Hello and Good Morning! I'm a Licensed Psychologist based in Arizona. I received my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from Midwestern University, Glendale in 2020. I have 5 years of trained experience, between 2016-2021, and 2 years licensed experience since 2023. I help individuals struggling with experiences of stress, depression, anxiety, anger, and other concerns, to empower them to overcome barriers and build a life they want.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

First sessions generally have a lot of questions, related to understanding your specific experiences and concerns that have brought you in for support and care. It is a fantastic opportunity for us to explore concerns, answer questions, and get a general sense for how we can work together to address your specific concerns/needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with a variety of individuals throughout the years, I have adopted a method that encourages direct participation, where treatment options can be customized to individual needs and specific concerns. We explore the history of the concerns and discover new avenues for an individual to explore.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I assist teenagers, young adults, and general adults (14-64), with personal exploration, emotional regulation, trauma processing, anxiety management, stress management, and experiences of depression. My main area is in trauma work, with a major focus on empowerment and personal growth related to overcoming the negative impact stress and trauma have on individuals.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I have been using ACT for about 4 years. I enjoy using ACT the most because it looks at a person from multiple angles, and providing a fuller picture of who they are and who they want to be. It provides a flexible way to explore qualities you value and discover new insights within yourself.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I have been using CPT for about 5 years. I use CPT to help empower individuals with histories of trauma, excessive stress, and current/active distress from recent trauma. It helps clients challenge negative thinking patterns and develop flexible thinking to overcome the impact of their trauma experience.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I was trained in DBT about 5 years ago, and I do DBT-Informed care. I use relevant sections to enhance care for clients who would benefit from Distress Tolerance (improved stress response skills), Emotional Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness (navigating different relationships and communication of needs/emotions).

Psychoeducation

I use psychoeducation to enhance treatment for clients who choose to ask insightful questions and are exploring their experiences with a desire to understand the history, the impact, and the influence situations or moods/feelings have on our lives. Understanding ourselves can be the most impactful in being able to choose what we want to change or what we want to embrace.
