I’m Michael Heckendorn, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and a National Certified Counselor. I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and new fathers. Many of the young adults I work with are trying to understand who they are, what they want to do with their lives, or how to manage the expectations and uncertainty that come with adulthood. I also support new fathers navigating the major adjustments of parenthood, including changes in identity, relationships, priorities, and emotional well-being. My goal is to provide a space where you can feel understood while gaining greater clarity and direction.
With over a decade of experience as a counselor in the public school system, I specialize in helping adolescents and their families navigate anxiety, depression, and the complexities of school-age social dynamics. I understand the unique pressures today’s students face, and I am passionate about partnering with parents to foster resilience and clear communication at home. Beyond my work with students, I hold a deep commitment to women’s wellness. I provide a confidential, faith-based space for those navigating the pain of divorce or seeking emotional restoration through pregnancy loss.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been providing mental health services since 2013. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of New England and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Wyoming.
Throughout my career, I've worked with individuals who have experienced trauma, and I'm passionate about helping people reconnect with themselves and their strength. I also work closely with parents to build more structure and consistency in their homes, while supporting their own mental health growth.
I started out working in the homes and communities of my clients through an intensive program, working with the families of children who were at risk for out of home placement, such as residential treatment or psychiatric hospitalization. This program was a 6 month therapeutic intervention, helping parents to better understand their children's needs, as well as helping children develop regulatory skills to help them be more successful, in their homes and communities.
I provide virtual outpatient therapy to Colorado residents, working with individuals aged 15 and up who are struggling with daily functioning and searching for their true, authentic selves.
My approach blends evidence-based methods, tailored to support you through distress and toward healing. I believe in meeting you exactly where you are, without judgment, and building a path forward together at a pace that feels right for you.
I am an LCSW who offers telehealth therapy for teens and adults. I help people who are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship stress, identity questions, and big life changes. My previous experience included work with children and adults with Autism and ADHD, inpatient counseling, military life, aging, grief, caregiving, LGBTQ+, and parenting. My goal is to empower you with the skills you need to move forward in life and to work through past events that hold you back.
I am a bi-lingual and bi-cultural Licensed Certified Social Worker who received her Masters in Social Work from Boston College. I provide effective, transformative, and lasting life changes in children, adults, and families. I've worked with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, stress disorders, adjustment, relationship challenges, trauma, and mood disorders. I am passionate about providing a counseling environment that encourages respect, safety, trust, and honesty while tailoring each session to the clients' need.

I am a licensed professional clinical counselor dedicated to promoting healing and growth through a personalized, multidisciplinary approach. Understanding that each individual is unique, I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet the specific needs of my clients, recognizing that what works for one may not apply to all. I place a strong emphasis on building a trusting rapport and establishing a collaborative therapeutic alliance, where we work together to create lasting change. I firmly believe that every person has the potential to shape and develop the life they envision, and my role is to guide and support them in this process.
My name is Bonnie. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I've worked with a variety of clients in a variety of situations both inpatient and outpatient. I'm a good listener and believe that most people know themselves better than anyone else. My job is to allow clients to explore all of their options in a safe, comfortable environment. I accept people where they are, not where others think they should be.
I was born and raised in North Texas, where I studied Social Work at a bachelors and masters level. I started working in the mental health space in 2022, and had had the privilege of serving my community in a wide variety of roles before I eventually became a therapist. My passion for this work is constantly reaffirmed by having countless experiences with clients who demonstrate their ability to address and overcome life stressors, distressing, or traumatic experiences to begin their journey towards fulfillment.
I specialize in treating clients who struggle with suicidal ideation, thoughts of self harm, clients experiencing depression, and clients who have experienced trauma. I work with adults aged 18-72.

Hi there! I’m Stephanie! I’m passionate about creating a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, sharing what they’re experiencing, and working toward meaningful change.
I primarily work with teens and young adults who are navigating anxiety, academic stress, sports performance, peer relationships, family dynamics, self-esteem, motivation, and the many transitions that come with growing into adulthood. I believe therapy should feel collaborative and personalized; not like a one-size-fits-all approach.
My goal is to meet each client where they are while helping them better understand themselves, build confidence, develop practical coping skills, and feel more capable of handling life’s challenges. I use a combination of CBT, solution-focused, person-centered, and motivational interviewing approaches based on each client’s unique needs and goals.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for something to change, you don’t have to figure it all out alone. I’m here to help you take that next step.
Hi, and welcome to First Step Therapy. I understand how hard it can be to take that first step toward healing and you don’t have to do it alone. I offer compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for adults dealing with anxiety, past experiences, and life challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs, drawing from evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, and attachment theory. I’m here to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood. Together, we’ll work toward healing and meaningful personal growth.
I am a mindful, somatic therapist. We can: navigate life's challenges with more balance, benefit from accessing more resources. We explore your "just right" healing in the moment. Two of the most important elements are goodness-of-fit and your readiness to heal and grow. I received my license in 2013 and have treated folks from the ages of 20 - 103 years. Welcome to you: upgraded with more peace and confidence!
I am a compassionate, open-minded therapist with six years of clinical experience in Texas and recent practice in Colorado. I specialize in supporting adults through anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges, using a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I provide culturally sensitive, LGBTQIA‑affirming care and strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients are met where they are. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, focused on practical strategies and meaningful progress.
I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Colorado, Texas, Nevada, Iowa, and Hawaii and Washington.
I view therapy as a partnership focused on healing, self-discovery, and empowerment. I work with a wide range of adults seeking relief from anxiety, depression, trauma, or stress-related concerns, and I tailor my approach to each person’s unique story. My goal is to help you strengthen your sense of self, improve relationships, and develop practical tools to live with greater peace and authenticity.

Life can be difficult, but you don't have to walk your path alone. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor ready to help you reach your full potential as you become even healthier mentally. As I use research-based techniques and strategies to address concerns, I work to help you manage and rectify issues. My greatest gratification is to assist others in excelling and reaching life goals and becoming mentally healthy. I am ready to help you walk on your journey and mental health success with this in mind.
I want to see you become healthier and whole. My goal is to listen and assist you as you transform your mental health. Today is your day. Let me help you get on your way!
Before I worked as a counselor I worked as a technical writer and software tester, and then as a caseworker in social services. I have also been a studio engineer with much work in audio and video editing and got to spend a year on the film festival circuit for a documentary I made about being an independent musician. All of those experiences I feel are helpful in working with clients from different backgrounds and perhaps in understanding that most of us want to find something meaningful in this life and often feel that we still don't know what our real calling.
I'm Melixa Carbonell, a licensed therapist and the founder of A Different Lens Counseling. I hold licenses in Florida (LMHC) and Colorado (LPC), and I'm a National Certified Counselor and an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider. I see adults by video for ADHD and anxiety, and much of my work is with women and healthcare professionals. I also have ADHD and work in healthcare myself, so I bring both training and firsthand understanding. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming and open to everyone.
My work as a therapist has given me the privilege of supporting people from many different backgrounds, cultures, and walks of life. Through these experiences, I've come to appreciate that while our stories are unique, many of us share similar struggles: wanting to feel connected, understood, accepted, and at peace within ourselves. I view therapy as a collaborative process rooted in curiosity, self compassion, and growth. Whether you're navigating a difficult chapter or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I aim to provide a space where healing, insight, and meaningful change can emerge.
I am a mental health therapist dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the stressors that come with everyday responsibilities. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, collaborative space where you can show up exactly as you are — without judgment. My approach is warm, supportive, and grounded in helping you build practical tools you can use in your daily life.
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that helps identify how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we work to recognize unhelpful thought patterns, build healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful, sustainable change. I also understand that therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I tailor treatment to each person’s unique experiences, needs, and goals.
As a first-generation Latina, I have a deep appreciation for how culture, family expectations, and lived experiences shape how we see ourselves and move through the world. I strive to create a space where cultural identity is respected and understood, and where clients can openly explore how these influences impact their mental health and relationships.
My goal is to help you feel empowered, supported, and equipped with tools that help you move toward the life you want. Seeking therapy can feel like a big step, and I am honored to be part of that journey with you.
Please note that I do not provide treatment for eating disorders, substance use disorders (including alcohol), or any court-mandated cases.
Please note that I do not fill out FMLA paperwork, ESA paperwork, or any other legal documents unless 6 months of consistent therapy has been received. There is a separate fee for paperwork outside of the copay.
I am a licensed mental health counselor and military veteran. My practice focuses on supporting adults navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, organizational stress, organizational betrayal, and high-stress occupational experiences. I work with veterans, first responders, public safety professionals, healthcare professionals, and individuals seeking practical, collaborative, and trauma-informed care.
My approach is direct at times, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based treatment, including CBT, DBT skills, EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, and strength-based therapy. I help clients better understand their experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, and move toward healing, resilience, and meaningful change.
You're exhausted, wondering if anyone is going to reach your teenage son with ADHD. I was that kid and found my way through.
Your son is struggling the same way I did. ADHD, too much homework, too little interest, too many people telling him to just try harder. I didn't get real support until the end of high school. Treatment changed the trajectory of my life.
I went from community college to the University of Florida, then to a Master of Social Work from Florida State. My bachelor's was in Education Sciences with a specialization in Educational Psychology, which means I understand how ADHD plays out in a classroom, where so much of your son's pain probably lives. School is hard enough for these kids already, which is why I see clients in the evenings and on weekends. Therapy shouldn't add to what school is already taking from him.
Hi! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in Colorado and Texas. I received my Masters from the University of Texas - El Paso and have been practicing for over 15 years. I believe that every person has the capacity for resilience and change. Whether you're looking to overcome specific challenges or simply seeking support, I am here to help guide you on your journey toward a more fulfilling life.
Welcome! I'm Emily, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) with a passion for integrative healing and mental health. My journey in the mental health field began in 2015, and I have been dedicated to general healthcare since 2011. I believe in a holistic approach to well-being; integrating mind-body-spirit care into your treatment plan always. I truly enjoy helping clients see life in new and different ways. My favorite part of my job is witnessing your growth as a human on this crazy ride we call life!
I am the founder of a clinic named The Best Mental Health Practice of Southern Colorado for 2025. I know that we all go through unusually stressful times and need competent and accessible help. I have been providing trauma-informed psychotherapy before it was a buzzword and specialize in trauma-focused family services. I have experience as a research psychologist in Europe and a successful practitioner in the US working with adults who struggle with trauma symptoms, divorce/post-divorce adjustment issues, couples conflict, and parent-child challenges.

Hi, I’m a therapist who believes therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating or clinical to be effective. I help people sort through stress, self-doubt, relationship tension, and life transitions—with clarity, compassion, and a healthy dose of humor. My clients often tell me they chose me because I feel relatable and real, and because I’m not afraid to laugh with them even when things are tough.
I’m straightforward and down-to-earth. I’ll meet you where you are without judgment, help you challenge what’s keeping you stuck, and walk alongside you as you make sense of what’s working—and what isn’t. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. I believe in real conversations, real growth, and helping you feel like yourself again (or maybe for the first time).
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship struggles, or just trying to feel more grounded in your life, I’m here to help you reconnect with your strength, your clarity, and your sense of possibility.
You don’t have to be perfect or polished. Just bring yourself—we’ll take it from there.
I’m Will. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from The Ohio State University and my master’s in Clinical Psychology from University of Denver. I see therapy as a space where we can slow things down, sit with what’s really happening underneath the surface, and better understand the patterns, emotions, and protective responses shaping your experience. I’m here to help hold and explore feelings with you, not judge or push them away.
We can resist to acknowledge certain emotions because of a lot of things; shame, “shoulds,” self-judgment. beliefs we’ve absorbed from others. But mostly because its just becomes a reflex established in childhood that kept us safe. Feelings do not have to be objectively true or rational (the amygdala tends not to care about that) to deserve our attention and empathy . When we slow down enough to acknowledge and hold space for them, emotions can return to their original purpose: giving us information about our needs, wants, boundaries, and experiences instead of quietly driving behaviors underneath our awareness.
I won’t lie — this work can feel challenging and even awkward at first. Most of us were never taught how to truly sit with ourselves. But in my experience, this kind of work creates deeper and more lasting nervous system change than only relying on coping skills to manage emotions. Your emotions and feeling are who you are, when the are free to be expressed and acknowledged my clients find parts of themselves that were previously thought to be loss.

Hello I'm Adrian. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and work with individuals, couples, and families. Working from a systemic perspective, I look at how the whole system is interacting and functioning. I use a Narrative approach and Brainspotting. I am interested in the narratives or rules that we have picked up from our families of origin, relationships, and experiences. Often, these rules are helpful in the beginning and become a source of struggle down the road. Brainspotting is a trauma modality. More information can be found at brainspotting.com.

My name is Susanne Neal, and I understand how life experiences and transitions can shape the way we see ourselves and move through the world. I work collaboratively with clients to explore patterns and coping strategies developed earlier in life that may no longer be serving them. Together, we identify meaningful goals, build insight, and develop healthier ways to manage challenges and create lasting change.
I am a Colorado and South Carolina Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience working with: individuals in the midst of grief and other major phase-of-life transitions like divorce, job loss, legal challenges, etc.; teenagers who are struggling with a variety of mental health challenges; couples and families that are struggling to find common ground; and fractured families prior to, during, and after divorce. Building strong families, even through divorce or custody battles, incarceration, or other prolonged periods of estrangement, is a particular area of focus for me. I offer reintegration therapy services for parents and children who have experienced short- and long-term separation or alienation. I love working with families who want to find a way to function better post-divorce.
In addition, I spent a decade working for the Alzheimer's Association, which included counseling individuals and families who were facing a diagnosis of dementia.
Prior to venturing into the counseling field, I ran a non-profit that operated a 100-bed homeless shelter, a family transitional housing program, and an eight-unit supportive housing project for Veterans.
I have a heart for working with military veterans and their families -- having 22 years of service in the US Air Force myself. I served on Active Duty for 6 years, and after a break in service, completed another 16 years as a Reservist. My spouse served alongside me, with each of us deploying twice. Our son is currently serving as well. Therefore, I have been the deployed service member, the spouse left to manage things back home, and the mom watching her "baby" deploy to far-off places. There is almost no part of military service I do not understand through first-hand experience.

I am a compassionate and passionate therapist dedicated to creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and cared for. I provide empathy, active listening, reassurance, and comfort, helping clients feel grounded as they navigate life’s challenges. My practice is centered on the belief that healing begins with connection and that even small steps forward can lead to meaningful change.
My practice, “A Talk Today, A Change Tomorrow,” reflects my belief that it only takes a few intentional conversations to begin creating a brighter tomorrow. While change may not happen overnight, each session builds on the last bringing greater clarity, healing, and growth. Every talk is a step forward, moving clients closer to lasting change, one day at a time.
Hi! I am so happy that you have made the decision to take this time for yourself and your needs. I'm Caitlin, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Colorado and Florida. I began my practice career as a crisis clinician in Emergency Services serving populations from children & adolescents to the geriatric community; since then, I have moved on to private practice working with clients in Virginia, Florida, Missouri, and am currently living and practicing in Colorado!
Hi, I’m Angela. I understand that reaching out for support is often the hardest part of the journey, especially when you feel life is heavy or uncertain. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are, whether you are navigating the complexities of recovery, the weight of grief, or the shifting transitions of midlife. Since 2016, I have focused my career on supporting adults through the challenges of substance use, working across all levels of care, including detox, residential, and medication-assisted treatment.
As both a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Addiction Counselor, I have invested significant additional education and clinical hours specifically in the field of addiction. I believe it is important to work with a therapist who focuses on these patterns, as alcohol and substance use rarely exist in isolation. They are often intertwined with anxiety, codependency, trauma, and relationship stress. In our sessions, we will explore how these challenges impact one another and work toward your specific goals for change, whether that involves moderation or choosing abstinence.
I am also passionate about supporting women navigating the challenges of perimenopause and menopause. This stage of life frequently brings a surge of symptoms such as irritability, brain fog, and anxiety where you might find yourself drinking more than you intended just to get through the day. I offer a nonjudgmental space to address these symptoms, helping you develop healthier ways to cope so you can feel like yourself again.
My practice is built on a foundation of grace, respect, and the belief in the inherent dignity of every individual. I provide a supportive environment where we can work through the messiness together to build a life that aligns with your true values and goals.

My style is client‑centered, strengths‑based, and culturally sensitive, with a strong focus on fostering meaningful development and lasting change. I prefer conducting therapy through live video sessions, as it allows for connection, flexibility, and accessibility.

My approach is warm, direct, practical, and judgment-free, with a focus on helping you understand what keeps you stuck and build a life that actually feels like yours.

I honor the courage it takes to seek support, and I walk alongside you as you discover your capacity for growth, connection, and renewal.
