I join with my clients to develop a plan which will result in a more effective way of managing negative or distorted thought patterns. We will examine closely situations that result in strong emotional feelings. Utilizing new methods of coping results in a reduction of negative moods, improved self esteem and the ability to utilize helpful tools in the future.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will include a conversation outlining client's background, current situations, pertinent past events and the client's goals for treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe that my life has been filled with so many difficult situations which I have learned to cope with through therapy. I became a therapist to give a positive purpose to these experiences that I can share with others. These experiences better enable me to empathize or join with the client, helping to find tools that result in a positive outcome. Working together using proven treatment methodologies, we can find a path to calm centeredness, joy and purpose.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Research shows Cognitive Behavioral Therapy brings the best results. We will examine reoccurring thoughts, expose distortions and reframe the thoughts more accurately. By changing your thinking patterns, you will recognize the connection between your thoughts and resulting feelings. Reframing thoughts will result in less depression and anxiety in you life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

The focus of our therapy will be finding solutions rather than reanalyzing the details causing the problem(s). We will replace behaviors that have been unsuccessful with new solutions.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-Based therapy includes present in the moment awareness, meditation, and breathing techniques to help take attention from the negative thought patterns which lead to depression and anxiety.
