New to Grow
I am a mental health therapist dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the stressors that come with everyday responsibilities. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, collaborative space where you can show up exactly as you are — without judgment. My approach is warm, supportive, and grounded in helping you build practical tools you can use in your daily life. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that helps identify how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we work to recognize unhelpful thought patterns, build healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful, sustainable change. I also understand that therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I tailor treatment to each person’s unique experiences, needs, and goals. As a first-generation Latina, I have a deep appreciation for how culture, family expectations, and lived experiences shape how we see ourselves and move through the world. I strive to create a space where cultural identity is respected and understood, and where clients can openly explore how these influences impact their mental health and relationships. My goal is to help you feel empowered, supported, and equipped with tools that help you move toward the life you want. Seeking therapy can feel like a big step, and I am honored to be part of that journey with you.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During your first session, you can expect a relaxed, supportive conversation focused on getting to know you. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what challenges you are currently facing, and what you hope to gain from the process. You are welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with — this is your space, and we will move at a pace that feels safe for you. We will also spend time exploring your goals for therapy. This might include reducing anxiety, improving mood, working through life transitions, strengthening relationships, or learning healthier coping strategies. Together, we will begin identifying what progress would look like for you and how therapy can support you in getting there. Part of the first session is also making sure that I am the right fit for you. Therapy works best when you feel comfortable, heard, and supported by your therapist. I encourage questions about my approach, therapy style, and what working together may look like moving forward. By the end of the session, we will typically have a clearer picture of your needs, initial goals, and next steps if you decide to continue. My goal is for you to leave feeling understood, supported, and hopeful about the work we can do together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the balance between evidence-based treatment and genuine human connection. I believe therapy should not only be effective, but also feel safe, supportive, and practical for real life. My goal is to help clients gain insight while also learning skills they can immediately apply outside of sessions. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on understanding how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. What makes my approach unique is how I adapt CBT to fit each client’s personality, culture, and lived experiences. I focus on helping clients recognize patterns that keep them feeling stuck, while also building tools that support long-term emotional wellness. I am also very solution-focused and goal-oriented. Many clients appreciate having clear direction, structure, and measurable progress in therapy. I work collaboratively with clients to set meaningful goals and regularly check in to make sure therapy continues to feel helpful and relevant. Another key part of my approach is cultural awareness and sensitivity. I understand that culture, family expectations, and life experiences play a major role in how people view mental health and relationships. I strive to create a space where clients feel fully seen and understood without needing to explain or minimize parts of their identity. Clients often report feeling validated, supported, and empowered. My goal is not just symptom relief, but helping clients build confidence, emotional resilience, and sustainable coping skills that support them long after therapy ends.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am best positioned to serve individuals who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the pressure of managing multiple roles and responsibilities. Many of my clients are balancing careers, parenting, relationships, or caregiving, and often feel like they are constantly “on” for others while neglecting their own needs. I work well with clients who are motivated for change but may feel stuck, burnt out, or unsure where to start. I particularly enjoy working with clients who want practical tools they can use in everyday life. If you are someone who wants to better understand your thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, build healthier coping skills, or strengthen boundaries, we would likely be a good fit. I support clients who are working through stress, self-doubt, relationship challenges, and major life adjustments such as career changes, family shifts, or personal growth milestones. As a first-generation Latina, I am especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating cultural expectations, family roles, and identity-related stress. I understand how cultural values, generational differences, and unspoken family pressures can impact mental health, relationships, and self-worth. I work best with clients who value a collaborative, supportive therapy environment and are open to reflection and skill-building. Whether your goal is to reduce anxiety, improve mood, build confidence, or simply feel more balanced in your daily life, my goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered as you move toward meaningful, lasting change.
