I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping in navigate life’s transitions with strength and resilience. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and practical I use evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotional Focus Therapy (EFT) while honoring the unique story and needs of each client. I believe healing happens when we create a safe space for growth, and my goal is to empower you to build healthier relationships with yourself and others.
In your first session, we’ll spend time getting to know one another and creating a safe, comfortable space for you to share what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, your history, and what you hope to gain from our work together. This session is less about diving deep into solutions and more about understanding your story and building a foundation for our therapeutic relationship. Together, we’ll also set goals and discuss what the process might look like moving forward. My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer idea of how therapy can help you.
My greatest strengths are creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel truly seen and supported, and guiding them to rediscover their own resilience
My ideal clients are navigating the challenges of life, relationship transitions, or changes who are ready to rediscover their strength and sense of self. Many come to me feeling overwhelmed by loss, grief, self-doubt, or societal and cultural pressures, yet they hold a desire for healing, renewal, and empowerment. I work best with clients who are open to reflection, motivated to build healthier coping skills, and eager to create a more confident, fulfilling future for themselves.
In sessions, I help clients I work with identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to distress. Together, we explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and practice reframing negative thinking into more balanced perspectives. I also incorporate skill-building, such as mindfulness and coping strategies, so clients can test new ways of responding in their daily lives and reinforce healthier patterns.

Valeria is so kind and compassionate. I’m blessed to have someone who understands my values as a Christian and who is such a joy to speak too. I highly recommend her for postpartum anything, marital/relationship counseling, grief, etc. You won’t regret having her along your wellness journey. :)
