Hello! I am a licensed mental health counselor that has been actively practicing with a variety of ages and issues for the past 15 years. The bulk of my work has been with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, group, and couple's counseling work. I have done a large amount of extra training in trauma work, neurodivergence, attachment and relational issues. I blend several modalities in order to provide a person centered, strengths-based approach that best fits the individual client. I am a believer that the tools to heal are already inherently inside of all of us, and work to help you find your way to your stability, growth, and comfort.

Many people come to therapy carrying experiences they've never told another person. Whether you're living with anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, chronic pain, or navigating life as a neurodivergent person, you don't have to carry it alone anymore. I work with children, teens, and adults to create a space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. Many of my clients have spent years masking who they are, minimizing their pain, or believing they have to handle everything on their own. Others carry experiences they worry are "too much" to share. In our work together, you don't have to hide parts of yourself or worry about being judged or misunderstood. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to be honest, even about the things you've never said out loud. Whether you're processing trauma, navigating difficult life experiences, learning to live with chronic illness, or discovering what it means to be neurodivergent, we'll move at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we'll build practical coping skills, deepen self-understanding, and work toward a life where you feel more connected, empowered, and less alone.

I have over 10 years of experience as a mental health therapist. I primarily work with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and family or relationship difficulties. Many clients seek treatment because they feel overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or unsure how to manage the challenges they’re facing. My approach is structured and evidence‑based. I focus on helping you understand the factors contributing to your symptoms and developing clear, practical strategies for change. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and mindfulness‑based interventions to support emotional regulation, improve coping skills, and build healthier behavioral patterns. Accountability is an important part of the work we do together. I will support you, but I will also provide direct feedback and encourage consistent follow‑through on the changes you identify as important. Progress requires active participation, and I work best with clients who are ready to take responsibility for implementing new skills and strategies between sessions. My Style is: Straightforward – Honest and clear, but always respectful. Practical – Tools that work in everyday life, not just theory. Explorative – Space to reflect deeply in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Encouraging – Support that helps you feel capable, validated, and motivated to change. Accountability-focused – Growth comes from owning your choices and committing to real change. This works well if you are willing to: • Look at your own patterns and find areas for growth and change • Practice new skills between our sessions and create a plan for change • Stay open to feedback, exploration, and trying approaches that fit your unique needs

Thank you for sharing information about yourself. I'm so happy that you reached out for help. I am Michael Creech, a licensed therapist. My goal is to meet you where you are by bringing a compassionate approach backed by formal training and experience and be a part of your goals in the change process. I am very personable as well as professional and I do not believe in one-sided relationships. I have a multidisciplinary, eclectic approach to therapy in which I utilize techniques and principles from a variety of modalities to include Christian based. My counseling is geared toward treating the whole person from a biopsychosocial spiritual standpoint. I view counseling as a calling and not as a career and that it is a collaborative effort in which I learn and grow as a result of every interaction. My clients describe me as a “good listener” and as someone who “makes me think”. Some of the experiences that have contributed to my professional identity and approach to mental health treatment are my formal education at Pensacola Christian College where I received a BA in Pastoral Ministry and Liberty University where I received a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked as a therapist under regulatory agencies for 6 years and have worked in Christian Ministry since my ministerial ordination in 2003. Demographics I have served have included inpatient and outpatient care, private practice, substance abuse issues, psychotic spectrum disorders, gender identity issues, personality disorders, sex addiction, family and relationship issues, depression, anxiety, PTSD, Spirituality, and men’s issues. My experiences as a combat military veteran, teacher, father, husband, and a person who has experienced my own traumas and failures have contributed to my professional development. I look forward to getting to know you!

Hi! I'm a queer feminist who cares deeply about uplifting my community. I believe that my job is all about helping others be unapologetically themselves. I do not believe in the concept of "cringe" and I encourage my clients to really examine shame and unpack how this emotion has attached so deeply into our understanding of self. I have been serving the queer, neurodivergent, sex-positive, and polyamorous community for years. If you fall under with any of those or are wondering if you do, you're in the right place!

Hi, I'm Sara. I help individuals caught in controlling and abusive relationships see through the gaslighting, reconnect with their intuition, and shift from survival to self-trust. I also provide individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, infertility and perinatal mood disorders, with the tools they need to begin healing. I am authentically me, and I show up as a human first. I believe everyone carries their own stories, strengths, and struggles. I meet each person with openness and without judgment. I understand difficult things because I've lived through them. I bring personal, lived experience with trauma, neurodivergence, complex family dynamics, and the ripple effects addiction can have on those close to it. This isn't just clinical knowledge to me, it's something I've walked through myself. In a world that can feel unsafe or unwelcoming to those who are "different," I strive to be a safe place for you. My goal is simple: to help you feel truly seen, heard, and feel better. Your healing and your journey are my passion. I’ve been married to my best friend for over 26 years, and together we have an adult daughter, two beloved fur babies, and tortoise. Outside of the therapy room, you’ll most likely find me out in nature, kayaking, walking trails, or simply enjoying the calm. My family and I love playing all kinds of board games, and I also enjoy reading, painting, and watching movies or mindless TV when I need to recharge. At the heart of everything I do is a deep belief that healing happens in safe, authentic connection and I am honored every time someone invites me to be part of that journey.

Hello! My name is Max Croteau and I have had the pleasure of being a licensed professional counselor for almost 10 years now. In this time, I have been able to mold my style of understanding, accepting while also challenging and motivational into a successful model of growth and change for those who choose to work with me. I truly am a believer that therapy can sometimes be a side-by-side process, or it can be a process where one guides and the other follows, but ultimately the choice is up to you. I don’t want you to live a life that I tell you to live. I want to help you find a life that is truly a genuine fit for yourself and one that you can see yourself living without even having to think about it. I’ve specialized in addiction, OCD, trauma therapy, family and couples counseling and various other topics in the world of mental health. One important factor that I have found is that each person has their own individual story and their journey will be just as individualized. No matter how similar, we are all different. A cookie cutter approach to the rest of your life is not something that you will get from me. I will truly meet you where you are and work with you every step of the way to achieve the success that you are looking for. I always guarantee every person I work with that therapy may not be easy, but in the end, it will be incredibly worthwhile. I’d love to start and/or continue that journey. Growth has no final destination, just the journey. It’s up to you what path you’d like to take.

Clients shouldn't have to be in therapy forever! Together, we'll co-create a balanced approach combining active listening with practical techniques, helping you reclaim your narrative and overcome obstacles. My clinical and holistic approach aims for deeper alignment and fulfillment—think more water, less soda. As an LCSW, I'm trained in EMDR, certified in Theta Healing, Reiki, Transformational Life Coaching, and Therapeutic Touch, and am a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Hypnotherapy, and Time Line Therapy. I provide a compassionate, judgment-free space to explore your wants, needs, and emotions. You know yourself best, and our work is about uncovering your truths rather than imposing mine. Together, we'll determine the tools and approaches that best suit your needs, ensuring you feel heard, validated, and empowered. The goal is to help you confidently manage challenges independently over time. We'll walk side-by-side, with you gradually taking the lead and me offering steady support. If you have pressing concerns, those always take precedence. Our sessions focus on understanding HOW you think, not just WHAT you think, exploring both conscious and unconscious beliefs and emotions. You'll leave with clear, actionable steps, such as mindfulness exercises, creative writing prompts, meditation, and breathwork techniques to regulate emotions and reclaim your narrative. Therapy isn't about fixing what's "broken" but enhancing alignment and fulfillment while overcoming obstacles. By focusing on your goals and measuring progress, we can eliminate stigma, leaving shame behind and empowering you toward greater self-awareness and fulfillment.

I specialize in supporting clients through life transitions and helping them process recent stressors that may feel overwhelming or disruptive. Hello, my name is Ace (they/them or ze/hir pronouns) and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in the intersections of neurodivergence, LGBTQ+ identity, and disability. Have you ever wished you could talk about your concerns without having to give a 101 level lecture first? Are you struggling to find treatment as an Autistic adult or an adult with ADHD? Whether you're undiagnosed, questioning, newly diagnosed, or just looking for some extra support, I'm here to meet you where you're at with tools and strategies that work. I'm a queer, Autistic, non-binary psychologist of color and I've spent the last seven years learning to provide support to members of my communities as they navigate systems of care not built for us. I believe that therapy should be collaborative and consensual, that evidence-based treatment must honor culture and neurotype, and that gender-affirming care is a human right. If you're struggling to build a system of supports and accommodations that will allow you to thrive, if you're questioning your gender or sexuality and need a guide, or if you're just looking for a safer space to process the everyday stresses of your life. I'm a Certified EMDR therapist and PMH-C clinician providing specialized trauma therapy in Arizona, Colorado, and Washington for first responders and individuals navigating perinatal mental health challenges, PTSD, and chronic stress. Many of my clients appear fine on the outside — capable, put-together, managing it all — while feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally stuck underneath. My practice focuses on treating PTSD, birth trauma, postpartum depression and anxiety, religious trauma, and occupational stress using EMDR and evidence-based, trauma-informed care. I understand how trauma and nervous system dysregulation can leave you feeling constantly on edge, emotionally reactive, or disconnected from yourself — whether that shows up through the demands of first responder work, the transition into parenthood, or experiences further back. Through EMDR, I help clients reduce triggers, process unresolved trauma, regulate their nervous system, and experience deep, lasting healing — so you can feel stable, confident, and like yourself again.

Hi, I'm Carla, and I'm glad you're here. Reaching out for therapy isn't always easy, and I believe finding the right therapist is an important first step. I work with women who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, burnout, low self-esteem, or the constant pressure of trying to hold everything together. Whether you're balancing work, family, relationships, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, you don't have to navigate it alone. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself without fear of judgment. At the same time, I believe therapy should be practical. I won't just listen; we'll work together to understand what's keeping you stuck, identify patterns that are no longer serving you, and develop realistic strategies you can use in your everyday life. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and person-centered techniques, tailoring each session to your unique needs and goals. I also value cultural humility and understand how life experiences, family expectations, identity, and personal values can shape the way we experience stress and healing. My goal is to help you feel more confident, develop healthier coping skills, strengthen your self-worth, and create a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling. I believe meaningful change happens one step at a time, and you don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. If you're ready to invest in yourself and start creating lasting change, I'd be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.

I work with clients who are thoughtful, introspective, and motivated to better understand themselves but may feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, self-criticism, or uncertainty about their direction in life. Many people I work with are navigating questions related to identity, relationships, purpose, or major life transitions. My goal is to help clients gain clarity about the patterns influencing their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors so they can move forward with greater confidence and intention. My approach integrates evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These approaches help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop emotional regulation skills, and build practical strategies that improve daily functioning. I also incorporate narrative and reflective techniques that allow clients to explore the personal stories and experiences that shape how they see themselves and the choices they make. An important part of my work involves helping clients move beyond insight and into meaningful action. Therapy often includes identifying automatic thought patterns, practicing grounding and emotional regulation strategies, and experimenting with new behaviors that align with a client’s values and long-term goals. I also use structured check-ins and evidence-based tools to track progress over time. By regularly reviewing mood patterns, emotional changes, and skill development, clients are able to see measurable progress while staying focused on what matters most to them. Clients often describe my approach as collaborative, thoughtful, and practical. Together, we create a space where clients can reflect deeply on their experiences while also developing the tools needed to navigate challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives.

I help high-functioning adults reconnect with themselves and learn to trust their own judgment again. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable adults who have spent years taking care of everyone else while quietly struggling themselves. They often appear successful on the outside but privately feel anxious, emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, or disconnected from who they used to be. You may be recovering from betrayal, navigating a difficult relationship or divorce, struggling with perfectionism or people-pleasing, healing from trauma, or facing a major life transition. Somewhere along the way, you may have begun second-guessing yourself, losing confidence in your instincts, or wondering why life feels so much harder than it looks from the outside. My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. Together, we'll make sense of the patterns keeping you stuck, calm your nervous system, reduce shame, strengthen healthy boundaries, and build the confidence to make choices that align with your values instead of fear or self-doubt. Therapy should leave you feeling understood, supported, and equipped with practical tools that make everyday life feel lighter.

Hello! I am a licensed social worker (LICSW) who has been working in the medical setting for 9 years, helping patients and their families navigate chronic medical conditions. Because of my role at the hospital, I am also a Certified Clinical Transplant Social Worker (CCTSW), meaning I have expertise in organ transplant. I have realized over my time in the hospital setting that the moments that bring me the most fulfillment are the ones where I am engaged 1:1 and providing individuals with support, therapeutic intervention, encouragement, and coaching. I decided to open a therapy practice to allow me to provide this support outside the hospital. To this end, I completed a year-long therapist training program in Expressive Arts Therapy at Seattle's Northwest Creative & Expressive Arts Institute. I am working towards becoming a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT). Outside of work, I love being outdoors with my family, going on adventures with my nieces, thrift-store wandering, having soul-enriching conversations with friends, and finding opportunities to dance.

I grew up in Las Vegas, NV in a big, blended family. During my internship and following graduation, I worked at an inpatient treatment facility for teens dealing with high suicidality, self-harming behaviors, and psychosis. It was during this time that I began to recognize how much work can be done to prevent crises before they strike, rather than trying to figure it all out afterwards. Also, it isn't just big things like suicide that can be prevented-working to decrease stress, anxiety, increase fulfillment..these are worthwhile too. If you feel nervous/weird/awkward/anxious about therapy, that’s normal. All I can say is, you matter. You are an important part of the world. Let’s work together and see if maybe, just maybe, things could get a little better.

We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Washington from Spokane to Tacoma! Yes! If you use Independence Administrators you’ll be asked to verify your Member ID at the time you book the appointment. However, if you don’t have Independence Administrators you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
