Therapy isn’t about “just getting over it.” It’s about making sense of your experiences and learning how to move forward in a way that feels right for you. If you’re ready to start, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
I am happy you are considering a more satisfying way of life. Believe me, it is my pleasure to help you do that. In addition, along the way we will practice guided meditation and visualization with progressive muscle relaxation as a means to facilitate improved focus and mindfulness.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent two decades teaching and coaching young adults, which means I am fluent in motivation, humor (sometimes sarcasm), and the art of redirecting chaos into purpose. This makes me particularly tuned in to working with veterans, teens/young adults, neurodivergent powerhouses and anyone who is looking for a unique version of therapy. Hello, and welcome! My name is Christy Liger, and I am a Florida native of Haitian heritage and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic services. My background and experiences have shaped my appreciation for the importance of culture, family, and each person’s unique life journey. I believe that seeking support is a courageous step, and I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered.
I have experience working with individuals navigating mood and emotional concerns, trauma, attention-related challenges, health-related challenges, and significant life transitions. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, adjusting to a new season of life, or simply trying to better understand yourself and figure out what you want next, you don’t have to have all the answers before starting therapy.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I’ll meet you where you are, and together we’ll explore what’s going on, identify what matters most to you, and develop practical tools that you can actually use in your everyday life. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, so we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you while helping you gain greater self-awareness, build confidence, develop healthier ways of coping, and feel more prepared for whatever comes next.
I believe healing begins with understanding. Many of the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that bring people to therapy are not signs of weakness or failure—they are often adaptations that developed in response to difficult experiences, stress, or adversity. While these patterns may have helped you cope or protect yourself at one point in your life, they can sometimes create challenges in relationships, work, and overall well-being.
My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and collaborative. I strive to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to explore their experiences without judgment. Together, we will work to understand not only what is happening in your life, but also why certain patterns may have developed and whether they continue to serve you today.
Earlier experiences in my own life taught me that adversity can shape the way we view ourselves, others, and the world around us. Through these experiences, I developed a deep appreciation for how the mind and nervous system adapt to help us navigate challenges. The mind is designed to prioritize safety and survival, and many of the symptoms people experience are understandable responses to difficult circumstances rather than character flaws. While these adaptations may have been necessary at one point, healing often involves learning new ways of responding that better support the life you want to build.
I work with individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, and self-esteem concerns. My goal is to help clients increase self-awareness, build resilience, strengthen boundaries, and develop practical tools for lasting change. Together, we can help you better understand yourself, reconnect with your strengths, and move forward with greater confidence, flexibility, and self-compassion.

Hi there! I'm Dorian.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida - a Jax native with a recent move south to the Space Coast. I received my Masters of Social Work from Florida State University in 2014 focusing on clinical social work.
I approach therapy with flexibility and adaptability, focusing on what will best align with you, the client. But, of note, I do so very casually, honestly, conversationally, and course, hilariously (the latter, though subjective, has been confirmed. By me.) . Opening yourself up to therapy can be intimidating! A bit scary! But there's no requirement stating you must dread it.
Through my views on mental health, self help, and all kinds of therapy - combined with, well, my personality - it seems that I've become adept at a sort of "stealth therapy." Admittedly self-defined, I'd best explain this by saying that sessions are conversational, instead of a "traditional" therapist-role to client-role back and forth.
Just kidding. But, I approach therapy in a way I . I don't speak in riddles, and I won't pretend that I know you better than you know you. I listen, I hear your words -- your input has value and I will never dismiss you or your concerns.
