Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Tucson, Arizona. I received my Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Brigham Young University and have been practicing for 25 years. While my focus has been working with adolescents, I also have extensive experience with all ages of adults. I bring a conservative and compassionate approach to the therapy session. You and your time is valuable and I want to respect that. Clients consistently give me excellent ratings and see marked improvement in their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then I will listen to your story. I will seek to understand your perspective. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions where I will introduce you to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), make goals, and work with you toward a brighter future. I want you to improve quickly in the fewest sessions possible.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with adolescents for over 25 years as a therapist as a sports coach and as a high school counselor, I've developed insight and a skill set to help (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to treat a wide range of problems with a large degree of success. My CBT treatments may involve breathing exercises and a focus on mindfulness. Patients are required to make goals and do some work outside of the session. A commitment to some homework is an expectation and required for success.

Christian Counseling

At clients request I am comfortable incorporating Christian principles, scriptures and faith in Christ as part of the treatment approach.
