Hello everyone! My name is Pablo and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Arizona. I am an Army veteran and after my time in service, I received my Masters from Grand Canyon University and have been practicing therapy for about 3 years. I have about eight years overall experience in mental health working with a variety of clients from Serious Mental Illness (SMI) population to providing support to community members within Pima and Pinal County as a Co-Responder, working alongside Pinal County Sheriff and Tucson Police Department. Beyond therapy, I'm an avid outdoor enthusiast, finding joy in hiking and weight lifting. My passion for Jiu Jitsu keeps me grounded, and I nurture my spirit through my faith. Though my social circle is small, I intentionally invest my time in cultivating healthy relationships with family and loved ones, cherishing these connections deeply.
Welcome to your first session! Our time together is a safe place where confidentiality is paramount; what's shared here stays here. We'll focus on building trust and rapport, creating a strong therapeutic relationship. I'll meet you exactly where you are in your journey, ordering a holistic approach that considers your mind, body, and spirit. Together, we'll set personal goals that transcend traditional talk therapy, recognizing the interconnection of all aspects of your being. Let's embark on this journey to growth and healing together.
I believe my greatest strengths as a therapist lie in my empathic nature and holistic approach. I'm dedicated to understanding my client's experiences deeply and addressing their needs from a mind-body-spirit perspective. With a focus on experiential therapy, I ensure that sessions are meaningful and interactive. I'm always prepared and patient, ready to guide and teach, but also willing to challenge my clients to embrace the idea of seeing themselves as the expert of their experience, but at times, encourage them to see a different perspective when obstacles and/or blind spots appear along the way.
As a bilingual mental health professional, I am dedicated to supporting adolescents and adults through overwhelming life experiences and posttraumatic stress. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can feel vulnerable and embark on their healing journey. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by the military, veterans, and first responders, I am committed to addressing the stigma around mental health within these communities. By fostering trust and hope, I aim to guide clients toward posttraumatic growth, much like Batman's utility belt—equipping and supporting them every step of the way. Together, we will actively work to create an environment where healing and growth are not only possible but inevitable. I believe clients are the experts in their own lives, and I am here to empower them to make proactive decisions that lead to real healing.
In my practice, I utilize a trauma-informed approach to better understand and address emotional wounding through a biopsychosocial lens. My clients benefit from a person-centered, solution-focused, and holistic experience. This means that I prioritize their individual needs, strengths, and goals, fostering a collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship. By focusing on solutions and leveraging each client’s inherent resilience, I help them navigate their healing journey with greater confidence and hope. My holistic approach ensures that all aspects of their well-being are considered, promoting a balanced and sustainable path to recovery.
