Hi, I’m Ebonie. I’ve been a therapist for 14 years, and my style is down-to-earth, compassionate, and real. My goal is to create a safe, honest space where you can finally resolve the issues that are weighing you down. I don’t just sit back and nod — I’m engaged, I ask meaningful questions, and I help you get to the heart of what’s really going on. Every client is unique, and I adapt my approach to fit your needs. Whether you’re working through anxiety, healing from trauma, facing a life transition, or simply feeling stuck, I’ll bring both practical tools and proven methods to support your growth. Above all, I show up consistently and authentically, and I never take your trust for granted. One approach I use is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing). It’s a highly researched therapy that helps people process painful memories so they no longer feel as overwhelming. With gentle tools like eye movements or tapping, your brain can reprocess old experiences in a healthier way. The memory doesn’t disappear, but the emotional weight it carries often does. EMDR has been shown to help with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and more. We always go at your pace, and I’ll walk with you step by step. Book an appointment today.

Hello, and congratulations on taking this step. Reaching out takes awareness, courage, and a real commitment to change — it requires to invite someone into your struggles. I've spent over 25 years working in behavioral health as a clinician, clinical supervisor, and clinical director. My career has taken me from a faith-based agency in New England to a community behavioral health center in northeastern Arizona, where I eventually led clinical services for 12 years, to providing counseling at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base — an experience that deepened my respect for military members and their families. I now own a private practice in Sahuarita, Arizona. My work focuses on helping individuals navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. I also welcome working with military veterans, people of faith, and individuals and families facing serious illness. In the spring of 2025, I was diagnosed with cancer. I have since completed treatment and am now cancer free — and that experience gave me a much deeper appreciation for what it means to face something that reshapes your world. I don't see therapy as simply treating a diagnosis. I see it as working with you as a whole person — your strengths, fears, hopes, values, pain, and goals. I'll listen carefully, but I'll also be active: helping you identify patterns, understand difficult thoughts and emotions, build coping skills, and take meaningful steps forward. I won't claim to be the expert on your life. My role is to walk alongside you and help guide the change process at a pace that feels respectful and manageable. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor providing telehealth services to clients in Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, and Oregon. I hold a master's degree in counseling with a specialization in Trauma, Abuse, and Deprivation, and I work with individuals navigating trauma, compulsive and problematic sexual behaviors, relationship concerns, addiction, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. I also provide affirming care for LGBTQIA2+ individuals and couples. My advanced clinical training includes certification as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), Relational Addiction and Complex Trauma Specialist (RACS), and Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider (CSOPT). My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities, including The Meadows Model, Post-Induction Therapy (PIT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Treatment is individualized to meet each client's unique experiences, goals, and strengths. Effective therapy begins with understanding the whole person rather than focusing solely on symptoms. While addressing immediate concerns is important, lasting change often requires exploring the underlying experiences, beliefs, attachment patterns, and coping strategies that contribute to present-day struggles. By identifying and addressing these root causes, therapy can reduce current distress while building greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and healthier patterns for the future. My goal is to help clients not only find relief from today's challenges but also develop the insight and skills needed to navigate future obstacles with confidence and lasting growth.

If you’ve tried therapy and still feel stuck, the approach may be the problem, not you. Many of my clients have already done “the work,” and talking through their struggles wasn’t enough. They needed a more targeted treatment from the start. If you know your thoughts aren’t rational but can’t stop them, feel trapped by routines you can’t break, are avoiding more of your life to manage anxiety, or have withdrawn and lost motivation, that’s what I treat. I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), a form of exposure therapy, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), behavioral activation, and Habit Reversal Training. These are structured, evidence-based treatments, and every session is practical, so you leave with tools you can use right away. I work with adults dealing with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in all its forms, including intrusive thoughts, contamination fears, harm and relationship OCD, “Pure O,” and taboo themes that feel shameful or out of character. There’s no thought too disturbing to bring to me. I also treat panic disorder, agoraphobia, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, health anxiety, depression, including depression that hasn’t responded to earlier treatment, skin picking (dermatillomania), hair pulling (trichotillomania), and hoarding disorder. I’m warm and direct. I’ll be honest about what treatment involves, what progress realistically looks like, and whether I’m the right fit. If I’m not, I’ll point you to someone who is. ERP asks you to face things you’ve been avoiding, and I’ll guide you at a pace that works for you. The people who do best with me are done managing symptoms and ready to change them. If that’s where you are, reach out.

Hi, my name is Mark. Thank you for considering me as your therapist. It would be my pleasure to get to work with you! I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist; that means that not only do I work with individuals who experience all kinds of mental health challenges, but I also specialize in systemic, or relational therapy - working with couples, families & groups. I am a Presidential Member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and served as a Chaplin, at a hospital. If you want your faith included in your therapy, please let me know; your sessions will be as "spiritual" as you'd like, and no more. I have been providing therapy and counseling since 2016, and most recently worked as the therapy manager for a clinic that has four locations. Though I have worked with all populations of all ages, young kids have trouble sitting still in front of a camera. Children under the age of 15 are better served in an office setting. I have been with my amazing wife for over 37 years, and have two wonderful adult children. I enjoy sports, music and all kinds of "outdoorzie" stuff. I most of all just enjoy time with my family. Most of my clients profess to sincerely enjoy working with me; I tend to connect with my clients on a deeper level, and in a more meaningful way, than some other therapists. Many say that they or their children work better with me than any other therapist, counselor or doctor they've experienced. I am humbled and immensely grateful for their kind words. I offer my clients a soft place to fall in their hurts and struggles while providing them a firm place to stand in their healing and growth. Always, in a judgment-free way.

I am a therapist who specializes in Addiction Recovery, Anxiety and Depressive Disorders. I prefer a Biopsychosocial approach to therapy. I recognize that past trauma, maladaptive thought patterns and environment contribute greatly to how we perceive others and how we "show up" in the world. My job is to challenge thought patterns and support growth while clients empower themselves to make change and develop strategies to improve circumstances.

Yes! If you use UnitedHealthcare StudentResources you’ll be asked to verify your Member ID at the time you book the appointment. However, if you don’t have UnitedHealthcare StudentResources you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
