Hello, my name is Lisa. I am an emerging therapist in telehealth services. I am privileged to have the opportunity to help you navigate through difficult and complex life stressors. My approach is collaborative, to ensure that you feel heard and understood. I draw from evidence-based practices while respecting each person’s unique experience. My goal is to help you reconnect with your strengths, gain insight and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
Emotions are the language of energy. In this language, there are critical messages to be understood. Emotions communicate what your needs are. Your mind translates this information so that needs can be met. Sometimes, it feels unsafe to acknowledge your emotions so the intellect, instead, pushes emotions down. With emotions silenced, you become deprived of connection to yourself, to others and needs go unmet. In this deprivation, you also lose authenticity. The call to acknowledgement returns, again and again, louder and louder.
We can collaborate together to learn this language and to recover the gold of your authentic self. Its already there, where it has always been. Who you really are is full of potential, courageous, confident and quite worthy of connection. When you know this, there is an energy that arises as well. A motivation for action.
Wherever you are at on this journey, is where I want to meet you. What a victory that you have already taken the brave step of searching for a therapist. Celebrate that. Perhaps the next movement is to reach out. We can explore next incremental steps from there.
I believe a good clinician is a moldable one — someone who adapts to the person in front of them rather than fitting people into a fixed approach. My work is collaborative, insight-oriented, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on yourself. Together, we explore the patterns, stories, and relational blueprints that have shaped how you see yourself and the world — and we work to rewrite the ones that no longer serve you.
I work with individuals and couples across the lifespan, and I am proudly affirming of the LGBTQIA+, kink, and BDSM communities. I specialize in trauma, identity, depression, anxiety, relationships, and sexual health, and I bring the same nonjudgmental, culturally humble approach to every client I see. I also offer faith-integrated counseling for those who wish to incorporate spirituality into their healing.
Whether you arrive ready to dive in or full of resistance — I'll meet you where you are. I am bilingual and bicultural, and welcome clients who move between both languages and worlds.
Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about me. My name is Janet and I have had the pleasure of working as therapist for over a decade. I have experience treating children, women, and families. I believe in the importance of tailoring care to the unique individual. Therefore, I like to spend time learning about my clients and what feels helpful to them specifically. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic, EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and more.
I've been a licensed clinical social worker for over 30 years. I graduated with a bachelor's degree from University of California Los Angeles then worked a few years in the "corporate world" before going to graduate school. I got my Master of Social Work at University of Southern California. Since then I have worked with a wide variety of people; from those with terminal illnesses, to those coping with childhood trauma, to those with situational depression and anxiety. The one thing all my clients have in common is the opportunity to be truly seen and heard. Sometimes that is with quiet compassion and sometimes it's by having me cheer them on as they move toward their goals.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship concerns, identity exploration, and life transitions. My approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and culturally responsive, integrating evidence-based practices with deeper insight-oriented work. I strive to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to make meaningful, lasting change. Through therapy, clients often gain greater clarity, stronger coping skills, deeper self-awareness, and a renewed sense of direction and connection in their lives.
Hi, I’m Tracy Alvarado, LPCC. I’m a wife to a Marine and a mom to a young boy, and those roles have deeply shaped the way I connect with others in my work. Being part of a family connected to service has given me meaningful insight into the challenges, transitions, and sacrifices that can come with military and public service life. I’m passionate about helping individuals and families feel supported, understood, and empowered as they navigate stress, relationships, and life’s many demands.
As a compassionate and experienced therapist, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve personal growth. I've worked with clients from many walks of life and with varied needs including, but not limited to, first responders/medical professionals, educators and people going through life transitions. My areas of expertise are in Behavior Modification, Depression, Anxiety, Grief, Risk Assessment, Trauma and Life Cycle adaptation. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing and a Humanistic approach to help my clients bring out the best in themselves. I like to use compassion, thoughtful questions, and guided self reflection because I think in counseling we should start wherever you are and work collaboratively as partners in your journey towards a better quality of life.
It is not uncommon to have questions about a prospective therapist and best fit. I am open to any questions and it is my hope that we will make a great team and you will become that better version of yourself you're searching for.

Hello! I’m Danielle. I am from Massachusetts where I completed my undergraduate (Criminal Justice & Psychology) and graduate (social work) studies. During undergrad, I volunteered with a program that help inmates with serious mental health disorder re-enter to the community. I was told the most efficient way to engage in that type of work was to go to a MSW program, so I did. During my graduate program, I heavily explored crisis intervention/assessments. Since then I have worked at a variety of places, including therapy, case management, prisons, and emergency response.
As someone who has been in and out of therapy since I was young, I never wanted to be administering therapy. I thought being a therapist would be boring and I didn’t really understand it. However, as I’ve explored what therapy should be- treating someone using an evidenced-based practice- I enjoy administering mental health treatment, using a scientific approach.
My goal is to help you gain relief from symptoms, maintain or enhance daily functioning, and improve quality of life. Ultimately, I want you to gain a sense of independence and confidence in your ability to navigate life’s challenges, using the tools and insights you’ve developed in therapy.
I am a licensed therapist with a background in clinical leadership, having served in management and director-level roles overseeing behavioral health programs. I have extensive experience working with individuals with severe mental illness, including those in high-acuity settings, where I’ve been responsible for program development, clinical oversight, and supporting multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective, ethical care.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a range of settings including community mental health, managed care, and structured treatment programs, where I supported large patient populations and helped implement systems focused on outcomes, stability, and continuity of care. This experience has shaped my ability to work with complex clinical presentations, crisis situations, and individuals navigating significant life disruption.
In my clinical work, I help clients who are facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and existential concerns—especially those struggling with questions of meaning, identity, and direction. I integrate evidence-based approaches like ACT, CBT, DBT, and attachment-based therapy to provide both practical tools and deeper, insight-oriented work.
My style is direct, collaborative, and grounded. I bring both clinical expertise and real-world leadership experience into the therapy space, helping clients move toward meaningful, sustainable change.

Hi There! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California and primarily work with folx who struggle with addiction and mental health. I have experience providing individual and group treatment for folx who are interested in abstinence/sobriety and harm reduction. I have worked in this field for approximately seven years and have found this work truly fulfilling.
I believe self-compassion is an important and often overlooked skill/tool, and I focus on using this in my sessions. I work from a perspective of cultural humility and enjoy meeting with folx who are BIPOC and/or part of the Lgbtq+ community. I also believe in the importance of fat acceptance and body positivity, which is something that is often neglected/overlooked.
I am also the mother of an adult with Autism/neurodivergence and have experience personally and professionally with caregiving and burnout.

I’m a licensed therapist who combines straight talk, deep empathy, and a bit of humor to help people untangle the patterns that keep them stuck and build lives that actually fit them. I work collaboratively and experientially—pulling from CBT, DBT, and narrative approaches—to help you make sense of your story, strengthen your resilience, and create practical change in the real world.
Welcome! My name is Kimberly, and I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Los Angeles, CA. I work with clients of various walks of life, spanning from ages 13 through 65 and above. My focus is on helping clients manage symptoms of anxiety and depression in relation to a variety of life stressors. I specialize in helping clients navigate life transitions, low self-esteem, peer relationship issues, adjustment to chronic illness, and grief and loss. I use elements of various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and somatic based healing in my practice by creating a tailored approach to meet each individual client’s needs. I strive to help my clients build greater self awareness, navigate emotions, and equip them with practical skills they can use in their daily lives. I understand that taking the first step to finding support can be challenging, so congratulations on being here!
My approach integrates Person-Centered Expressive Arts Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing, mindfulness, DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, active imagination, systems theory, and solution-focused therapy.
I believe healing involves more than changing thoughts alone. Research on neuroplasticity shows the brain and nervous system can form new pathways throughout life, creating opportunities for meaningful emotional and behavioral change. Therapy can support not only insight, but also emotional regulation, self-compassion, nervous system balance, creativity, and resilience.
I work collaboratively and compassionately, welcoming all parts of you into the therapeutic process. Together, we may explore thoughts, emotions, body awareness, imagination, patterns shaped by past experiences, and practical tools that support lasting growth and healing. You do not need to be “artistic” to benefit from expressive arts therapy.
I am passionate about the impact of spirituality in mental health therapy. As an attachment informed humanist LPCC, I consider the bio-psycho-social-spiritual/existential condition of the folks with whom I work. Healing is a matter of integrating the disparate and fragmented parts of life. Empathy, acceptance, positive regard, and genuineness are crucial elements for effective therapy and these are the characteristics I seek to cultivate in my practice. As far as a specific toolkit, CBT and Motivational Interviewing are the primary evidence based methodologies I employ to be with people in their self-paced, goal oriented healing efforts. Those who want to examine the angst, anxiety, disquiet, and friction in their lives will find a fellow traveler in me.
My name is Thomas Barhorst, and I started counseling in 2004. In addition to having a small private practice shortly after I received my Missouri license in 2007; I have worked as a K-12 school counselor, in substance use treatment, in a residential treatment setting, in a community mental health agency, helping individuals with disabilities transition into the workforce, and helping graduate students manage stress in their professional programs (i.e. medical school, dental school, etc.). Recently, I have begun providing telehealth therapy after obtaining licensure in Arizona and California.
Outside of work, spending time with family and friends is important to me. I also enjoy stories, laughing, listening to stand-up comedy, cooking, playing sports like wallyball and ultimate frisbee on a non-competitive level, watching film noir and psychological thrillers, recently had the opportunity to take my car to a racetrack, and have played bass guitar in a rock band.
I’m a trauma-informed therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, grief, and complex relationship dynamics. My approach is supportive, grounded, and tailored to your unique needs. I help clients better understand their emotional patterns, process difficult experiences, and build practical tools for lasting change. I also have experience supporting individuals impacted by domestic violence and veterans. I aim to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and able to move forward at your own pace.
Are you feeling weighed down by memories that hold you back, battling persistent sadness or emptiness, dealing with anxious thoughts that make daily life feel daunting? You are not alone, and I commend your courage in seeking support. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. Therapy should feel like a safe space where you can bring your whole self, your struggles, your hopes, and your strengths, without judgment. I draw from evidence-based approaches, tailoring each session to fit your unique needs and cultural background.
Feeling stuck in a cycle of distress that seems impossible to get out of? I believe everyone deserves a safe and non-judgmental space that can help them move beyond the difficulties that anxiety, depression, or heaviness of past traumas can bring. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who understands that therapy is a holistic approach that takes the whole individual and their environment into consideration. I know firsthand how exhausting it can be when anxiety, depression, or PTSD weigh down your daily life. My focus is on helping teens and adults not just cope, but truly heal. To do this, my approach is heavily grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and trauma-focused approaches. Throughout our sessions, we will build the practical everyday skills you need to reclaim your energy and create a life to be truly excited about.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Lic. 150726) who helps children, teens, adults, and couples tackle anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use, and life’s endless plot twists. Hi, my name is Colleen and I am an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in CA. I work with adults and teens utilizing a trauma informed approach to care. I specialize in helping clients to manage anxiety and depression, as well as navigating relationships and life transitions. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities that will vary based on the individual client's needs. I take a strengths based, person centered approach to therapy. I am experienced working with clients through IPT (Interpersonal Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), and exploring attachment.
I’m Agnes Weber-Trzaska, LCSW, a therapist and Certified Brainspotting Practitioner offering depth-oriented, brain-body therapy for individuals seeking meaningful and lasting change. My work is centered on helping clients move beyond simply managing symptoms and toward reconnecting with themselves in a more grounded, clear, and authentic way.
I often work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma responses, burnout, overwhelm, or recurring relational and emotional patterns that continue to feel unresolved despite insight or previous therapy. Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware, and high-functioning on the outside, yet internally feel disconnected, depleted, or stuck in survival-based patterns.
Through an integrative approach that includes Brainspotting, somatic therapy, attachment-based work, CBT, and parts work/IFS-informed approaches, I support clients in accessing deeper layers of healing, nervous system regulation, and emotional integration. My goal is to create a space that feels intentional, attuned, and supportive, and where lasting internal shifts and a different way of being become possible.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who was born and raised on Maui, Hawaiʻi. I am of mixed heritage—Hawaiian and Portuguese—and grew up at the intersection of Western influence and Indigenous ways of knowing. In my community, when someone was suffering, the first line of care often came from community healers—curandeiras—who worked with energy, connected with ancestors, and attended to what could not always be seen or spoken. There was also the influence of the land itself: the place that roots us, communicates with us, and teaches us. These early experiences shaped the way I understand healing, connection, and the deeper layers of human experience.
As a mixed-race trans man, I have spent much of my life navigating the intersections of culture, identity, and belonging. These lived experiences have shaped my capacity to hold complexity and nuance in the therapeutic process, and they have given me a unique perspective on how we hold ourselves—and one another—in mind. My work is grounded in an attachment-based, trauma-recovery, depth-oriented, and liberation-focused framework.
Depending on the needs of my clients, I also incorporate parts work, somatic approaches, mindfulness, and Brainspotting. I pay close attention to what is communicated beyond language—through tone, emotion, and presence. My ability to read people allows me to hear what is often veiled but deeply important to the experiences that may be keeping someone stuck. I approach this work with humility, care, and deep respect for each person’s story.
I have worked in the mental health field since 1995 across the San Francisco Bay Area, Maui, and Portland, Oregon, and I have been licensed and in private practice since 2017. It is a true honor to support people in their healing, growth, and self-understanding.
Hi - I'm John, and I'm glad you're here. Maybe you know the heaviness of a loss. The inner critic that won't let up. Or that anxious tightness in your chest that greets you in the morning. Here’s what I believe: You’ve already got all the inner equipment you need to move towards healing. Towards your most authentic, hot mess of an eclectic Self. My goal is to accompany you on a journey - inside. I work with adults seeking healthier ways to relate to themselves and others. I work with people who have been hit by life. Who are looking for a place to feel supported and witnessed when they’re in the thick of it.
I have a twenty-eight year background in community mental health. In that time I have worked with people from many different cultures, with wide array of psychosocial stressors and mental health challenges. Over the past eighteen years I have developed unique programing that has brought people together and looked at stories that may otherwise go untold. I have created a twenty-hour training that I offer annually online that helps teach providers how to work witih hard to reach people.
I have run a part-time private practice over the last six years and use trauma modalities like IFS and EMDR and other theories or movements that I have learned over time that further accentuate my work.

I have experience providing in-person and telehealth therapy services to pregnant and parenting mothers as well as individuals with severe mental illness who needed follow-up after hospitalization or just an on-going therapeutic relationship. As a member of the Queer community, I enjoy working with others who identify within that population. I have experience working with grief, end of life support for individuals as well as their family.
**Please note that I am a child and adolescent provider with a focus of treating trauma exposure and associated symptoms. I do not treat adults.**
I am a child and adolescent psychologist with over 16 years of experience in treatment of youth ages 7-18 who have experienced trauma, adverse experiences, and/or stressful or challenging life events. My focus is to help clients be their own agents of change to help them move forward, empower them to gain control over trauma reactions, and foster their resilience. I focus on evidence-based approaches to treat trauma, PTSD/complex PTSD, and associated symptoms, and adjust treatment according to the client's specific needs.
I treat trauma related symptoms and reactions stemming from a wide range of stressful events including physical or sexual abuse or assault; maltreatment or neglect; domestic or community violence; motor vehicle accidents; serious injuries; natural disasters; grief or loss; medical trauma and more.
Prior to private practice, I was a Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford where I directed the Stress and Resilience Clinic. I was part of the development team for Cue-Centered Therapy (CCT), an intervention combining cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) with an insight-based approach for youth with complex trauma. I provide teaching and training both nationally and internationally.
Self-knowledge can only take us so far in dealing with our challenges. It may go deeper than that with our most persistent issues. It can be invaluable to have a trusted and non-judgmental person to help us see our blindspots and to provide insights that we can't see on our own. If you feel ready to talk about making more progress in your personal growth and recovery, I hope you'll schedule a session today.
