Hello, My name is Alicia "Cheriee" Fant. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Winder, Georgia. I specialize in Trauma, Grief, Family and Marriage issues, Anxiety, Depression, and Addiction. I work with clients of all ages starting at 15 years old. I am Certified in Strategic Trauma and Abuse Recovery and level 1 Gottman Therapy. I am also a Certified Anger Management Specialist level 2. I hold a Master's degree in Family and Marriage Therapy. I utilize an integrative approach to therapy with a Psychodynamic skillset. I am very passionate about my profession and helping others get free from strongholds in their life.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The goal of my initial session with you is to get to know you and began to build a good rapport with you. I also want to give you the opportunity to see if you feel like I am a good fit for you as well as give myself the opportunity to see If I feel like I am going to be the best fit to meet your needs. Also we will discuss the plan of treatment and talk about any fears, concerns, and doubts that you may have about the treatment process.

I love to talk to people. I am very outgoing and I have a very bubbly personality. I understand that everything makes sense in context. I am very honest and non judgmental. I am very aware of cultural differences as I have had my own experience in mixed cultures. I love helping people. My career is not just a career for me it is a true passion that I love to take part in everyday.

I am most passionate about working with clients who have a goal of getting free from past traumas. I have found that most behaviors such as anxiety and depression, are birthed out of survival responses due to past trauma. I am always ready to help clients who are willing to put in the effort in breaking free from strongholds in their life.

This approach works heavily in dealing with past experiences and traumas, especially from childhood and unconscious thoughts and feelings that affect your feelings, emotions, and behaviors today.
