Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience. I’ve learned that while clinical tools are essential, they work best when delivered with warmth and empathy. I have a Master’s in Social Work from LSU (Geaux Tigers!). I spent the last eight years working extensively with the Veteran population. This experience deepened my expertise in trauma-focused, evidence-based care, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and many other protocols. I believe there is no one quite like you, so I keep my approach individualized to you, prioritizing our relationship as the foundation for growth. Whether you are navigating difficult life transitions or daily challenges, I am committed to a practical, solution-focused partnership that honors your unique story and helps you find your own rhythm.

My name is Miguel Lopez, a Hispanic male (He/Him/His) and U.S. Army combat veteran who brings a unique perspective to my work as a therapist. Fluent in Spanish and passionate about guiding people through life’s challenges, I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Walden University, a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University, and an Associate’s in Criminal Justice from Pikes Peak State College. With over a decade of experience as a caseworker, substance abuse counselor, and therapist, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse clients facing real-life struggles and in need of daily support. Life can be tough, and we all face difficult moments—whether it’s a breakup, divorce, grief, the loss of a loved one or pet, or even a job loss. In these times, having an unbiased person to offer support can make a world of difference. I see trauma as an unexpected part of life that is often hard to process, but with the right help, it can be managed and overcome healthily. I’ve personally experienced more than my share of trauma, grief, loss, sadness, depression, and substance use, and I sought help to work through them. My approach to therapy is centered on helping people in the best way possible, always with an open mind. I often use Maslow’s hierarchy of needs as a guide, because I believe mental health is hard to prioritize when physical needs aren’t met, or issues like homelessness or substance abuse are present. I enjoy working with clients from age 5 to older adults who face Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, and other mental health or substance use challenges. It’s easy to fight battles alone and suffer in silence, but you don’t have to anymore—together, we can work toward healing and a better future.

We’ll gently explore the pressures that are keeping you stuck, so you can begin to feel more grounded and yourself again. My approach is warm, discerning, and grounded in the belief that meaningful healing often requires care that honors the complexity of what you are carrying. As a former school counselor, I also understand the difficulties families face. Whether you are moving through loss, adjusting to motherhood, wrestling with faith, or trying to find your footing in a season of uncertainty, you do not have to navigate it without support. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado and the owner of Thrive Counseling & Wellness, a virtual private practice dedicated to helping individuals find healing, resilience, and renewed hope. For more than a decade, I have had the privilege of walking alongside people as they navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, chronic pain, and life's unexpected challenges. My passion for this work comes from a deep belief that every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. I know that many people carry invisible struggles while appearing to have everything together on the outside. Creating a space where clients feel safe enough to be authentic, vulnerable, and fully themselves is at the heart of my practice. I take a collaborative and compassionate approach to therapy, meeting each client where they are while helping them identify practical tools for lasting change. My work draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and EMDR, allowing me to tailor treatment to each individual's unique experiences and goals. I have a special passion for supporting individuals living with chronic illness, chronic pain, high-functioning anxiety, depression, and the emotional impact of medical trauma. I believe therapy is about more than reducing symptom; it is about helping people reconnect with themselves, build confidence, strengthen relationships, and create lives that feel meaningful and fulfilling. It is truly an honor to earn my clients' trust and to witness the courage, growth, and resilience they discover along the way.

I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. My role as a therapist is to provide a supportive, collaborative space where you can better understand yourself, navigate life's challenges, and move toward the life you want to create. I work with individual adults in Colorado and Hawaii who are experiencing life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship changes, infertility, career decisions, stress, or simply feeling stuck. Sometimes clients come to therapy because of a specific event, while others have a general sense that something isn't working anymore. Wherever you're starting, we'll work together to identify your strengths, understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools for lasting change. My approach combines evidence-based psychotherapy with a whole-person perspective. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, and person-centered counseling while tailoring each session to your individual needs and goals. I believe emotional wellness is influenced by every part of our lives, and therapy should honor the unique experiences, values, and strengths that each person brings into the room. Whether you're looking for support through a difficult season or seeking greater purpose, balance, and fulfillment, I strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered.

Now Accepting New Clients. Navigating through the journey of life we inevitably run into hindrances that challenge our momentum. Change is hard and can often be sudden and unpredictable, leaving us without the proper tools to cope with these changes. We have to learn to acclimate to our surroundings on our terms. Whether it's a traumatic response, addiction, grief and loss, anxiety, loss of confidence, feeling lost and overwhelmed, feelings of depression or stagnation, there's hope. It takes courage to look into a mirror and see who's looking back, it takes strength to want to make a change and hope to inspire change. My goal is to inspire Hope. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addictions Counselor in the state of Colorado. I received my Master's degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of Denver in 2017. After completing my Master’s Degree, I spent almost six years working with criminal justice involved clients - from substance abuse to domestic violence offenders. While I learned a lot doing that work, and it was extremely fulfilling to service victims and offenders, I decided to pursue working for myself within the private practice setting. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral techniques in my sessions, as well as being trained in Brainspotting for trauma specific treatment. I strongly believe in the connection between physical health and mental health, and do my best to focus on both aspects with the clients I see. I am a therapist that enjoys using client centered strategies to help clients better understand themselves and how they exist in the world around them. When I look at my journey through life, I have found that some of the greatest changes I have made were through conversations with others who helped me to see the world from a lens of choice. I have learned over the years that choice relates to actions, that in turn influence dynamics of empowerment and advocacy. Empowerment, advocacy, and perseverance are terms easy to grasp by definition, but much more difficult to follow through with in our day to day experiences. I believe that healing and growth really begin to set in when decisions are made to accept the current reality of ones life and then further commit to strategically apply necessary changes. Over time, I have noticed that therapy often can help people (myself included) gain a greater sense of self efficacy and self confidence, especially when we learn how powerful our thoughts and actions can be! In other words, it is ok if there are things happening in our day that we would rather not go through, however we also have a choice in how we respond in that day. I value the importance of a healthy and healing therapeutic relationship! I also value the process of exploring how trust and hope participate towards how we experience the world.

Hi, I’m Josh Burke, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy across, Colorado, New York and Vermont. I’ve spent over 12 years working with individuals navigating a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and major life transitions. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable. Because of that, I place a strong emphasis on building a genuine, trusting relationship from the start—one where you feel supported, understood, and able to be honest about what you’re going through. My approach is both relational and goal-oriented. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), which means we won’t just talk about what’s wrong—we’ll also focus on what matters to you and how to move toward it in practical, meaningful ways. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or navigating a significant transition, our work will center on helping you better understand your experience, develop new ways of responding to stress, and take steps toward the life you want to live. I tailor therapy to each person, recognizing that no two paths forward look the same. I believe change is possible—even when things feel difficult—and I aim to walk alongside you in a way that feels collaborative, grounded, and forward-moving.

I'm a Certified EMDR therapist and PMH-C clinician providing specialized trauma therapy in Arizona, Colorado, and Washington for first responders and individuals navigating perinatal mental health challenges, PTSD, and chronic stress. Many of my clients appear fine on the outside — capable, put-together, managing it all — while feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally stuck underneath. My practice focuses on treating PTSD, birth trauma, postpartum depression and anxiety, religious trauma, and occupational stress using EMDR and evidence-based, trauma-informed care. I understand how trauma and nervous system dysregulation can leave you feeling constantly on edge, emotionally reactive, or disconnected from yourself — whether that shows up through the demands of first responder work, the transition into parenthood, or experiences further back. Through EMDR, I help clients reduce triggers, process unresolved trauma, regulate their nervous system, and experience deep, lasting healing — so you can feel stable, confident, and like yourself again.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by life’s challenges? Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, substance use, trauma, relationship issues, or the stress of everyday life, you do not have to go through it alone. My name is Michael, and I am a licensed therapist with over a decade of experience helping people from all walks of life find clarity, healing, and growth. I have worked extensively with individuals facing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance use and recovery, childhood and relational trauma, men’s issues, self worth, identity struggles, and relationship difficulties. My approach is compassionate, practical, and supportive. I focus on meeting you where you are and working together to untangle what feels overwhelming, while giving you tools that create real change. Therapy with me is not about quick fixes but about building a life that feels balanced, meaningful, and authentic. I also understand the importance of creativity and personal expression. My background in the arts has shown me how vital it is to have outlets for what we carry inside. Many of my clients are artists, performers, and writers, but creativity is not required. What matters is that you are a human being with a story, and I am here to help you move forward with strength and clarity. When we work together you will find a therapist who listens without judgment, asks thoughtful questions, and collaborates with you to find solutions that fit your life. I look forward to meeting you, learning your story, and helping you take the next step toward healing and growth.

Have you been feeling little or no enjoyment in the things that used to bring you joy? Do you feel stuck in negative thought patterns or easily irritated? Maybe you are longing for close relationships with others, but once conflict arises or someone begins to be vulnerable, you become scared, which in turn leads you to pull away from those you love. My aim is to join with you in your therapeutic journey and merely facilitate the process of healing, as I believe each person has the potential and strength within them to overcome whatever adversity they have experienced. I look forward to knowing and understanding each person’s heart, as there is so much beauty, victory, and joy waiting to be unlocked within you all!

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 12 years of experience in crisis response, clinical assessment, and trauma-informed care. I work primarily with adults and adolescents (12+) navigating trauma, anxiety, ADHD, burnout, and major life transitions. My approach draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT). I believe therapy should help people become more confident in understanding themselves and responding to life's challenges. My goal isn't to provide all the answers, but to help clients leave with the perspective and a different way of navigating challenges. Before entering outpatient practice, I spent many years working in crisis services and involuntary treatment settings. That experience reinforced something I continue to believe deeply: people are often capable of far more change than they realize. Everyone has the capacity to get better and make positive changes. I especially enjoy working with people who are curious, reflective, and invested in their own growth. Many of my clients are professionals, entrepreneurs, healthcare workers, first responders, and others balancing demanding lives while striving to live with greater purpose and intention. As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I also understand firsthand both the strengths and challenges that can come with ADHD, and I enjoy helping clients build systems that work with their brains rather than against them.

Do you often see patterns in your life that you would like to change ,yet still repeat them? Counseling sessions will provide the support and guidance to understand and release emotions that keep you stuck. Relationships are key, whether it be your relationship with yourself, your partner, family member or friends, you will be able to develop self awareness and understanding of the influence of family culture and dynamics. Over 30 years as a therapist, I have worked in a variety of settings , with a wide spectrum of ages and cultures . This experience has deepened my respect for each individual's journey and the influence of their family beliefs. I help clients to acknowledge these beliefs and gradually transform and expand them to enhance rather than limit their lives. I have enjoyed working with children and adolescents and bring this experience with me , yet I am currently working primarily with adults which includes a special enjoyment to help couples to successfully transform limiting patterns and develop clear communication and listening skills. I have learned so much about life transitions through my work with trauma, hospice, death and dying, treatment foster care, eating disorders and liaison work with educational and community. These experience have strengthen my belief in human resiliency. All of the sessions are remote and I provide a phone call prior to beginning sessions where you will be able to ask questions to see if we are a good "fit" to work together.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
