I am a therapist based in Southwest Virginia, and a US Navy veteran. I work with adults across a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and anger. I have a particular interest in helping clients better understand and manage anger, whether it shows up as frustration, irritability, or feeling overwhelmed.
My ideal client is someone who is open to self-reflection and ready to better understand their patterns, even if they are not sure where to start. They may feel stuck, reactive, or overwhelmed, and are looking for practical tools alongside deeper insight. I work well with individuals who want a collaborative, honest space where they can talk openly, be challenged when needed, and still feel supported.
In terms of personality, I am grounded, direct, and approachable. I pride myself on being authentic, which can sometimes come off as goofy. I have a wide variety of educational experiences in regards to the human condition and love discussions around a variety of subject matters. I aim to create a space that feels both safe and productive, where clients can be themselves without judgment, but also move toward meaningful change. I value authenticity, humor when appropriate, and a straightforward style that helps clients feel understood while also making real progress.
Welcome — this can be a safe space for you.
With a background in education and current experience as a high school counselor, I understand the challenges individuals and families can face through different stages of life. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, processing difficult emotions, and building healthy coping skills. Whether you are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, or the pressures of academics and sports, my goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout the counseling process.
I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist with a doctorate in MFT and over a decade of clinical experience working with individuals and couples. I take therapy seriously but I don't take myself too seriously — humor has a genuine place in my work when the moment calls for it. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my job is to collaborate with you, not direct you. Outside the therapy room I'm a married guy of over 20 years, an amateur musician, a devoted pet dad, and someone who finds a lot of peace in nature.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I started out my professional journey in Tennessee in 2010. I was licensed in Tennessee in 2015. I moved to New Mexico in 2019 and then to Virginia in 2022. My therapy techniques tend to be eclectic with mainly person centered (focusing on rapport and the therapeutic relationship), cognitive behavioral (looking at thought patterns), and creative techniques. I currently see people virtually but eventually hope to expand to see people in person and also have group therapy.
Hi, I’m Krystal. From an early age, I’ve felt a strong calling to help others, and that passion continues to guide my work today. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May 2020, after completing my Bachelor’s in Human Services.
With over 10 years of experience supporting both adults and children, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including intensive in-home services, community mental health, and private practice. These experiences have shaped my ability to meet people where they are and provide care that feels supportive, compassionate, and tailored to each individual.
I truly value creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. No matter your background or what you’re going through, you don’t have to face it alone—I’m here to walk alongside you.
Hi, I’m Bryan McHenry. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. First and foremost, I applaud your courage in seeking mental health counseling. In this season of your life, you might’ve discovered a lot of uncomfortable feelings and thoughts. That is very difficult to manage alone. Coming into the counseling process is a new beginning of wholeness and healing. Thank you for allowing me the honor to be apart of that journey.
Though I’ve worked with a variety of populations and settings, my primary work includes men’s health/issues, depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, and life coaching. I would be honored to work with you during this time of your life. Let’s get to work.
I’m Ashley Estimable, LCSW. I provide warm, evidence-based telehealth therapy for clients in Florida and Virginia who are navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, relationship stress, life transitions, and the pressure of seeming “high-functioning” while feeling overwhelmed underneath. My style is collaborative, practical, and grounded. I value culturally responsive care and believe therapy should honor the context you carry, including identity, family expectations, culture, work, relationships, and lived experience.
If your brain never fully shuts off, you overthink everything, or you feel mentally exhausted even when life looks “fine” from the outside, you’re in the right place. I work best with thoughtful, reflective adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, burnout, relationship patterns, life transitions, and the pressure of trying to hold everything together. Many of my clients are young adults, college students, and working professionals who are thoughtful, high-functioning, and often spend more time in their own heads than they’d like.
My approach is conversational, direct, and insight-oriented. I don’t believe therapy is about me having all the answers. You are the expert on your own life. My role is to help you identify patterns, challenge assumptions, explore different perspectives, and uncover solutions that already fit who you are.
Clients often appreciate my open-minded approach, curiosity, and ability to create a space where they can think out loud without judgment. Therapy with me is less about being told what to do and more about developing a deeper understanding of yourself and how you want to move through the world.
Hi, I'm Daija Monroe, Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of Monroe Behavioral Insight Consulting. I'm so glad you're here and I want you to know that finding the courage to seek support is something to be proud of.
I'm a Virginia-based therapist with over seven years of experience working with individuals across a wide range of life experiences and challenges. I have experience in community mental health, forensic mental health, crisis intervention, and school-based settings which means I bring a well-rounded, real-world understanding of how life, systems, and mental health intersect. My work is rooted in creating a space that feels genuinely safe where you don't have to perform, pretend, or have it all figured out before walking through the door.
I'll be honest with you, I'm not the therapist who will sit quietly and just nod. I'm warm, I'm real, and I'm straightforward. I believe you deserve a therapist who will actually engage with you, celebrate your wins, and gently challenge you when you need it. No sugarcoating, but always with compassion.
My approach blends evidence-based techniques with genuine human connection. I specialize in working with women, young adults, adolescents, first responders, healthcare workers, and immigrants navigating life's most difficult moments. Whether you're carrying invisible weight, feeling stuck, or simply ready to finally put yourself first, I want to help you get there.
Outside of my clinical work I am a mother, author, speaker, and advocate for mental health awareness. Life has taught me firsthand that healing is possible even when it feels impossibly far away. That lived experience shapes everything about how I show up for my clients.
You don't have to keep holding it all alone. I'm here.
Welcome! I'm Giovonni- a poet, writer, licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and certified OCD and Anxiety specialist serving residents in DC, MD, and VA. As a multicultural lesbian, I am dedicated to creating safe and affirming spaces for healing within communities of color and LGBTQ+ individuals. If you aren't experiencing anxiety or OCD, I would not be the right clinician for you. Allow me to visually paint a picture for you of what it's like to experience anxiety or OCD using a poem.
Anxiety:
There is a hum
beneath everything I do.
Restless. On edge.
My mind scanning for threats
that probably aren't there
probably.
I snap. I tense.
I lie awake
untangling the same worry
I untangled last night.
I smile fine.
I function...barely.
I am fine.
The hum disagrees.
Six months of this.
Maybe more.
The body keeps the score
even when I pretend
it doesn't.
The Loop (OCD):
Did I lock it?
I locked it.
But did I really?
The thought arrives
like a verdict
intrusive, unwanted,
wearing my voice.
So I check. I count.
I do it again
and again
until again feels safe.
It never feels safe.
Not contamination,
not the door, not the stove
it's the uncertainty
I cannot hold.
The ritual buys me
sixty seconds of quiet
before the loop
loads again.
I am not my thoughts.
But they haven't learned that yet.
Your brain is basically that one friend who means well but gives terrible advice. It jumps to conclusions, expects the worst, overthinks everything, and somehow expects you to believe every word it says. The good news? You don't have to let it call the shots.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia who works with adults (18+) navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, stress, grief, and life transitions. I also specialize in working with active-duty military, veterans, and first responders, and in the unique demands of their careers.
My style is warm, honest, interactive, and a little sarcastic when the moment calls for it. I'll listen without judgment, but I won't just nod along. I'll challenge you, teach you, and give you practical tools you can actually use. I believe therapy should help you understand your mind, build confidence, and leave you with the skills to manage life long after our work together ends.
I love making psychology make sense. My goal is to take complex concepts, break them down into practical, relatable ideas, and help you become the expert on your own mind. If you're ready for real conversations, a few laughs, and meaningful change, I'd love to help.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and everyday life stressors. I take a practical, down-to-earth approach to therapy, creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. My work focuses on helping clients better understand their thoughts and emotions while building effective tools to manage challenges, strengthen boundaries, and feel more confident and in control of their daily lives.
My work is grounded in developmental psychology, neuroscience, and trauma treatment. If years of therapy, medication, books, and coping skills haven't created the change you're looking for, it may be because you've been treating the symptoms instead of the patterns producing them. Many of my clients come to me feeling frustrated, wondering why they understand their struggles yet continue to repeat the same thoughts, emotional reactions, relationship dynamics, or behaviors. My approach focuses on identifying and disrupting the developmental patterns driving those experiences by working with the brain and nervous system where they were formed and continue to be reinforced. Rather than teaching you how to better manage the same struggles, my goal is to help you create meaningful, lasting transformation so you can move forward with greater freedom, clarity, and confidence.
Welcome—I’m truly glad you’re here. I bring a warm, grounded, and collaborative approach to this work, shaped by graduating with honors in my Master’s program and earning my Bachelor’s in Social Work with a Minor in Human Services. With 17 years of experience supporting at‑risk youth and families across Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri—and roughly five years in a direct therapeutic role—I’ve learned that healing is most powerful when mind, body, and spirit are invited into the process.
My background includes specialized training in DBT, ASIST, trauma‑responsive care, and emerging work with elders through grief support and medical assessments. My practice continues to expand as I deepen my understanding of military culture and the unique stressors faced by Service Members, Veterans, and their families. I integrate training in reintegration support, deployment‑related stress, and identity transitions to help military‑connected clients navigate life with clarity and strength. I am honored to now offer supportive therapeutic services to clients in the state of Virginia.
As a Licensed Massage Therapist, Somatic Therapy remains one of my first passions and is available for in‑person sessions. This body‑based approach helps clients release stored tension, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect with the wisdom of their physical and emotional selves. When the body softens, the mind opens—and healing becomes more accessible, more intuitive, and more aligned.
My work is guided by a simple belief:
~When people feel safe, seen, and supported, they naturally move toward wholeness.~
It’s an honor to walk alongside you as you reconnect with yourself and step into a life that feels grounded, authentic, and spiritually aligned.

I meet clients exactly where they are, not where anyone thinks they “should” be. Every child and every family is different, so I tailor my approach to fit their strengths, challenges, and goals. I know at times life can seem confusing or even impossible. I believe with every fiber of my being we all have the answers we need. Somehow we get separated from our core strength. You are the expert on you, you alone hold your truth. I am interested in your story and use the description, "enlightened witness" as a way to describe some of what I do in my work as a therapist and healer. I see myself as a fellow traveler, a helper, and a companion who "holds the lantern" to help guide people to move out of dark places and into their truth. Much of the time we are living a narrative others have crafted, often driven by fear or pain rather than strength. These narratives can feel like prisons but we can heal and take back our story, and choose to see from our core. Embrace compassion, reflection and most of all self-love.
Some of my greatest joy comes from helping people move past pain into healthy and loving relationships with themselves and others. I believe suffering is inevitable but not without wisdom and growth. Sometimes seeing our strengths is difficult. Self-love must include your whole being and all parts ~ messy, vulnerable, raw and authentic. You are the velveteen rabbit and you are already worthy of your own love. You are already real.
I am licensed in Virginia, West Virginia and Texas. I see clients in these states only at this point.
FYI Please schedule on the hour only. Otherwise, I will have to call you back and reschedule. I usually offer mostly daytime hours so having the time to meet during the day is important.
Hi, I'm Kristen. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply tired of carrying everything on your own, you're not alone. I provide a warm, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself.
With more than 10 years of experience, I work with children, teens, adults, and families navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, parenting stress, and major life transitions. My approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to your unique needs. Together, we'll build on your strengths, develop coping skills, and create meaningful changes that support the life you want to live.
We all have the opportunity in our life to start fresh. During the journey, we change, grow, heal, destroy, and can improve our lives. You will experience difficulties, and you are not alone. We are not alone in this world, but we are compelled to isolate ourselves from the fear of experiencing too much pain. I have many years of clinical training with life experiences, including successes and failures, but we are not provided a how to manual at birth. I have a sense of humor, but good sound clinical judgment, so take a leap of faith.

Hi, my name is Stephen
As a Christian do you ever feel like you are letting God down, or like you are not being faithful enough because you have real-life problems? Problems In your relationship, emotionally, behaviorally, or even with substance abuse.
Is it hard to be kind to yourself?
I help individuals manage their anxiety, depression, or burnout by addressing the needs of your body, mind, and spirit using the bible. I integrate current counseling theories with sound biblical principles to help develop a stronger relationship with God, and a stronger you.
Whether you are dealing with being overwhelmed, relationship issues, or cycles of anxiety and depression, I am here to help.
Seeking therapy can seem scary and maybe even against some of the teachings you've learned in church, but you are making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together I will meet with you, and your spouse if you want, with compassion and evidence-based techniques while using biblical principles so you can overcome the hang-ups and habits holding you back. The research says that 1 in 4 people in the United States, at any given time, have mental health issues. This does not exclude the church. The average church in Virginia has 250 members attending on any given Sunday. That means that at least fifty people in your church service last Sunday are struggling with some type of mental illness or emotional problem. I work with churches to help them with ministering to the hurting, please let me help you.
For more than 20 years, I've had the privilege of supporting children, teens, adults, and families through some of life's most difficult moments. My experience spans medical, mental health, and hospice settings, and each role has strengthened my belief that healing begins with feeling seen, heard, and supported.
I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), using a strengths-based, person-centered approach that recognizes each person's unique story, abilities, and potential. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where clients and families can build resilience, develop practical skills, and move forward with confidence.
My approach is faith-informed, evidence-based, and rooted in compassion. Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, behavioral challenges, or life's unexpected transitions, I'm committed to walking alongside you every step of the way.

The goal of this work isn't about becoming a perfect version of yourself. It's about learning to navigate life's challenges with greater flexibility, confidence, and self-understanding.

During that time period I worked with patients in outpatient and inpatient settings including the University psychology clinic, Wayne State Family Medicine Center, Providence Alaska Family Medicine Center, and Providence Alaska inpatient services.I’m a clinical psychologist (PhD) specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, and the mind–body impact of stress. My approach is warm, relational, and psychodynamic — I help you understand not just what you’re feeling, but why it keeps happening.
Many of my clients come to me after trying short-term or skills-only therapy and not feeling truly understood. Together, we look at the deeper patterns shaped by past experiences, trauma, and relationships. This includes medical trauma, chronic illness, health anxiety, and eating issues rooted in shame or self-criticism.
I offer teletherapy to adults who want thoughtful, insight-oriented work that leads to lasting change.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a honorable combat military veteran. I’m nearing completion of my Doctor of Education in Community Care and Counseling with a specialization in Traumatology and have earned the following degrees: Master’s degree in Professional Counseling, Master’s degree in Human Services Counseling, and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations. I have a multitude of experience in community and clinic settings having engaged in therapeutic day treatment, intensive in-home, parenting aid, mentoring, crisis intervention, crisis stabilization, and outpatient therapy services along with substance abuse counseling. My counseling philosophy focuses attention on your present and future. I focus on goal-oriented questioning to assist you in moving into a future-oriented direction to help reduce negative thinking and behaviors, increase motivation and resiliency, and become a healthier and happier human being. I take a holistic approach to counseling to help you with a healthy integration of the mind, body, and spirit. I have a unique multicultural approach to therapy due to my extensive travels around the world living in different cultures and understanding dynamic human experiences from various perspectives. I'm especially understanding and culturally sensitive to East Asian cultures. I'm very appreciative of East Asian cultures, beliefs and philosophies having lived in several East Asian countries. Many of my client’s successful therapy outcomes have been attributed to my dynamic and unique life experiences. I provide genuine warmth, honesty, empathy, support, and care to my clients. I’m known as a “skill-builder” and have a strong passion to motivate you and build resilience in your life. I look forward to working with you.

My name is Ebony Brown. I am an LCSW with a background in trauma-focused and mindfulness-based approaches. I work with individuals who are looking to overcome past challenges, build emotional resilience, and develop practical skills to navigate everyday life. I tailor each session to your unique strengths and goals, and I’m excited to support you on your journey. I enjoy what I do!
For over 13 years, I have dedicated my practice to supporting women as they navigate the many demands of modern life. I understand firsthand what it means to move between worlds. Growing up in Brooklyn as the daughter of immigrant parents, and now living in South Florida, I have been shaped by diverse cultures, communities, and perspectives. My love of travel has deepened that curiosity about the human experience. In the therapy room, this translates into a genuine ability to meet you where you are regardless of your background, your story, or how far from yourself you may feel right now.
I have over 25 years of experience working with teens, adults, families, and couples in multiple community-based settings and agencies. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSATP), and EMDR-trained clinician with over a decade of experience in behavioral health. With a foundation in psychology and professional counseling, I have dedicated my career to empowering individuals and communities through mental health, substance use treatment, and clinical leadership. I’ve served within various roles that have allowed me to assist clients in exploring the intersection of identity, healing, and leadership.
We are all unique, and so is what we need. My therapeutic approach is holistic mixed with a cognitive-humanistic style designed with the client as the center. I do not tell you what is best for you or what direction you should be going in, instead I help you determine what you want, where you want to be, and how you will get there. Then I support you on that journey by providing the encouragement, support, information, and realness needed to stay focused and succeed.
Do you ever feel stressed out or on edge? Do your thoughts seem to spin out of control or lead to fear of future situations? Does that worry prevent you from being present in the moment or keep you from getting restful sleep at night? If you are ready to regain control of your thoughts and live a more present and fulfilled life then you have come to the right place.
Hi! I’m Sarah Theimer, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional level 2 (CCTP-II) in Virginia. I am also a Christian and the proud wife of a first responder. I provide anxiety and trauma treatment, helping adults breakthrough the cycle of worry and trauma to live a more present and fulfilled life. To help you reach your goals, I use a two-fold approach by teaching you tools to help cope with everyday stressors and manage the intensity of emotions while exploring past experiences which have/are impacting the way you currently feel/behave. As a therapist, I strongly believe in exploring past hurts and experiences to help you better understand what led you to this point and assist in treating the root causes of the anxiety and trauma. I aim to keep sessions goal oriented and structured to assist individuals in meeting their goals.
I earned my master’s degree from Lynchburg College in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have eight years of experience in the mental health field and have worked in settings to include substance use clinics, inpatient mental health settings, and corrections facilities throughout my time in the mental health field. I have training in and utilize evidence-based approaches to include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR).
If you can read this, you made the first step. Congratulations. Seeking therapy is hard. Most people delay and tell themselves that whatever they are experiencing must be the way life is. Chances are if you have reached the point to begin exploring therapy, counseling can help make your life better. While therapy is often hard, it can be an enjoyable and uplifting experience as well. I believe that you cannot laugh without a combination of insight and relief. You can expect some humor in most sessions.
I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 20 years. In that time I have worked with men, women, teens, and families on a wide variety of issues. Sometimes that work simply involved helping them through a particular incident or life change that overwhelmed them. Other times our work together centered around longstanding issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction.
In addition to traditional cognitive behavioral therapy, I also offer a fourth-wave therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). I have found this technique to be highly effective in helping people with trauma and or anxiety. Our minds and bodies are connected. Anyone who has experienced a tight neck and shoulders or an upset stomach when they were stressed knows this. EFT uses acupressure (done by the client) and cognitive interventions to provide fast and effective relief.
With over 20 years of clinical experience, I am ready to help you through the challenges you are facing. In addition to counseling, I also provide vocational testing, coaching, and consulting.
I provide both Christian and secular counseling depending on the needs of my clients.
For clients with high level confidentiality concerns due to corporate or clearance issues, there are ways we can do EFT without you ever speaking out loud about events.

My name is Khiana Gray Wyatt-Locus, and I am the owner of Teatime With Khi, PLLC. I am inspired by the African American slang “spilling the tea,” which symbolizes the value of sharing one’s truth in a nurturing setting. I believe that when individuals feel free to express their authentic selves, they pave the way for life-changing opportunities.
At Teatime With Khi, PLLC, therapy is not about staying stuck in the same cycle for years. It is about creating real change, building confidence, and helping you get where you need to be.
The tea is this: Khi is going to help get you right.
I specialize in short-term, goal-focused therapy designed for clients who are ready to do the work and see results. Most clients work with me for about 6–10 sessions, where we focus on practical strategies, mindset shifts, emotional healing, and accountability that supports lasting growth.
My approach is strengths-based and solution-focused, meaning we spend less time dwelling on what is wrong and more time identifying what is already working, what needs to shift, and how to move you forward. I believe you already have strengths, resilience, and answers within you, my role is to help you uncover them, strengthen them, and use them effectively.
Hi there! Let's sit and chat...
Are you looking for a safe space to explore and organize your thoughts and feelings?
Many people see therapy as a one-sided conversation, with little opportunity for interaction or getting to experience one another as real people. I can assure you our sessions will be as real as it gets!
I want to help you achieve whatever solutions and life changes you are looking for. We'll work on building trust and a sense of safety, using open communication and humor, to identify how we can improve on your already existing coping skills, supports, and knowledge. Although this process may be challenging, we will work to enjoy the process as much as possible, so you can experience yourself, your relationships, and your life in new ways. Simply put, I don't think therapy has to be a painful thing for you. Starting this step can be hard and I would love the opportunity to work with you on this journey.
For Private Pay Clients:
Individual Sessions: $190/hour
Couple/Family Sessions: $230/hour
**All couples and families are seen via private pay. This allows us to focus on the relationships in the room, rather than the diagnosis of an individual.
**For those out of network, should you meet criteria for a diagnosis accepted by insurance companies, I can provide monthly superbills that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Please note that the payments received by the insurance provider as reimbursement may not cover the full service fee and I cannot guarantee reimbursement.
Welcome to outpatient therapy. My name is Dr. Krystal Symeonides, Ph.D. and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner working in Virginia. Hello! My name is Meredith. I am an LPC, and have been in private practice since 2021. I am deeply passionate about what I do and I'm so glad to be getting started on Grow. As a therapist, I intentionally try to bring my most genuine and authentic self to my clients. I know how crucial this is as the basis of a productive working relationship. My sessions are primarily client-led, meaning I will prioritize what feels most prescient to you on a given day, and meet you where you are. At the same time, I will help ensure that we are consistently working toward your specific goals. I feel that the best therapeutic outcomes come from the most secure and trusting counseling relationships, and that is what I try to provide. It is probably also important for any potential client to know that my office will always be a safe space for all, regardless of belonging to any underserved, disenfranchised community.
When I am not at work, I love cooking, all things macabre and scary- books, movies, podcasts, and I love reading and hanging out with my family. I am passionate about all kinds of art and the written word. I recently took up archery, and it is a great outlet. Otherwise, I am an indoor type of gal, especially in the summer. I am quick to laugh, and will often crack a joke at my own expense.
I am an EMDR Trained LPC in Virginia with 7 years of experience as a psychotherapist. I am dedicated to collaborating with you on your transformative journey, fostering lasting change. Creating a safe space and empowering relationship is my passion. Authenticity and genuineness are foundational within our therapeutic space in addition to person centered therapeutic treatment. I am committed to walking with you through your personal growth and empowering you toward positive change.
I understand that life can be overwhelming and we all need someone to listen at times. It can be helpful to evaluate our lives, problems or certain situations in a safe and confidential setting. Current stressors, such as problems with work, family, romantic relationships or finances can make it difficult to function adequately. I have been working as a counseling psychologist for over 10 years with most of my experience with adult individuals. I enjoy conducting therapy with people from different backgrounds and have worked successfully with individuals who have experienced various types of trauma, such as childhood abuse, sexual or physical assaults, combat or domestic violence. I am also experienced in treating anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, anger management problems, or problem solving deficits. Making health behavior changes, such as behavior activation or weight management, can be achieved via therapy and I have successfully worked with individuals who wanted to improve their health.
I am originally from Germany and I speak English and German. I also lived in Switzerland and England for a while. I studied Psychology in the United States and graduated with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology.

A significant part of my expertise is dedicated to understanding and supporting individuals with ADHD. It's more than just focus; it's a unique way the brain processes information, impacting organization, emotions, and time perception. If you've felt misunderstood, struggled with procrastination, or been overwhelmed, I offer clarity and practical strategies. Many clients discover that by understanding their ADHD brain, they can harness its strengths and build systems that truly work, transforming struggles into paths to success and self-acceptance. We'll empower you to make choices aligning with your values, fostering more peaceful and fulfilling connections in your life.

I know how easy it is to become the person everyone depends on while quietly carrying stress, pressure, anxiety, or emotional pain underneath the surface. Many of the clients I work with are high functioning professionals, caregivers, parents, and leaders who are used to pushing through life while putting their own emotional needs on the back burner. Over time, that emotional weight can start showing up in relationships, work, sleep, mood, self esteem, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself.
My goal as a therapist is to create a space where you no longer feel like you have to hold everything together alone.
I specialize in EMDR therapy and work with adults and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship stress, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is warm, grounded, and direct. I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation with someone who is present, engaged, and genuinely invested in helping you heal and grow.
Together, we will explore not only what is happening in the present, but also how past experiences may still be shaping the way you think, feel, react, and connect with others today. EMDR can help reduce the emotional intensity connected to painful experiences so you can move through life with greater clarity, confidence, and peace.
With over 16 years of experience in mental health and substance use recovery, I am passionate about helping people move out of survival mode and feel more emotionally connected, balanced, and like themselves again.
I provide virtual therapy to clients in Georgia, Florida, and Virginia.
I view us as the ultimate team! You are the expert of your own life story. I am here to help you rewrite the parts that don't quite fit with the version of yourself you want to be. Using empathy and humor, we will work together to redefine the narrative you have of yourself into one you are proud to take ownership of.
I am a licensed professional counselor and have been licensed for almost 2 years of experience and 25 years in the areas of coaching, training, leadership, and mentoring industries. I love to meet the client where they are and allow them to help me follow them and where they desire to go. I counsel and offer the freedom for clients to grow in their own ways and become themselves in the process on a deeper scale.

Welcome! I’m Dr. Judge, a psychotherapist specializing in women’s mental health. If you’ve been carrying the emotional weight of motherhood, relationships, or simply trying to hold everything together, I want you to know you are not alone. I understand the words "I'm tired of being strong!" I offer a safe, compassionate, faith-centered space where you can finally exhale, feel understood, and begin healing.
Alongside my clinical training, I bring personal understanding shaped by marriage, divorce, motherhood, and the heartbreak of miscarriage. I know life can leave you feeling exhausted, disconnected, and overwhelmed by pain no one else fully sees. I believe God meets us tenderly in those hardest moments and restores our strength. My goal is to help you feel grounded, supported, and renewed in mind, body, and spirit.
I specialize in working with women who often appear capable, organized, and “on top of things” externally, while internally feeling anxious, emotionally drained, and overwhelmed. Many of the women I work with are balancing the invisible mental load of motherhood, work, and relationships while quietly struggling with burnout, identity loss, loneliness.
In our work together, I help you slow down and understand what is happening beneath the surface. Many women arrive feeling constantly “on” mental overload, emotionally depleted, or unable to rest.
A central focus of my work is helping you reconnect with yourself. Therapy becomes a space where you no longer have to ignore your own needs or carry everything by yourself. Together, we explore who you are now, what you need, and how to create a life that feels more peaceful, balanced, and emotionally fulfilling. Therapy with me is a supportive space where you are deeply seen, heard, and cared for. You do not have to keep struggling alone. I’m here to walk alongside you.
I’m a therapist who works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, relationship patterns, and life transitions. Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware, and high-functioning, yet find themselves stuck in cycles of overthinking, emotional overwhelm, or patterns in relationships that don’t feel fulfilling. You may understand why you do what you do, but still feel unsure how to change it.
In our work together, I focus on helping you connect the dots between your past experiences, current patterns, and the goals you have for your life. Through a collaborative and supportive process, we build both insight and practical tools so you can feel more grounded, confident, and in control. Over time, this work often leads to healthier relationships, improved emotional balance, and a stronger sense of self.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to creating a safe, affirming space where individuals and couples can explore their identities, experiences, and challenges without fear of judgment. My primary specialty is providing inclusive counseling for the LGBTQ+ community. I offer sexuality and gender-affirming care, sex therapy, and polyamory/kink-informed counseling. I also specialize in supporting clients of all ages who are navigating the impacts of complex trauma and PTSD, offering compassionate care tailored to each person’s unique healing process.
In addition, I bring expertise in working with children, adolescents, and adults with brain-based differences such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS), and other conditions of neurodiversity. My approach integrates education, skill-building, and empowerment—helping individuals, couples, and families thrive in daily life while supporting parents and caregivers in understanding and meeting the needs of their loved ones.
Together, we can create a space for reflection, self-discovery, and change, with an emphasis on building resilience and restoring connection to self and others.
I am currently accepting new clients for individual sessions via teletherapy.
I have been practicing as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida for the past 23 years and am also a Licensed Therapist in Virginia, largely with a focus in the areas of depression, anxiety, thought disturbance, addiction, emotion regulation, relationship distress, and self-esteem. I feel many of the responses we struggle with are connected to a traumatic event (or perceived trauma) from the past. Currently, my primary focus has been in the individual realm, with a focus on relationship growth.
I will encourage you to prioritize the areas you wish to address in therapy and tailor my approach on an individual basis. I believe in client autonomy so the areas that are addressed are the areas you want to address.
I draw on several treatment modalities (including, but not limited to, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy) to allow you to further develop your strengths and help you meet all of your treatment plan goals at a speed that works best for you. I also have completed training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy as well as the Developmental Model for Couples and integrate both of these approaches into my relational therapy practice.
Overall, I help you to see that managing the stressor is more important than just managing the stress as it will allow you to cope with anything that comes your way.

I live in the Hampton Roads section of Virginia with my son and our dogs. I enjoy spending time at the beach or in the water somewhere, hiking, reading, and traveling.
I have been a licensed clinical social worker for over 20 years and have worked in the field of mental health both, in-patient and out-patient, for over 25 years. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)and Rational Emotive (RET) therapies to guide patients toward a greater understanding of themselves with the goal of emotional equilibrium or “balance.” The large military presence in Hampton Roads has allowed me to work with active-duty personnel and their families.
I have successfully treated patients with depression, anxiety, Bipolar disorder, substance use disorders, and trauma histories.

Developing an identity and self that believes in change towards wellness is where we begin. I challenge clients, I ask questions, I direct and I redirect.
I hold a few spaces on my calendar for women who want to understand the impact of chaotic childhoods and childhood trauma where the threat of violence was too often present.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of OSUN Family Healing Services, an African-centered mental health initiative dedicated to healing Black women and girls. My work is rooted in cultural identity, emotional healing, and community restoration. I support individuals in reconnecting with themselves beyond survival, addressing the impact of generational trauma, systemic oppression, and disconnection from identity. I am building a space that moves beyond traditional therapy into collective healing, self-awareness, and liberation. My purpose is to help rebuild individuals, families, and communities through culturally grounded, intentional care.
I am a bilingual therapist with over 10 years of experience. I bring a culturally grounded, compassionate lens to my work with individuals from all walks of life. I have extensive experience across a wide range of evidence-based and insight-oriented modalities, and I tailor therapy to meet you exactly where you are. My goal is to ensure you feel genuinely seen and heard, and create a space that is safe.
I would describe myself as an eclectic therapist as I draw from multiple theoretical orientations and techniques. I use psychodynamic principles to help uncover early relational patterns, unconscious beliefs, and internal dynamics that may be influencing your present experience. For many years, I have specialized in Cognitive Processing Therapy —particularly with Veterans working through trauma-related symptoms. My approach is always trauma-informed, collaborative, and culturally sensitive, focusing on helping clients process and shift painful beliefs rooted in traumatic experiences.
I also like to integrate mindfulness-based strategies to guide individuals in exploring and processing challenging emotions, empowering them to develop healthier coping mechanisms.
No matter your background or what brings you to therapy, you deserve support that feels affirming and effective. My role is to walk beside you as you explore healing, growth, and meaningful change.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Virginia, dedicated to helping individuals move from feeling overwhelmed or stuck toward a more grounded and intentional life. I work with adolescents and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, and identity-related concerns. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.
In therapy, I draw from psychodynamic principles to help clients better understand how past experiences and relational patterns may be influencing current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. At the same time, I incorporate reality therapy to keep the work practical and present-focused—helping clients clarify what they want, what they are doing, and whether their current choices are moving them closer to or further from their goals. This balance allows us to explore deeper emotional roots while also building concrete strategies for change.
I believe therapy works best when it feels like a safe, honest, and nonjudgmental space. I aim to meet clients where they are without pressure, while also gently challenging them to grow. My style is warm, direct, and grounded in respect for each person’s lived experience.
I am especially interested in working with clients who are ready to take an active role in their healing process, even if they are unsure where to start. Together, we focus on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and creating meaningful, sustainable change.
My practice is designed to be accessible and supportive, whether you are seeking short-term guidance through a specific challenge or longer-term work focused on deeper emotional growth and self-understanding.
Welcome—I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Nancy Paz Welsh, a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual therapy to adults throughout Maryland, Virginia, and Illinois.
My approach is shaped by both my personal and professional experiences. As the daughter of Salvadoran immigrants, a wife in a biracial marriage, and a mother of two, I understand that identity, culture, relationships, and family expectations can deeply influence how we experience and navigate life. Throughout my career, I’ve also had the privilege of supporting people from diverse backgrounds, communities, and stages of life. I strive to create an inclusive space where every part of your story is welcomed, respected, and understood.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. You may feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from yourself, or caught in patterns that no longer serve you. Therapy can offer a place to slow down, better understand yourself, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
My therapeutic style is warm, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and collaborative. Our conversations may feel natural and approachable, but they will also have purpose and direction. I offer compassion alongside gentle accountability, helping you recognize unhelpful patterns, strengthen coping skills, and make choices that align with your values. We’ll work at a pace that feels manageable while remaining focused on meaningful and lasting growth.
Starting therapy may feel daunting, but you don’t have to have everything figured out before taking the first step. Come as you are, and together we’ll work toward greater understanding, healing, and meaningful change. It would be an honor to support you along the way!
