that keep you feeling stuck and begin building new ones that feel more supportive, empowering, and aligned with who you are. As a therapist specializing in anxiety, grief, and trauma, I help you slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to explore, heal, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.
It’s completely normal to feel nervous during the first session, especially if this is your first time in therapy or if you’re unsure what to expect. Taking that first step can feel vulnerable, and I strive to meet you with warmth, understanding, and respect from the very beginning. During our first session, we’ll spend about an hour getting to know each other. I’ll invite you to share what’s been weighing on you, your current concerns, and what led you to seek support at this time. We’ll also explore what you hope to gain from therapy, whether that’s relief from anxiety, healing from past experiences, or simply a better understanding of yourself. Together, we’ll begin identifying meaningful goals and talk about how we can track your progress in a way that feels helpful and encouraging. I’ll also walk you through what therapy with me might look like moving forward, so you have a clear sense of the process. My hope is to make this first session feel supportive, collaborative, and grounded in your needs.
My greatest strengths lie in creating a warm, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. Using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I help you gently process past experiences so they no longer hold the same weight in your present life. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we work together to identify unhelpful thought patterns and build practical tools that empower you to navigate challenges with greater clarity and confidence. I also draw from an interpersonal approach, focusing on your relationships and the ways you connect with others, helping you strengthen communication, boundaries, and emotional awareness. My goal is to meet you where you are, honoring your unique story while supporting meaningful, lasting change. Together, we create a space where healing feels possible, growth feels attainable, and you can move forward with greater self-understanding, resilience, and hope.
My ideal client is someone who has been carrying emotional wounds—whether from anxiety, trauma, painful memories, or ongoing stress—and is ready to begin healing in a grounded, structured, and evidence‑based way. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or frustrated that traditional coping strategies are no longer enough. I work best with adults who want to understand what’s happening beneath the surface and are open to the transformative work that EMDR can offer. My ideal client is motivated for change, even if they feel unsure where to start, and is seeking a therapist who combines clinical expertise with compassion and clarity.
EMDR
I am an EMDR-certified therapist specializing in helping clients process and heal from trauma, anxiety, and distressing life experiences. Using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I support individuals in reducing emotional reactivity and building healthier, more adaptive beliefs about themselves. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs, creating a safe space for meaningful and lasting healing.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that helps clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. Through CBT, I work collaboratively with individuals to build practical coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier perspectives. My goal is to empower clients with tools they can use in everyday life to create lasting, positive change.
Interpersonal
I specialize in Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), a structured, evidence-based approach that focuses on improving relationships and communication patterns. I help clients explore how their interactions and life transitions impact their emotional well-being, while building skills to navigate conflict, grief, and role changes more effectively. My approach is supportive and collaborative, creating a space where clients can strengthen connections and foster healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
