Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience. I’ve learned that while clinical tools are essential, they work best when delivered with warmth and empathy. I have a Master’s in Social Work from LSU (Geaux Tigers!). I spent the last eight years working extensively with the Veteran population. This experience deepened my expertise in trauma-focused, evidence-based care and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe there is no one quite like you, so I keep my approach warm and down-to-earth, prioritizing our relationship as the foundation for growth. Whether we are navigating life transitions or daily challenges, I am committed to a practical, solution-focused partnership that honors your unique story and helps you find your own rhythm.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

Integrating faith into the therapeutic process is a deeply personal journey that centers on the belief that spiritual health and mental well-being are inextricably linked. This approach moves beyond traditional clinical methods by incorporating prayer, scripture, and Christian values to help navigate life's challenges. By fostering a space where your relationship with God is a core component of healing, the work focuses on finding strength and purpose through a biblical lens. Whether addressing specific transitions or seeking long-term growth, this collaborative style ensures that your spiritual convictions remain the foundation of your path toward wholeness.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use my formal training from Veterans Affairs to provide an evidence-based approach that helps you master the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and actions. In our work together, I help you identify and reframe the specific thought patterns that may be holding you back, giving you the clarity to look at challenges from a new perspective. By learning to name and understand your feelings, you can move through them with more ease rather than feeling overwhelmed by them. My goal is to empower you to choose behaviors that align with your personal values and move you closer to your life goals. This structured yet warm approach ensures that the strategies we develop are practical, effective, and tailored specifically to your daily reality.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you stop struggling with painful thoughts and feelings and instead focus on what truly matters to you, changing the question from "what's the matter with me" to "what matters to me?" By fostering psychological flexibility and mindfulness, I support you in accepting what is out of your control while committing to actions that enrich your life and align with your deepest values.
