New to Grow
Hello and welcome! My name is Sal Jaimez and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been working in mental health since 2016 and have worked with clients of all ages, with majority of my career supporting adults and adolescents. I am excited to continue to work with clients of all backgrounds as I meet you where you are to support you in reaching your personal goals.
In the first session expect us to go over some norms and set expectations for treatment in order to ground us in our work together. Also expect some questions to get to know you and you are encouraged to ask questions as well, in order to build a therapeutic relationship. We will also be completing the intake reviewing the assessment tools you completed and creating a therapeutic goal to help guide and focus future sessions.
A few of my greatest strengths I believe is making my clients feel welcomed and comfortable. I do my best to meet you where you are and ensure that I am thoughtfully and actively listening to where you want your treatment goals to be. I do my best to make our sessions feel light hearted, but also very productive.
I work very well with someone who is ready to make a positive change in their life, and is open to going at their own pace. I will always make sure to meet you where you are at, and I will utilize all your strengths to ensure we support you in achieving your overall mental health and life goals along the way.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a way to assist my clients in understanding how our actions, thoughts, and feelings are all inter connected to demonstrate how decisions are made in our day to day lives. With that, I assist my clients in understanding how we can make positive changes to improve quality of life.
