I started helping those who are seeking to up-level their experiences and shine as their true and authentic selves in 2019. My journey first started in residential treatment facilities where I held space for those in early recovery from substance use disorders. This population ranged from men's only, women's only and LGBTQ+ Many of these individuals also struggled with anxiety, depression, trauma and eating disorders. I have also had the opportunity to work with adolescents at risk of sex trafficking. This work is extremely rewarding as the clients are at an age where they are most influential and willing. I am a deeply spiritual person and practice in the study of yoga and meditation and participate in somatic healings such as Kundalini Light Intergration (KALI) and breathworks. I am also a level two Reiki practitioner (training to become a master) and a certified personal trainer. When I am not holding space for healing, I enjoy being in the outdoors, surfing, climbing, reading and cooking nutritious and fun to eat meals. I hope to continue the journey of providing a safe space for individuals where healing can occur for years to come. I offer sessions both early in the morning (5am - 7am) and later in the evening (6pm - 9pm) to accommodate those who work nine to five or those who just prefer early morning or evening therapy sessions.

I bring both professional knowledge and lived experience to my work as a therapist. Living with a Bipolar I diagnosis has given me firsthand insight into the challenges of navigating mental health systems, stigma, and the ways these experiences can affect identity, relationships, and everyday life. This perspective allows me to meet each client with empathy, genuine curiosity, and respect for the meaning they make of their experiences. I am a shamanic clinician, which has been largely shaped and inspired by experiences with what’s often referred to as mania or psychosis. Perception is central to my therapeutic approach. Our histories, emotions, environments, and nervous-system states can all influence what we notice, how we interpret events, and how we respond. By exploring these patterns without judgment, I help clients expand their awareness, consider new perspectives, and develop greater choice in how they relate to themselves and the world around them. My professional experience includes psychiatric residential treatment, addiction medicine, youth detention, and private practice. I integrate somatic and sensory-based approaches (including brainspotting, meditation, drumming, sound therapy, aromatherapy, guided visualization, and shamanic-inspired practices) to support emotional processing and nervous-system regulation. I also emphasize nature, nutrition, sleep hygiene, and other foundations of whole-person wellness. From Grow Therapy's Leadership: "Based on your exceptional client engagement and outstanding care, you’ve officially qualified as a 2026 Grow Therapy Thriver! 🎉 (roughly 700 out of 25,000+ providers) This recognition reflects the meaningful relationships you build with clients from the start and the trust you inspire through your work. Becoming a Thriver places you among a select group of providers who set the tone for excellence across the Grow platform. We’re honored to celebrate this milestone with you."

I graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and furthered my education at Antioch University- Los Angeles, where I obtained a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy. As part of my private practice, I provide therapy to both individuals and couples online. I combine the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Humanistic approach in my practice. With that said, I tailor the methods I use in treatment to each client's specific needs. Welcome, I’m Sam Moglen, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing therapy for individuals throughout California and Florida via online sessions. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by grief, anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I integrate EMDR, somatic therapy, and nervous system-based approaches to help you process difficult experiences and shift patterns that no longer serve you. I offer a space where your pain can soften, your story can unfold gently, and you can be met with warmth and compassion without judgment. I draw from CBT, TF-CBT, MI, mindfulness, and person-centered, holistic practices — not as rigid techniques, but as tools we weave into the moments when you need grounding, clarity, or a way to steady yourself. Over time, your voice gets stronger. Your patterns make more sense. And the parts of you that learned to survive begin to feel safe enough to soften.

I’m Dr. Andy Davis, a licensed psychologist with 18 years of experience in the mental health field. Thirteen of those years were spent serving in the U.S. Air Force, where I had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. My clinical focus includes depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress, grief, personality disorders, LGBTQ+ issues, and concerns related to sex and pornography addiction. As a sex-positive therapist, I provide a safe and affirming environment for clients to explore sensitive areas of their lives without fear of judgment. My therapeutic style is both solutions-focused and rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). I believe therapy should be proactive and goal-driven, helping clients not only gain insight but also develop strategies for change. Clients often describe me as direct and honest, while also compassionate and collaborative—I strive to give practical feedback and advice that can be applied both in and outside of sessions. I especially enjoy working with veterans, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and young adults. These groups often face unique challenges, and I consider it an honor to walk alongside them as they navigate life’s complexities. In addition to my clinical work, I have an extensive background in clinical research. While serving in the Air Force, I conducted sleep studies and developed modern treatment approaches for PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. This research continues to inform my practice, and I place strong emphasis on developing healthy routines, quality sleep schedules, and consistent self-care as foundations for mental health. I often work with clients to build structure into daily life, recognizing these habits play a powerful role in resilience and long-term well-being. Above all, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to face challenges, discover new perspectives, and build lasting resilience.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that something isn't OK right now. That something might be new, or it might have been around a long time. You might be able to describe it perfectly, or you might just feel off without knowing why. Either way — you're here, and that's the only thing that matters right now. I start from wherever you are. No assumptions, no judgments, no one-size-fits-all approach. Just a genuine desire to understand you — what's brought you here, what you're carrying, and what you're hoping for. Therapy with me — whether you're coming alone or with a partner — tends to be honest and occasionally even a little lighthearted. The human experience isn't black and white, and neither is the work we'll do together. What stays consistent is that you'll have a space that belongs to you, where nothing you say or feel changes how I show up for you. For couples, that space belongs to both of you equally. I don't take sides. What I do is help you see the pattern you're both caught in — because most of the time it's the cycle doing the damage, not each other. When that shifts, something else becomes possible. No matter what it is you are navigating — depression, relationships, identity, or the gap between how you show up and how you actually feel inside — you don't have to have it figured out to reach out.

These can be big or small, this is your life and your time, I am here to help you figure out what isn't working quite right. I am Dr. Audrey Levy. I live on a boat, and my private practice hours are available 24/7 by appointment only. I also make house calls. I am experienced in helping my clients deal with issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Stress Reduction, Loss and Grief Recovery, Substance Abuse, Anger Management and Crisis Counseling. I provide a calm, empathetic, and nurturing environment where you will feel heard, and most importantly, understood. Together we will work on ways to help you understand your feelings and compulsions. My grieving clients experience closure through writing letters to their loved ones who have died. This letter writing is effective for all forms of loss. Reading the letters aloud is very healing as it encourages acceptance, and permits moving on to build a life filled with love and laughter. As a Doctor of Psychology and psychotherapist for 45+ years, I've dealt with my own grief and loss by writing the nonfiction book, "Doggie Wisdom for Humans: Advice from Dogs for Humans of All Ages," and an autobiographical fiction series, "The Adventures of the Angel Oleo." I hope you have an opportunity to read my books and that I get to help you.

I am a straight-forward but empathic therapist, who also appreciates the same from her clients. I also believe in the social work mission of starting where the client is, so sessions are based upon that analogy. I have experience in many areas, including hospital, foster care, group homes, forensics, Veterans, home health, etc. I received my Masters of Social Science Administration from Case Western Reserve Univerity, and my Doctorate of Psychology from California Southern University. Although I have a doctorate degree, my scope of practice does not fall under psychological testing, pharmacological practices, nor community services. I only do individual therapy so if you need case management (such as letters), family/couples therapy, psychologicial testing, or medication, please refer to those licensed or practicing in those areas.

Life is hard. Adulting is relentless. It’s so easy to lose focus on yourself when you are so busy with work, paying bills, and caring for others. You go from feeling that slight tinge of pride in being needed at first to stressed and anxious, then frustrated and overwhelmed, to finally depressed, resentful...and dare I say hopeless. Running in this rat race of life can feel lonely, but you are not alone, and you certainly do not have to go through this alone. Sometimes stigma and fear of not wanting to burden friends/family with your problems can discourage you from reaching out for help. Enter....me!.....Hello! My name is Christine. I am a licensed clinical social worker who has provided individual and group therapy to kids ages 6-18, college students, and adults. I've also treated patients in a psychiatric hospital experiencing homicidal/suicidal/psychotic crisis. I have experience with perinatal/postpartum depression and anxiety for both moms and dads. I like to use relatability and humor in keeping conversations real while developing an open and honest relationship with my clients. I specialize in work/life burnout, anxiety, stress, depression, recovering from divorce, crisis, grief, parenting struggles, and perinatal/postpartum depression (having gone through it twice myself). My approach is client-centered, strength-based, and solution-focused. It's scary sharing your innermost thoughts and allowing yourself to be vulnerable. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, safe space where you can unpack life’s stress with someone who is non-judgmental, accepting, honest, and empathetic, so you feel heard and seen. You matter. I would be honored to collaborate with you to listen with compassion, guide you in identifying and understanding your behavior and thought patterns, educate you on why/how that happens, teach coping skills, and help you prioritize yourself while creating meaningful and positive change. Because you deserve it.

Hi! My name is Crystal Villanueva and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Southern California and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I have 14 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, couples, and children experiencing the challenges of anxiety, depression, grief, family conflict, relationship challenges, and intimate partner violence. My approach to therapy is grounded in the spirit of Humanistic therapy. Humanistic Therapy is based on the core belief that people are good at heart and capable of making the right choices for themselves. In therapy, this belief leads me to focus on each individual’s unique point of view and how this view can impact their choices. It further emphasizes the importance of being our authentic selves to live the most fulfilling life. I strive to create a safe environment to help clients feel comfortable to express their thoughts/emotions. I am genuine, friendly, nonjudgmental, empathetic, and interactive. I believe I am easy to talk to as I am casual in my style, but direct and focused when it comes to our work together. My journey to becoming a therapist began with my own therapy that I received as a youth and young adult; it was life-changing. I worked with a therapist that was completely accepting and non-judgmental of my faults/shortcomings and helped me work past and accept them. Because of this experience, I wanted to give back and provide the same nonjudgment safe space, and acceptance to others.

I specialize in holding space for the deep-thinkers and cycle-breakers, the individuals who have spent a lifetime looking inward and dismantling generational patterns, yet still feel the friction of a world demanding 'more' at the expense of 'being.' My approach combines a lifelong passion for psychology and therapeutic processes with a multicultural, spiritually grounded worldview. As a mother, a doctoral candidate, and a business owner, I don't just teach boundaries; I live them. I am a 'Keturah-sized' bridge in the wellness gap for those who have cycled through therapists searching for a peer who truly sees them. Together, we intentionally move past the '15 tasks by yesterday' mentality and into a strategic, soul-deep architecture of rest, healing, and expansion.

Over human history, people have mostly lived in close-knit communities. This has eroded with the advances in transportation and technology. Most people have lost much of the social support our forebearers enjoyed. Mental Health Professionals have taken on this role in their respective communities and are an excellent resource for you to realize your strengths and improve your well-being. When your car breaks down you take it to a mechanic. When your tooth hurts you see a dentist. When your mental health can use a “tune-up,” see a Mental Health Professional!

I believe in what I do because I know that people can change their circumstances all they need is willingness and a conscious personal awareness. My strengths are adults male/female (relational, self-esteem, domestic abuse, family issues, vocational, work problems/stress, couples, PTSD, trauma)., anxiety, panic attacks, trauma - PTSD. Hi, I’m glad you’re here. ¡Bienvenidos! Starting therapy and meeting someone new can feel a little uncertain. For me, therapy starts with getting to know each other and building confianza, so you can feel comfortable being yourself and telling me what’s really going on. Sometimes we all need un ratito to slow down, breathe, and hear ourselves again. I’m a bilingual English and Spanish speaking therapist, the daughter of immigrants, and a first generation college graduate. My language, culture, family, and the way I was raised have shaped how I see the world and how I approach this work. They’ve also taught me to stay curious about the experiences, relationships, cultures, communities, and environments that have shaped you. I’m also a Certified Nature-Informed Therapist (C-NIT), and nature is an important part of how I approach our work. That doesn’t mean every session has to be about nature or that you need to be outdoors. We might use grounding, natural imagery, mindfulness, nervous system awareness, or find ways for you to connect with nature in your own surroundings between sessions. Sometimes it’s simply about slowing things down enough to notice what’s happening inside of you. You may be used to being the one who keeps going, figures things out, or takes care of everyone else. Maybe lately you don’t quite feel like yourself. Maybe you’re anxious, tired, going through a transition, questioning a relationship, or realizing there are things you’ve carried for a long time that you finally want to understand.

I’m a millennial therapist who believes therapy can be meaningful and transformative without feeling overly intimidating. I want therapy to feel like a space where you can show up exactly as you are...whether you need to unpack something heavy, celebrate a win, laugh at the chaos of life, or admit that you have absolutely no idea what you’re doing right now. My goal is to create a space that feels comfortable and judgment-free while still helping you challenge patterns that may no longer be serving you. We can talk about boundaries, anxiety, relationships, people-pleasing, self-esteem, life transitions, or simply the overwhelming pressure of trying to have everything figured out.

It takes courage to begin counseling. Right now, as you search for the "right therapist", it may feel a bit like a “dating app” — scrolling through profiles, hoping to find the right person. I understand how overwhelming that can feel. Starting therapy can feel daunting. My role is to create a safe, comfortable, and engaging space where you feel understood — and where you feel like you’re truly getting somewhere. My counseling style feels more like a meaningful conversation than a formal question-and-answer session. I blend clinical expertise and experience with humor, honesty, and heart. I offer reflection, personal insight, and practical tools that help clients create real changes in their lives and relationships. As an experienced clinical social worker, I taught at the USC School of Social Work, training the next generation of therapists. I have spoken at conferences across the country for therapists and medical professionals, and I taught “Making Marriage Work” for 10 years at American Jewish University. I have helped individuals and couples strengthen their relationships through clearer communication, deeper emotional connection, and practical strategies. I am also a Certified Sex Therapist. On the Grow platform, I currently accept individual clients (only) seeking support with sexual concerns, challenges and compulsive sexual behaviors. As a private pay therapist on Grow, I am open to working with couples. In addition to my clinical work, I have long been committed to volunteer service. For many years, I have worked with the Red Cross providing Disaster Mental Health support to individuals experiencing profound trauma. I am deeply grateful to be able to offer compassionate care in these critical moments.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in California. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across California from San Francisco to San Diego! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in California.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Self Esteem, is filtering therapists in California that work with patients with similar concerns.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
