New to Grow
I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. My role as a therapist is to provide a supportive, collaborative space where you can better understand yourself, navigate life's challenges, and move toward the life you want to create. I work with individual adults in Colorado and Hawaii who are experiencing life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship changes, infertility, career decisions, stress, or simply feeling stuck. Sometimes clients come to therapy because of a specific event, while others have a general sense that something isn't working anymore. Wherever you're starting, we'll work together to identify your strengths, understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools for lasting change. My approach combines evidence-based psychotherapy with a whole-person perspective. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, and person-centered counseling while tailoring each session to your individual needs and goals. I believe emotional wellness is influenced by every part of our lives, and therapy should honor the unique experiences, values, and strengths that each person brings into the room. Whether you're looking for support through a difficult season or seeking greater purpose, balance, and fulfillment, I strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered.
Beginning therapy can feel exciting, uncertain, or somewhere in between. My goal is to make our first session feel comfortable, conversational, and free of pressure. We'll spend time talking about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope will be different as a result of our work together. I'll ask questions to better understand your experiences, your history, and the strengths you've already developed along the way, but you never have to share more than you're ready to discuss. We'll also talk about what has and hasn't worked for you in the past, answer any questions you have about therapy, and begin identifying goals that feel meaningful to you. By the end of our first session, you'll have a better understanding of how I work, and we'll have started building a plan that fits your unique needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I want you to leave our first meeting feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead.
No two people experience life the same way, so I don't believe therapy should look the same for everyone. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to tailor treatment to each individual while building a genuine therapeutic relationship based on trust, curiosity, and respect. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, and person-centered counseling. Rather than focusing only on symptom reduction, I also help clients develop insight, resilience, self-compassion, and practical skills they can continue using long after therapy ends. Clients often describe me as warm, genuine, down-to-earth, and easy to talk with. I value authenticity and believe that meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to explore difficult experiences without judgment. I also bring a holistic perspective to therapy. Emotional well-being is connected to our thoughts, behaviors, relationships, physical health, values, and environment. When appropriate, we may incorporate mindfulness, creativity, nature, or wellness practices alongside traditional psychotherapy to support lasting growth.
My ideal clients are individual adults who are motivated to better understand themselves and create meaningful, lasting change. They don't need to have everything figured out—in fact, many come to therapy because they feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or disconnected from the life they want. Many are navigating significant life transitions such as entering adulthood, marriage or divorce, infertility, grief, career changes, anxiety, depression, or questions about identity, purpose, and personal growth. Others simply recognize patterns that are no longer serving them and are ready to approach life differently. The clients I enjoy working with are curious about themselves, open to learning new skills, and willing to engage in the therapeutic process at their own pace. Together, we focus on building insight, strengthening resilience, and creating practical strategies that support emotional wellness both inside and outside the therapy session.
Other specialties
I identify as
Integrative
I use an integrative approach to tailor therapy to your unique needs rather than relying on a single treatment method. By combining evidence-based techniques from multiple therapeutic approaches, we can build on your strengths, address your specific concerns, and create a personalized path toward meaningful, lasting change.
Compassion Focused
I use Compassion-Focused Therapy to help clients develop greater self-compassion and reduce the impact of shame, self-criticism, and perfectionism. Together, we build a kinder, more balanced relationship with yourself while strengthening emotional resilience, confidence, and overall well-being.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use mindfulness to help clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences without judgment. By learning to stay grounded in the present moment, clients can reduce stress, manage overwhelming emotions, and respond to life's challenges with greater clarity, balance, and intention.
Narrative
I use Narrative Therapy to help clients explore the stories they tell about themselves and the experiences that have shaped their lives. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, build on your strengths and values, and create a more empowering story that supports growth, resilience, and meaningful change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior that may be contributing to emotional distress. Together, we develop practical strategies to challenge those patterns, build healthier coping skills, and create lasting changes that support improved emotional well-being and everyday functioning.
