Dr. Michael Till
Having someone willing to listen, guide, challenge irrational thinking, and show interest and empathy to your circumstances is what is needed. I have over 32 years of experiences working with adolescents, adults and seniors of all sexual orientations dealing with a variety of issues from self-esteem, trauma, unresolved issues, depression to life struggles.
First session
Your first session is a chance to feel heard, understood, and supported. In many cases, despite any previous experiences with therapy, you will hae an opportunity to see what therapy should/could look like, if you are motivated and invested in it. Together, we’ll explore what brings you to therapy, identify the challenges you’d like to address, and begin creating a personalized path forward. You’ll leave with greater clarity about your goals, an understanding of how therapy can help, and—when appropriate—practical tools you can begin using right away.
Strengths
Having someone willing to listen, guide, challenge irrational thinking, and show interest and empathy to your circumstances is what is needed. I have over 32 years of experiences working with adolescents, adults and seniors of all sexual orientations dealing with a variety of issues from self-esteem, trauma, unresolved issues, depression to life struggles. It's embarrassing to talk about. No one will understand/can relate. Why is/did this happen to me? When life becomes overwhelming and the challenges/obstacles that are faced, seem impossible to overcome and improbable for anyone to understand, you need assurance that someone is willing and available to walk with you on what could be a life-changing journey.
Ideal clients
My ideal patient is an individual adult/teenager who is motivated to understand themselves more deeply and make meaningful changes in their life. They are thoughtful, open to therapy, and willing to participate actively in the process. They may be experiencing anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, low self-esteem, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. They value a warm, collaborative therapeutic relationship and appreciate practical tools alongside deeper emotional exploration. They may not know how to accomplish these things, but have a willingness to venture into unchartered waters to become the best versions of themselves.
