Hello,
I was born and raised in Stockton, California. I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 17 and in 1997, after 25 yeas of service, I retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Marine Corps, I worked as a Farrier (Horseshoer), as well as a structural welder (Ironworker), as those were the most marketable skill that I had. I came to a point where old injuries came back to haunt me and I could no longer walk (several years later, thanks to a surgery through the VA, I can walk again; thankful for that).
At this point, I changed professions and out of a desire to work with veterans, I returned to school, accomplishing all that was necessary to become a licensed counselor. I spent another career working for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically as a counselor in the Readjustment Counseling Service (Vet Center). I recently retired from the Vet Center and now I work part-time here with Grow Therapy.
As a retired Marine senior staff Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) and disabled combat veteran myself, the Vet Center was the perfect job. Vet Centers provide readjustment counseling to combat veterans and provide counseling to survivors of military sexual trauma (MST). Vet Centers also provide group counseling, bereavement counseling and couples counseling when this is determined to be of support to the veteran.
Readjustment counseling many times consists of treating/addressing symptoms related to post-traumatic stress (PTSD), I.e., anxiety, depression, exaggerated startle response, hypervigilance, sleep disturbance, etc. Many veterans go on to work as first responders and working with many first responders as well as medical personal, has provided me with a great deal of additional experience.
First, I want to congratulate you on taking the first step toward making a difference in your life. I know that for some, seeking therapy can be difficult, and I am honored to be considered your copilot on this journey.
My name is SaQuoira, but you can call me Cora! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been working in the mental health field for the past 10 years, with the last 5 years focused on providing therapy.
My goal for your treatment is for it to be client-focused, collaborative, and centered around you. Therapy is your space, and together we will identify your goals, explore what matters most to you, and work toward meaningful change.
I consider myself a direct therapist. My approach is warm, genuine, and supportive, while also being honest and straightforward. I won’t simply tell you what you want to hear. I’ll encourage you to look at things from different perspectives, challenge patterns that may no longer be serving you, and celebrate your progress along the way.
Hello. my name is Diane Gibbs and i have been a licensed clinical social worker since 2008.

I like to use a strengths based approach, empowering the clt to use their strengths in overcoming obstacles. I have used various modality interventions including CBT DBT Exposure Therapy, IFS, Strengths based, trauma focused, guided imagery, meditation, narrative, and visualization. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of The Mental Health Perspective LLC. My practice is grounded in a warm, compassionate, trauma-informed approach that recognizes each person’s experiences, strengths, and individual path toward healing.
I offer both intuition and clinical structure, while recognizing what may be underneath the presenting issue while still giving you practical tools to move forward. What I like to do is focus on the whole person, not just the diagnosis which I have found can be appealing to clients who don't want to feel like they're being reduced to a symptom or label-a diagnosis.
I like to help clients understand themselves. Rather than simply telling someone what to do, I help you identify patterns and understand why you respond the way they do.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Pasadena, passionate about helping people move past the patterns that make them feel "stuck."
As an Asian American therapist, I understand the unique pressures of navigating cultural expectations, family dynamics, and the pursuit of success. Life often feels like a constant cycle of trying to keep up—with professional demands, relationships, or heavy expectations. My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to "perform" or have all the answers. Instead, we can slow down and really look at what’s happening beneath the surface of your life.
I work with introspective individuals ready for deeper change. Many of my clients are high-achievers who have "made it" on the outside, but internally battle feelings of shame, people-pleasing, or boundary struggles. Whether you’re processing complex family history, navigating identity challenges, or feeling burnt out, I’m here to walk alongside you.
My approach blends two core principles: understanding your history and listening to your body. I use an intersubjective approach, which means we work together—using our relationship as a window into how you connect with the world. I also integrate the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM) to help you get more comfortable in your own skin. This is about more than just insight; it’s about learning to calm your nervous system so you can navigate life without feeling constantly on edge.
Ultimately, I want to help you move toward a life that feels authentically yours. By bringing hidden patterns into the light, we can reclaim your stability and freedom. You don’t have to carry the weight of the past alone.

Life moves fast and sometime we can’t keep up. Sometimes we don’t feel like we can talk to others for fear of judgment. Do you feel overwhelmed? Do you withdraw and shut down when you are struggling? Do you have thoughts come at you a mile a minute? Do those same thoughts take off into uncharted territory? It’s not uncommon, and you don’t have to feel that way forever. You might not have the tools to sort out or process these emotions. Maybe you know some skills, and are unsure how to or when to use them. These are just a few reasons why people seek therapy and I provide a supportive, non-judgmental and encouraging environment.
