I’m a licensed clinical social worker who believes therapy works best when it feels safe, honest, and collaborative. I bring experience from community mental health, forensic settings, and private practice, and I show up as a real person—not a blank slate. I work to create a space where clients feel understood, challenged when needed, and supported as they work toward meaningful, lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is focused on helping you feel comfortable while also getting clear on what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your goals, current concerns, and any background that feels important to share. I take a warm, straightforward approach—listening closely, asking thoughtful questions, and offering practical guidance without pressure or judgment.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths include building strong, trusting relationships while keeping therapy grounded and purposeful. I balance warmth with honesty and help clients move from insight to action in realistic ways. Clients often appreciate my ability to offer clarity, structure, and practical tools while still creating a supportive and non-judgmental space.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and life transitions. Many of my clients are capable, thoughtful people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally disconnected. I’m a good fit for those who appreciate a therapist who is compassionate and down-to-earth, but also clear, direct, and focused on real-life application.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT helps clients learn how to relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions rather than trying to eliminate them. In my practice, I use ACT to support clients in building psychological flexibility—learning how to sit with discomfort while still taking action aligned with their values. Sessions are practical, reflective, and focused on helping clients live more fully, even when life feels hard.

Christian Counseling

When clients desire faith-integrated therapy, I incorporate Christian counseling in a way that is respectful, grounded, and client-led. This may include exploring how faith, spirituality, and values influence coping, decision-making, and healing. My approach honors both clinical best practices and the client’s spiritual beliefs without judgment or pressure.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns and work on developing more balanced, realistic ways of responding to life stressors. This approach is structured and skills-based, giving clients tools they can use both inside and outside of sessions.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients move forward without spending endless time revisiting the past. We focus on what’s already working, identify small but meaningful changes, and build practical strategies to address current challenges. This approach is especially helpful when clients want clarity, momentum, and real-life solutions in a relatively short amount of time.

Couples Counseling

In couples counseling, I help partners improve communication, increase understanding, and address patterns that keep them feeling stuck or disconnected. Sessions focus on strengthening emotional safety, clarifying needs, and developing healthier ways to navigate conflict. My goal is to help couples move from frustration and miscommunication toward greater connection and mutual respect.
