Welcome! I’m Tamika of Life in Bloom. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Wedding Officiant. I’m here to help you navigate life's stressful relationships. In our talks, I refer to those stressors as “thorns.” Why thorns, you ask? Great question! Because even the most beautiful roses have some uncomfortable pieces. That doesn’t make them any less beautiful, valuable, or appreciated. I have been commissioned to help couples, families, friends, and any other relationship dynamic find their communication style, boundaries, and build trust. It is truly my joy and my personal life’s work.
Therapy isn’t what we have traditionally seen on television or in film. It is so much more than sitting on a big, comfy couch, sharing your innermost thoughts/feelings. Therapy is beautiful and transformative - and can take work. Don’t worry! I am here to help you every step of the way. Life and all the hats you wear from day to day can be challenging. I encourage and empower you to unlock the power you have inside of you. I promise you it’s there! I also help you reflect on how far you have come in order to celebrate your victories with you - big or small. Kudos to you for seeking help! You are in a safe space. I look forward to working with you and watching you bloom.
With over 15 years of experience as a therapist, I believe in meeting clients exactly where they are. Together, we work toward where they want to be—at a pace that feels safe and empowering.
Many people carry perspectives placed upon them by others—labels, expectations, and narratives that have been accepted, owned, and internalized over time. My work centers on helping clients gently unpack those inherited beliefs and rediscover who they truly are beneath them. I support individuals in becoming familiar with themselves—not the version shaped by others’ perceptions, but the authentic self that exists beyond external definitions.

When it comes to life and navigating the complexities such as depression, anxiety, stress, especially when they stem from personal relationships or family dynamics, it can feel isolating and overwhelming. As a licensed professional with a deep understanding of these challenges, I'm here to offer a supportive and understanding environment where your feelings are validated and addressed with care. I am a board-certified clinical psychologist who helps people understand what’s actually driving what they’re experiencing and, what to do about it. My background includes working within a large, complex healthcare system, where I have supported individuals across a wide range of concerns, from anxiety and depression to trauma and more complex mental health conditions. That experience allows me to work comfortably with both straightforward and more layered challenges.
Clients often come to me feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or repeating patterns they can’t quite make sense of. One of the first things I focus on is helping you see the full picture clearly. I place a strong emphasis on education and insight, not in a clinical or overwhelming way, but in a way that helps things finally click.
My approach is both structured and collaborative. I will listen closely, but I’m also actively thinking with you, identifying patterns, offering perspective, and helping you connect experiences in a way that leads to meaningful change.
My name is Silke and I have lived in Georgia for almost 14 years now. I was born and raised in Austria. I started my career in the mental health field in my early twenties working in a mental health hospital in the department for Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy for 8 years before I transitioned to an outpatient setting before I took on a position as a mental health therapist in a counseling center.

I'm skilled in techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Crisis Interventions, Psycho-education and Coping skills. However, my theoretical orientation is Person Centered therapy. In our work together, I use a person-centered approach. That means I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. I’ll focus on understanding your perspective, being genuine in our conversations, and accepting you as you are. You're in the driver’s seat here, and I am here to walk alongside you.
When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves. - Viktor E. Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning.
