I'm Melanie Rosario, a licensed marriage and family therapist and co-owner of Loving Life Today. I focus on the relationship you have with yourself and others to facilitate growth, healing, and happiness. My specialties include navigating life transitions, postpartum challenges, women’s issues, depression, and trauma. Through traditional psychotherapy and innovative modalities, I guide clients in overcoming emotional complexities, fostering healthier relationships, and cultivating a more fulfilling life.
I would describe myself as a goofy and radically empathetic therapist that struggles with severe ADHD and also anxiety. Not to mention the grief! I am big on being vulnerable myself. We must lead by example. I also am a strong believer in the power of connection. If you cannot connect with your therapist, research says that therapy is not likely to be effective. I prioritize the therapeutic relationship above all else. That is my foundation. That means I pride myself on not being a robot. I cannot believe I have to say this, but many students in therapy have told me that they have had robotic therapist. That is not me. I believe the most powerful therapeutic techniques are empathy and unconditional love, and those are the values I do my best to display consistently.
I currently provide individual counseling to students at Miami Dade College and I have found that I really enjoy working with college students that recently graduated from high school. I find that the world treats them cruelly at such an overwhelming time of their lives and they deserve unconditional love, not tough love.
I love the potential benefits therapy can yield. Therapy is about discovery and healing. I have a decade of experience working with counseling services. I am a first generation American, the daughter of Jamaican immigrants and love helping persons navigate their therapeutic goals as historically receiving mental health services is stigmatized. I also love working with adult women and men who are looking to find healing from past trauma. I am here for your therapeutic journey towards healing.
I’m a licensed mental health counselor with a background in healthcare, and I’m passionate about helping
people feel stronger, more confident, and more at peace with themselves. I primarily work with individuals
navigating depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and life transitions, especially women who are adjusting to
new phases or challenges in life.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working in the healthcare field. This experience deepened
my understanding of how physical and emotional well-being are connected and gave me a holistic view of
the challenges my clients face. My goal is to help you move forward in a healthy, balanced, and fulfilling way
so you can become the best version of yourself.
What effect do you hope that therapy will have on your life? Are you looking for someone to support you in difficult times? Is it your goal to thrive, rather than just survive? Perhaps you want to explore past events and see how they might be affecting your present.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who has over 14 years of experience working with adolescents and adults seeking help with traumatic experiences(childhood trauma, abuse, neglect,or any intense event or situation that caused emotional distress), occupational stress, life transitioning, daily stressors, anxiety, depression, relationships, grief and loss, self-esteem,sleep disturbance, anger management, and more.
I provide a warm, empathetic, nonjudgmental and safe environment where my clients can be open and their authentic self. I do not use a cookie-cutter approach for treating clients as each session is tailored to meet the needs of the client. I have successfully assisted clients with gaining insight, finding inner strength, and developing strategies necessary to make a change in your life.
I'd first like to recognize the strength it has taken to reach this stage in your growth and healing. Seeking assistance can often be an overwhelming task, but you're on the right path! I have had the privilege of accompanying people on their path towards "something better" for roughly ten years, of which the last four have been spent as an independently practicing Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am relaxed, direct, and I strive to make every moment within our work together as productive as possible. I'm accessible and easygoing. I also happen to think that I'm pretty funny, so at least I have that going for me!
I approach therapy with the belief that healing and growth are always possible. Change is a natural part of life, and I view counseling as a supportive space where individuals and couples can explore challenges, strengthen resilience, and move toward greater well-being. My work is grounded in compassion, empathy, and respect, creating a safe environment where clients feel seen, heard, and understood.
I was born in Cuba and moved to the United States with my family at a young age. Growing up in Central Florida, I became deeply curious about people, relationships, and the ways we navigate life’s struggles. That early curiosity developed into a calling to support others through their own journeys of healing and growth. Today, I work with both individuals and couples, helping them process trauma, improve communication, manage anxiety, and cultivate stronger, healthier connections.
Fluent in English, Spanish, (and Spanglish), I enjoy providing therapy in whichever language feels most comfortable for my clients. My cultural background and bilingual skills allow me to offer a more inclusive and culturally sensitive counseling experience, something I believe is essential in building trust and fostering healing.
In my practice, I integrate evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and the Gottman Method, tailoring treatment to meet each client’s unique needs. I also bring a person-centered philosophy, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and collaboration as core elements of the therapeutic process.
Outside of my professional life, I value balance and joy. I enjoy barbell strength training, which reminds me of the importance of persistence and self-care. I also love singing with my husband and spending meaningful time with family and friends. These personal joys keep me grounded and inspire the work I do with clients every day.
