I am a queer, non-binary clinician with ADHD, and I am passionate about helping people to live their most authentic and meaningful lives. I take a radical feminist and anti-capitalist approach to therapy, exploring the impact that oppression and discrimination has on one's mental health and well-being. I believe each client is the expert of their own lives, and I work in collaboration with my clients to find the treatment approach that works best for them.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will be focused on helping me to get a full picture of my client, including not only presenting symptoms/problems, but also relevant factors such as social supports, family structure, medical/health history, trauma, strengths, and important values/beliefs. I want to know what your experiences have been thus far with therapy, and if there is anything I need to know to best serve you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am knowledgable of the needs of neurodivergent clients, including accommodating communication styles, use of visual aids, and providing clear session structure when needed. I am skilled with rapport building, expressing compassion, and reflecting client strengths. I am a certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP-II), and I respect client self-determination when it comes to addressing trauma in therapy. I am also trained to assess for readiness for hormone replacement therapy and provide HRT letters for adolescents and adults.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work primarily with adolescents and young adults, ages 13-35. I work best with people in the LGBTQ+ community and/or who are neurodivergent, including ADHD and Autism. I also enjoy working with people with substance use disorders, complex trauma, and dissociative symptoms.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients to explore their values and use those values to build a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT distress tolerance skills to help clients to cope with overwhelming emotions and reduce harmful behaviors such as self harm, substance use, angers outbursts, etc. I also teach emotion regulation skills to help clients to understand the function of their emotions and how emotions influence behaviors.

Gender-affirming therapy

I help my clients to understand their individual gender identity, deconstruct traditional ideas about masculinity/femininity, increase gender-affirming social support, and embrace feelings of gender euphoria.

Narrative

Narrative therapy looks at how our life experiences have shaped our core beliefs about ourselves and the world. I help clients to identify how limiting core beliefs impact their behavior and motivation, and help to develop more balanced and adaptive core beliefs.

Somatic

I use somatic therapy to help clients to build awareness of where they feel emotions in their body, and teaching body-based relaxation skills to alleviate symptoms related to anxiety, trauma and chronic pain.
