New to Grow
Life can feel overwhelming at times—whether you're facing anxiety, burnout, a major life transition, or simply feeling stuck. I specialize in working with adults who are navigating challenges related to stress, parenting, relationships, career shifts, and emotional well-being. With 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I offer a grounded, compassionate space to explore what’s going on beneath the surface and to help you reconnect with your sense of clarity and purpose. My approach is person-centered and goal-oriented. We’ll work together to identify what matters most to you, then use practical tools—often drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—to help you build insight, emotional resilience, and momentum toward change. Whether you're working through something specific or simply ready to invest in your growth, I’ll meet you where you are with warmth, respect, and real support.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space where we’ll begin getting to know each other. I’ll ask some questions to better understand what’s bringing you to therapy, your background, and what you’d like to get out of our work together. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—this is your time, and we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What makes me unique as a therapist is the depth and range of my experience, combined with my ability to connect with people in a warm, down-to-earth way. With over 20 years in the mental health field—including roles as a school counselor and early childhood mental health specialist—I bring a deep understanding of both individual and family systems. I’ve supported people through everything from daily stress to major life transitions, and I know how to tailor my approach to meet each person’s unique needs. My ability to balance empathy with practical strategies helps clients feel both supported and empowered to make real, lasting change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal client is someone who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for something to shift. They’re often navigating big life transitions—like parenthood, career changes, relationship shifts, or personal identity work—and may be experiencing anxiety, self-doubt, burnout, or sadness. Many of my clients are thoughtful and self-aware, but feel like they’ve hit a wall or lost connection with themselves and what they truly need. They might be new to therapy or returning after a break, and while they may feel uncertain at first, they’re open to reflection and curious about how things could be different. They’re not necessarily looking for a quick fix—they’re looking for meaningful change, tools that actually help, and a therapist who listens with empathy, asks the right questions, and helps turn insight into action. They want to feel heard, understood, and supported in a space that’s nonjudgmental and empowering.
Eclectic
I’m an eclectic therapist, which means I tailor my approach based on your unique needs and goals. I draw from a variety of evidence-based practices—including DBT, Mindfulness Based CBT, person-centered, and relational techniques—to find what works best for you.
Relational
Forming a trusting relationship with my clients is my number one priority. I focus on empathy, compassion and warmth to build this environment where you will feel like coming to therapy is familiar and comfortable.
