About me

If you're considering therapy, chances are you're carrying something that feels heavy, and you're looking for someone who can help you make sense of it. I believe people are capable of change. Not because change is easy—it isn't. Change requires courage, self-awareness, and a willingness to try something different. But when people are motivated and learn healthier, more adaptive ways of thinking, feeling, and relating to themselves and others, meaningful growth is possible. As a therapist, I am warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I strive to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, even when you're talking about the parts of your life that feel messy, painful, or difficult to understand. Clients often tell me they appreciate my sense of humor, my kindness, and my ability to challenge them in a way that feels supportive rather than confrontational. I believe therapy doesn't have to feel cold or clinical. Some of our work may be serious, but I also believe healing can happen in moments of connection, insight, and even laughter. My role is not to tell you what to do or who to be. Instead, I work alongside you to better understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical tools for change, and help you move toward the life you want to create. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, self-worth, or navigating a difficult season of life, I will meet you where you are and support you in taking the next step forward. I am also an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University in their graduate program for students working on their Master’s in Marriage, Family Therapy - this has helped me in exploring the field with a different perspective and promoting an inquisitive approach.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it's your first time. My goal is to make our first session feel as comfortable and conversational as possible. During our first meeting, we'll spend time getting to know one another. I'll ask questions about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You don't need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to start—that's part of my job. We'll move at a pace that feels manageable for you. The first session is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of who I am and whether I feel like a good fit for your needs. I welcome questions about my approach, the therapy process, or anything else that will help you feel more comfortable. While we'll begin exploring your concerns, my primary focus is understanding your story, identifying your goals, and creating a space where you feel heard, supported, and understood. You can expect warmth, honesty, collaboration, and perhaps a little humor along the way. By the end of our first session, my hope is that you'll leave feeling a little less alone, with a clearer understanding of where we can go from here and a sense that meaningful change is possible.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe therapy is most effective when it balances acceptance and change. While many people come to therapy looking for answers, I focus on helping clients better understand themselves, identify the patterns that are no longer serving them, and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. What I have learned is that, most times, people know the answer they just need help in figuring out what to do with it. What sets my approach apart is the combination of warmth, authenticity, and gentle accountability. My clients often tell me they appreciate that I am easy to talk to, down-to-earth, and genuinely invested in their growth. I create a space where people feel safe enough to be vulnerable, while also feeling supported when it's time to challenge long-standing beliefs, habits, or behaviors that may be keeping them stuck. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Every client brings a unique story, set of experiences, strengths, and goals. I work collaboratively with each person to tailor treatment to their needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches while remaining flexible and responsive to what is most helpful in the moment. I also believe that therapy doesn't have to feel cold, clinical, or intimidating. While we will address difficult emotions and experiences, there is room for humor, curiosity, and genuine human connection. Some of the most meaningful moments in therapy happen when clients feel truly understood and empowered to see themselves in a new way.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change in their lives. They may feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, overwhelmed by anxiety, struggling with self-doubt, navigating difficult relationships, processing past experiences, or facing a major life transition. They may find themselves overthinking, people-pleasing, or feeling disconnected from the person they want to be. While they may not know exactly how to move forward, they are open to exploring new perspectives and willing to engage in the process of growth. My ideal clients are not looking for someone to "fix" them. They are looking for a collaborative partner who can help them better understand their experiences, challenge unhelpful patterns, and develop healthier ways of coping and relating to themselves and others. They value honesty, authenticity, and a therapist who can balance warmth and support with gentle accountability. Most importantly, my ideal clients are willing to show up—even when it's uncomfortable. They understand that change is not always easy, but they are hopeful that things can be different and are ready to take the first step toward creating the life they want.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

Attachment-based approach is less about using a specific set of interventions and more about viewing a client's current struggles through the lens of their attachment experiences and relational patterns throughout their life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Understanding that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are interconnected. Often, we develop patterns of thinking about ourselves, others, and the world that may have been helpful at one time but no longer serve us. Through CBT, I help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge beliefs that may be limiting their growth, and develop healthier, more balanced ways of thinking. Together, we explore how your thoughts influence your emotions and behaviors, while building practical skills to help you respond to life's challenges more effectively.

Couples Counseling

I help partners move beyond recurring arguments and unhealthy patterns to better understand one another's needs, emotions, and perspectives. My approach focuses on improving communication, strengthening connection, rebuilding trust, and creating healthier ways of navigating conflict.

EMDR

EMDR is an evidence-based approach that helps individuals process and heal from distressing experiences that may continue to impact their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and daily lives. EMDR helps the brain reprocess difficult memories so they feel less overwhelming and no longer hold the same emotional intensity. My goal is to help clients find relief, build resilience, and move forward with greater confidence and emotional freedom.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Helping individuals and couples better understand the emotions and attachment needs that drive their thoughts, behaviors, and relationship patterns.
