Marriage & Family Therapist | Couples Counseling | Postpartum & First-Time Parent Support The transition into parenthood can place unexpected strain on even strong relationships. Many couples experience increased conflict, emotional distance, or difficulty communicating after the birth of a child. First-time parents may also struggle with anxiety, overwhelm, identity shifts, and symptoms of postpartum depression or anxiety that feel isolating or hard to name. I specialize in working with couples and first-time parents navigating relationship stress and postpartum mental health challenges. I support clients through this transition by helping them strengthen communication, rebuild emotional safety, and develop practical tools that support both individual well-being and long-term relationship health. Clients often come to therapy feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward together. In our work, we slow things down, identify unhelpful patterns, and build skills for emotional regulation, clearer communication, and deeper connection — both individually and as a couple.

If you struggle with anxious attachment, people pleasing, setting boundaries, feeling triggered, anger, anxiety, depression, co-dependence, parenting issues, and ADD/ ADHD, then I want to work with you. These symptoms and attachment style are often related to each other and often related to similar childhood experiences of inconstant or abusive/neglectful caregivers. (ADD and ADHD is not cause by caregivers, however, when it goes undiagnosed in children, there is s strong correlation to symptoms described above)

I’m Dr. Andy Davis, a licensed psychologist with 18 years of experience in the mental health field. Thirteen of those years were spent serving in the U.S. Air Force, where I had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. My clinical focus includes depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress, grief, personality disorders, LGBTQ+ issues, and concerns related to sex and pornography addiction. As a sex-positive therapist, I provide a safe and affirming environment for clients to explore sensitive areas of their lives without fear of judgment. My therapeutic style is both solutions-focused and rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). I believe therapy should be proactive and goal-driven, helping clients not only gain insight but also develop strategies for change. Clients often describe me as direct and honest, while also compassionate and collaborative—I strive to give practical feedback and advice that can be applied both in and outside of sessions. I especially enjoy working with veterans, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and young adults. These groups often face unique challenges, and I consider it an honor to walk alongside them as they navigate life’s complexities. In addition to my clinical work, I have an extensive background in clinical research. While serving in the Air Force, I conducted sleep studies and developed modern treatment approaches for PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. This research continues to inform my practice, and I place strong emphasis on developing healthy routines, quality sleep schedules, and consistent self-care as foundations for mental health. I often work with clients to build structure into daily life, recognizing these habits play a powerful role in resilience and long-term well-being. Above all, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to face challenges, discover new perspectives, and build lasting resilience.

Hello, my name is Claudia, and I hold an LCSW to practice therapy in California. I am a neurodivergent, queer practitioner, daughter of immigrants, and mama bear. I am deeply engaged in the ongoing reclamation of my lineage and helping other folks find the culture and healing from their own connection process. I come from generations of artists, dancers, and poets, and my approach reflects the creative, embodied wisdom of those ancestors who came before me, those who survived, thrived, and cared for one another. My work is designed to help individuals and groups implement nonviolent communication, healing justice practices, and integration strategies that foster authenticity and alignment in daily life—through creativity, mindfulness, and movement/somatics. Rooted in a community organizing foundation, my consulting work is highly strategic and intentionally targeted. I collaborate with organizations and individuals ready to embrace new approaches to solution-seeking—grounded in transformative justice, liberation, and nervous system regulation—while applying ancestral, intergenerational wisdom to sustain meaningful progress. I offer short-term, deeply immersive work that ensures rapid but lasting transformation, with results typically realized within 3 to 6 months. My approach is not just about conceptual change but about daily embodiment, where new habits of expansion and love are integrated into every dimension of life. Additionally, I provide multi-modality, creative expansion workshops and art installations—transformational experiences designed to activate lasting shifts in one encounter. These immersive practices harness the wisdom of our five senses, rewiring internal narratives and dismantling restrictions that keep us stuck. If this resonates, let’s connect and explore how we can co-create something powerful together.

I started my journey into psychotherapy back in 2005. Over the years, I have learned a great deal regarding how much our lives are impacted by how we see the world, and what we focus on. I have learned that focusing on the present moment, and enjoying each moment for what it offers can be priceless. I have learned, and now teach others how to live mindfully, not in the past or the future, but in the present moment, as when we leave the present moment is when our suffering begins. I have extensive experience in trauma, and overcoming traumas, as well as approaching the world from a cultural perspective. Based on experience, I have seen that we see the world through the sense of our cultural forefathers, and therefore, sometimes we need to adjust our interpretation of what we see and experience. I have been amazed at the tenacity and strength of the human spirit, and I cannot disregard the presence of an all knowing, encompassing presence of a higher being in our lives. It is for this reason that I encourage patients to look at the world from multiple points of view. Sometimes changing the lens with which we look at the world, can make all the difference in what we see and feel.

I'm a psychoanalyst, not a generalist talk therapist. That distinction matters, especially because "psychoanalysis" gets used loosely to describe all kinds of depth-oriented work — Jungian, relational, psychodynamic — and these approaches, while related, aren't the same as what I do. I work specifically within a Lacanian framework. Where Jungian analysis tends to orient around archetypes and the collective unconscious, and relational/psychodynamic approaches often emphasize the therapeutic relationship itself as the primary vehicle of change, Lacanian work stays close to language: what you actually say, how you say it, where you stumble, repeat, or contradict yourself. The unconscious, in this view, isn't a symbolic underworld to be mapped; it's structured like a language, and it shows up in the gaps, slips, and inconsistencies of your own speech. My job isn't to interpret you from the outside or to be a warm, steady presence that helps you feel supported (though I'm very present and attentive to what you say). It's by listening very closely to what you say — and how you say it — that patterns you can't currently see start to become audible to you. This also means the frame looks different than typical talk therapy. Sessions can be variable in length rather than a fixed 45 to 60 minutes, because meaningful moments don't always arrive on a schedule. Over time, and only when it makes sense, we may move toward more frequent sessions and away from face-to-face format, using the couch — not as a gimmick, but because many people find they speak more freely without the pull to read my reactions. This work is slower and less directive than most therapy people have tried. It's not for everyone, and it's not designed as such. It's for people who've done other kinds and want to go further.

Are you stuck in conflict-with your partner, your teenager, a family member, or even within yourself? Do you find yourself questioning your worth, overthinking your relationships, or feeling overwhelmed with anxiety? You don't have to figure it out alone. Therapy can help you understand the patterns that keep you stuck and build healthier ways of connecting with yourself and the people you care about. I help teens and adults build confidence, manage anxiety, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. I also help parents strengthen their connection with their teens while reducing conflict at home. My approach is compassionate, relational and trauma-informed, integrating mindfulness, CBT, DBT, psychodynamic and narrative principles to support insight and healing. A bit about me...I became licensed in the state of California in 2011. Prior to that, I received a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University and a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies from the University of California at Berkeley. I have worked in schools, non-profit agencies, and in private practice, serving diverse populations to include children, adolescents, adult individuals, families, and couples. I look forward to connecting with you. ** También hablo español. No dude en comunicarse conmigo si necesita apoyo. Espero poder conversar con usted pronto.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a strong foundation in both community development and clinical practice, allowing me to bring a comprehensive, systems-informed perspective to my work with individuals and professionals. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Community and Regional Development from UC Davis in 2007, where I developed a deep understanding of how environments, systems, and relationships shape overall well-being. I went on to complete my Master’s in Social Work at Sacramento State University in 2010. My career in social work has provided me with diverse and extensive experience, including supporting individuals through acute psychiatric and medical hospitalizations, working with trauma, navigating complex systems, and serving youth and families involved in foster care. I began my clinical practice in 2019, where I transitioned into providing direct therapy and further developing my therapeutic approach. Over time, I have expanded my role to include clinical supervision, mentoring and supporting associate clinicians as they grow their skills and professional identity. In my work with clients, I take a practical, collaborative approach, helping individuals navigate anxiety, stress, life transitions, and executive functioning challenges. I am committed to creating a supportive and empowering space where meaningful, sustainable growth can occur, while also contributing to the development of thoughtful, ethical clinicians in the field.

I am a licensed professional clinical counselor (CA-LPCC, TX-LPC) and EMDR-certified clinician specializing in the integration of EMDR, clinical hypnotherapy, performance psychology, and nervous system regulation. My work focuses on helping clients move beyond survival mode and reconnect with a sense of calm, confidence, strength, and purpose. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, panic, trauma, depression, stress-related disorders, relationship challenges, and performance-related pressure, as well as those navigating chronic health conditions, cancer treatment, and medical trauma. My approach is designed to help clients regulate the nervous system, improve emotional resilience, and restore a greater sense of safety and control within the body. I take an integrated approach to healing that combines evidence-based therapies with a strong emphasis on overall wellness, including sleep, stress management, movement, fitness, nutrition, recovery, and mind-body connection. I believe emotional health and physical health are deeply connected, and meaningful change often happens when we support both together. In addition to traditional psychotherapy, I incorporate EMDR, clinical hypnotherapy, somatic-based interventions, nervous system regulation, and cognitive-behavioral strategies to create practical, lasting change. I also work with high-functioning individuals, athletes, and performers who want to improve focus, confidence, resilience, and consistency under pressure. My goal is not simply symptom reduction, but helping clients feel stronger, more grounded, more emotionally regulated, and more fully engaged in their lives.
