I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, grief, and stress. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it on your own. I specialize in helping clients reduce anxiety, improve mood, and feel more in control of their daily lives. Many of my clients are used to being the “strong one” for others but are now feeling drained and in need of support. My goal is to help you feel better, function better, and regain a sense of balance and clarity. My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and results-focused. I use evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand your thoughts, manage emotions, and develop coping skills you can use in real-life situations. For clients who desire it, I also integrate holistic and faith-based support so therapy aligns with your values. I provide a safe, supportive space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and begin moving forward with confidence. You don’t have to do this alone—Hope Abounds.
We’ll begin by talking about what brought you to therapy and what you’ve been experiencing. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, stress, or feeling overwhelmed, you’ll have space to share what’s been weighing on you. You can go at your own pace—there’s no pressure to share everything all at once. I will ask some questions to better understand your background, current challenges, and how these concerns are affecting your daily life. This helps me get a clear picture so we can create a plan that is practical and tailored to your needs. I’ll also explain how therapy works, what you can expect from me, and how we will work together moving forward. If you’re new to therapy, I will guide you through the process so everything feels clear and manageable. You’ll have time to ask any questions about treatment, scheduling, or anything else on your mind. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals. Some clients come in with clear goals, while others are still figuring things out—both are completely okay. Whether your goal is to reduce anxiety, improve your mood, cope with grief, or feel more like yourself again, we will begin creating a direction that feels meaningful and achievable. Most importantly, our first session is about connection. I prioritize creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and not judged. Many clients leave the first session feeling a sense of relief—like they can finally exhale—because they realize they don’t have to carry everything alone. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting. You just need to take the first step. From the very beginning, you have someone on your team.
With over 20 years of experience, one of my greatest strengths is helping clients feel understood quickly while also providing clear, practical steps toward feeling better. Many clients begin noticing relief within the first few sessions because our work is focused, structured, and results-driven. I specialize in helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, grief, and emotional overwhelm. I understand how difficult it can be when your thoughts feel constant, your mood is low, or stress begins to interfere with your ability to function day-to-day. My focus is on helping you reduce symptoms, regain stability, and feel more in control of your life. What sets my approach apart is the balance between compassion and structure. I create a supportive, nonjudgmental space while also being goal-oriented and focused on progress. Therapy is not just about talking—it’s about learning tools you can actually use in your daily life. I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you identify and change unhelpful thought patterns, regulate emotions, and build effective coping skills. I tailor therapy to your individual needs, and for clients who desire it, I integrate holistic and faith-based support so your care feels both practical and personally meaningful. Another key strength is my focus on real-life application. Clients leave sessions with strategies they can use immediately—whether it’s managing anxiety in the moment, improving communication, coping with grief, or handling stress more effectively. This helps you feel more confident and capable outside of therapy, not just during sessions. I also have extensive experience supporting clients navigating chronic or serious health conditions. I understand the emotional impact these experiences can have and work to help you process, cope, and find moments of peace and clarity even during difficult times. Clients often describe my style as calming, direct, and empowering. Over time, many experience improved emotional regulation, stronger coping skills, better relationships, and a greater sense of peace and stability. My goal is simple: to help you feel better, function better, and move forward with clarity and confidence. Because even in difficult seasons—Hope Abounds.
My ideal client is someone who is feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stretched thin from trying to manage everything on their own. They may be experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, or grief, and are ready for support—even if they’re not exactly sure where to start. Many of my clients are individuals who are used to being the “strong one” for others—whether in their family, relationships, or work—but are now realizing they need a space to focus on themselves. They may feel stuck, mentally drained, or unsure how to move forward, even though they are functioning on the outside. I also work well with clients who are navigating life transitions, relationship stress, or the emotional impact of chronic or serious health conditions. These clients often want to better understand what they’re feeling, learn how to cope more effectively, and regain a sense of balance and control in their daily lives. My ideal client is open to learning practical tools and strategies to manage their thoughts, emotions, and stress. They don’t need to have everything figured out—they just need to be willing to take the first step toward feeling better. Common goals my clients have include: Reducing anxiety and feeling emotionally overwhelmed Improving mood and daily functioning Developing strong, reliable coping skills Processing grief or difficult life experiences Feeling more confident, grounded, and in control Many are also looking for a therapist who is compassionate, direct, and focused on progress—not just listening, but actively helping them move forward. If you’re ready to feel better, gain clarity, and have support along the way, we are a good fit..
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My hope is to assist clients in identifying the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By learning to recognize and shift unhelpful patterns, clients gain practical tools to manage challenges more effectively and create meaningful change. My approach is holistic, addressing the whole person—emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual if desired—so that healing occurs on multiple levels. Above all, I strive to create a therapeutic space that fosters growth and overall well-being.
Christian Counseling
I integrate Christian counseling by combining biblical principles with evidence-based therapy. My experience has shown that clients often find strength, comfort, and renewed hope when their faith is included in the healing process. I use this approach to help clients explore challenges through a spiritual lens, while also developing practical coping skills for daily life. This allows healing to address the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—in alignment with each client’s values and beliefs.
Grief Therapy
I provide a compassionate and supportive space for clients to process the deep pain of loss. I use therapeutic tools to help clients express emotions, honor their loved ones, and navigate the changes grief brings into their lives. My approach is both structured and gentle, focusing on developing healthy coping strategies while walking alongside clients as they move toward healing. I emphasize resilience, meaning-making, and holistic support so clients can carry both their grief and their hope forward.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
In my practice, I use mindfulness-based therapy to help clients build awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in the present moment. My experience shows that practicing mindfulness reduces stress, improves emotional regulation, and creates space for healthier responses to life’s challenges. I guide clients in simple, practical exercises—such as grounding, breathwork, and mindful reflection—that support healing in a holistic and hope-centered way.
Trauma Informed Care
I use a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety, trust, and empowerment. I recognize how past experiences may shape present thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and I work with clients at a pace that respects their readiness for healing. My focus is on building resilience, fostering self-compassion, and providing tools that restore a sense of control and hope, while addressing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
