I am focused on changing the stigma associated with mental health, while developing trust, collaboration, and commitment to my clients, with special emphasis on no individual or group is overlooked or forgotten. My goal is to help clients be honest, transparent, and kind to themselves as one takes steps towards change. Mental Health is an emerging topic across various disciplines due to its ability to impact people across all walks of life. We must preserve our mental health and continue to make this a priority. Here, we understand that some of us struggle quietly. We are here to provide support and provide a safe and open space to talk. After personally dealing with a grief, and various life transitions I decided to re-enter this field and pursue my true passion of helping others. Through professional experience in diverse areas such as crisis stabilization, homelessness, disability, and education roles, I have established an eclectic style of counseling that is authentic and flexible. I have experience with teens, adults, and couples. I strive to encourage change by acknowledging the simple wins and overcome obstacles that arise.

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who graduated in 2006 with my Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Florida International University, and in 2013, I received my Master’s degree, with honors, in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I am honored to be a National Certified Counselor and Subject Matter Expert for the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination, a recognition bestowed by the National Board for Certified Counselors. I serve as a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors Job Analysis Task Force and the American Counseling Association Governance and Board Operations Committee. In 2023, my dedication to the field was further acknowledged with the Healthcare Champion Emerging Leader Award by the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. I am also a certified Level II TEAM-CBT Therapist specializing in relationships, habits, addictions, and eating disorders. At a very young age, 3 years old, I began my artistic career dancing ballet. I danced with Miami City Ballet and graduated as a professional dancer from Ballet Concerto in 2003. By the time I became an adolescent I had participated in music videos with Gloria Estefan, danced with numerous known artists including Jon Secada, performed for the Cristina Saralegui Show and modeled the runways. Additionally, I was the Entertainment Reporter for the television show “Paparazzi TV,” aired on MegaTV, and the co-host alongside her prestigious mother, Dra. Vivian Gonzalez-Diaz, of the show “Catarsis con la Dra Vivian” for whom both currently have a podcast named “Esto es una Catarsis”. I'm a huge advocate for children and women with fertility problems. I'm also a Guardian Angel of the Holtz Children’s Hospital of Jackson Health Foundation and participate in numerous community events. I'm dedicated to my profession and passion for the industry.

I have been working in the social work field in different areas for twenty years. I have dedicated most of my career to working with children and families. During my time working with families I conducted weekly parenting group sessions using a fifteen week evidence based program. At the beginning of my career, I was employed at Florida International University through a grant funded program that lasted three years serving clients that experienced domestic violence. I have been employed in Miami Dade County public schools for seventeen years. In the school system I worked for three years conducting HIV and STD education for students in an at risk high school, worked for nine years as a school counselor and currently, I provide services families with special needs. I have been employed part-time at a psychiatric hospital for eight years, conducting group sessions, baker acts, individual sessions, family meetings and completing treatment plans.
