With over 7 years of experience I specialize in taking a unique approach to treatment by understanding that each persons story and experience is different and unique. I utilize a culturally competent, empathetic and strengths based approach to understand each person. If you are ready to take a journey of healing, self discovery, and positive change, I am here to help facilitate and support you through the next and best phase of your life. The goal is to provide a compassionate and nonjudgmental safe space for you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients can expect to explore their why or therapy now, and ways they would like to start thinking about their mental health goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength is knowing how to listen to someone's unique experience as just that...unique. No two persons are alike and therefore I approach each persons story with interventions appropriate to their uniqueness.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

In Motivational Interviewing (MI), I work collaboratively with clients to explore their ambivalence about change, helping them uncover their own motivations and build confidence in their ability to take action. By using open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirmations, I create a supportive environment that fosters self-awareness and empowers clients to articulate their goals and values.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a therapist, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that contribute to their distress. Together, we explore the connections between thoughts, feelings, and actions, working to reframe negative thinking patterns and develop healthier coping strategies.

Psychodynamic

In Psychodynamic therapy, I help clients explore the unconscious patterns, past experiences, and relational dynamics that influence their current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By fostering a safe and reflective space, I guide clients in uncovering unresolved conflicts, deep-seated emotions, and recurring themes in their lives.

Psychoeducation

In psychoeducation, I provide clients with clear, relevant information to help them understand their mental health concerns, the therapeutic process, and effective coping strategies. By tailoring explanations to their unique needs and using accessible language, I empower clients to feel more informed and capable in managing their challenges.
