Are painful memories from your past causing feelings of sadness or a sense of emptiness? Do you ever feel as if you're repeating the same unhealthy habits but aren't sure why? Or are you struggling to find healthy ways to cope? Together, we can talk about what's been bothering you and discuss ways to navigate your challenges in a healthier way. Hello, my name is Fashen (pronounced Fashion), and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida and Virginia. With 8 years of experience in the mental health field, my focus is on supporting adults who are navigating the lasting effects of childhood emotional wounds and the challenges that can arise from growing up in dysfunctional environments. Many of my clients have experienced significant emotional pain from their upbringing, which might have included addiction, domestic violence, emotional neglect or abuse, poor boundaries, anger, and hostility. These early life experiences often lead to struggles with depression, low self-esteem, codependence, people-pleasing tendencies, and interpersonal conflict. My goal is to help you revisit your past, understand how those experiences are affecting your present life, and work toward healing. In addition to my work with childhood emotional wounds, I also provide specialized support for women who have experienced a terminated pregnancy. If you are grieving or processing emotions related to this experience, I offer a non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings of grief, emotional pain, and healing. I look forward to walking with you on your journey toward healing, self-discovery, and emotional well-being.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In therapy, we will explore the thinking patterns and behaviors that may be causing you distress today, allowing us to identify the roots of these issues and develop healthier coping strategies. Through a collaborative approach, we will work together to help you uncover the habits, thoughts, and feelings that are keeping you from living your authentic life. I am committed to creating a safe, compassionate space where we can explore your concerns and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Choosing the right therapist is very important. It’s sort of like trying on different pairs of shoes until you find the right fit. So, explore your options to ensure that your therapist align with your needs and treatment goals. As a therapist, I believe my greatest strength is creating a non-judgmental environment where clients are allowed to be vulnerable, presenting their authentic selves. Also, I am patient, open-minded, empathetic and understanding.
