About me

I am an experienced clinician who will meet you where you are at with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach. I've been trained in multiple modalities that are evidence based to help you meet your goals. My lens in therapy is attachment and trauma based, though I also have training in therapies that can immediately help with emotional regulation and tolerating distress.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, we will complete an intake assessment, which gathers history and creates potential goals for therapy. You are free to state that you'd rather given an overview rather than details or any history that doesn't feel comfortable to disclose initially, as we will get there in your follow up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

In sessions with clients, I believe it is important to be genuine, non-judgemental and build trust through kindness and attunement. I provide psychoeducation around the nervous system and modailities of therapy so that you can choose which approaches fit best for you as we work together to reach your goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Ideally, I do my best work with clients who struggle with anxiety, relational trauma, PTSD and depression. I have a significant amount of experience with complex PTSD. I believe insight and a growth mindset allows clients to reach their goals most effectively. I also believe that clients who are open to holistic approaches are going to be a good fit in working with me since we are whole people and the mind and body are connected.

My treatment methods

Integrative

I use multiple approaches to help clients reach their goals. I find that skills based therapies to prepare for trauma informed care typically helps clients get to the root of their concerns. I am trained in ACT, DBT, EMDR, CBT, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and schema therapy. I tend to be humanistic and use a person centered approach.

EMDR

I use EMDR to help clients with a reduction in distress for a disturbing or traumatic event.

Attachment-based

I believe that relationships and how we interact socially depends on our early relationships and provide psychoeducation around this research.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help with unhelpful thinking patterns and coping skills interventions for core beliefs that may no longer be serving us.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT to help enhance emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness and interpersonal effectiveness.
