As a therapist with a great passion for helping people, I have extensive experience in assisting clients who are struggling with substance abuse, depression, anxiety, anger, self-esteem, and bipolar disorder. My philosophy is simple - "There's no way out, but through". I offer a helping hand to my clients through life's disappointments, changes, challenges, and even outright catastrophes. My experience as a service member for over a decade brings a unique perspective to my practice. I see the therapeutic journey as similar to using a GPS. You're the driver, but your clinician is the GPS. You can choose where you want to go, but your clinician guides you to ensure you reach your destination. Together, we will explore your needs, and your perspective and learn more about you. Therapy is an investment you make for yourself, and it will benefit not only you but also your loved ones and the broader community by helping you become your best self.

In 2016, I began my journey to become a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in assisting individuals in managing their challenges. My approach integrates both intellectual and emotional aspects to support clients effectively. Using CBT, TF-CBT, and Motivational interviewing techniques, I provide structured, goal-oriented processes while focusing on achieving specific therapeutic goals. Addressing the needs of individuals who have experienced trauma by reducing symptoms of trauma-related disorders, such as PTSD, depression, and anxiety, among children, adolescents, and their families. You’re the caretaker or the high achiever—the one who always finds a way to make things work. On the outside, it may look like you’re doing everything “right,” but inside you feel anxious, disconnected, or simply exhausted. If you’re wondering how much longer you can keep it all together, you’re not alone. Finding a steady, supportive therapist can be the first step toward feeling like yourself again. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with women who are struggling with burnout, perfectionism, anxiety or depression. Many of my clients feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, people pleasing, or putting others first before themselves. Together, we look at what’s working in your life and what may be keeping you feeling overwhelmed or drained. From there, we create realistic goals that help you build confidence, set healthy boundaries, and bring more peace back into your daily routine. Clients can expect through the process to create stronger boundaries, improve mood, and increase clarity with themselves and the way they see the world. I am licensed in both CA & TX, and love to see clients remotely for virtual sessions. In addition to my clinical experience, I also have a background in world religious studies, have a passion for all things creative, and love seeing clients from various cultural backgrounds, college students, recent grads, working moms, and young professionals. Whether you are starting therapy for the first time, returning, or looking for a better fit, all are welcome.

I believe talk therapy is a power tool. It can heal. It can empower. It can bring about the kind of changes you seek. In order for talk therapy to really work, you must feel connected to and trust the therapist you work with so I encourage you to find the right fit. We will start where you are and, together, we will explore new ways of making your life more manageable. To struggle is to be part of the human experience. Struggle can be a motivator for change. Those self-defeating thoughts are not who you are. These life circumstances do not have to define your whole life.

Trauma hurts. It can be sudden, life-altering and overwhelming, or chronic, subtle and nearly unnoticeable, but either way it can change the way we think about others, the world, and unfortunately, ourselves. Dealing with the aftermath—changes in our relationships, lashing out toward self or others, feeling nothing and/or everything all at once—is sometimes as hard as the initial event, especially when society, friends and family and our own minds tell us to “just get over it.” Worse, sometimes we aren’t even sure where the trauma came from in the first place, leaving us confused and even feeling hopeless. If you could just “get over it,” you would, but sometimes the brain simply cannot process traumatic events without help, and this is why trauma therapy exists. :) I'm an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) in Texas. I've been in practice for nearly 15 years and have been doing EMDR therapy for 13 of those. I specialize in helping teens and adults process trauma of all kinds. My goal is to help my clients gain the skills needed to process and adapt to traumatic memories, and then allow them to do so in a safe environment. I teach them how to build boundaries and follow through, and to treat themselves with self-compassion rather than judgment and harsh expectations. Trauma doesn’t have to ruin (or run) your life. If you’re hurting, please know I’d be happy to help in any way I can.

I am an optimist that has worked in the mental health and substance use space since 2007 as both a clinician and music therapist. Most battles are won and lost before they are ever fought because our thoughts drive our feelings and affect our behaviors. The challenge becomes mastering our thought process. Figuring out "who" we are is more useful than "why" we are so important in our journey to overcoming challenges, being resilient and becoming who we want to be. I thoroughly enjoy exploring and cultivating holistic coping strategies and firmly believe everything is better with music and chocolate.

Do you feel like you have a lot on your mind but don’t know where to put it? Maybe you’ve become used to keeping things to yourself, questioning whether your feelings are “important enough” to talk about, or trying to handle everything on your own. You may know something needs to change, but aren’t quite sure where to start. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel intimidating. My goal is to make that step feel a little easier. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can slow down, be heard, and make sense of what you’re experiencing. You don’t have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy—we can work through it together. My approach is primarily rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping you recognize patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and develop healthier ways of responding to difficult situations. I also incorporate mindfulness-based techniques to help you manage stress, stay grounded, and become more aware of what you need in the moment. Therapy is not about having someone tell you what to do. It’s about having a space where you can better understand yourself, work through what has been weighing on you, and develop tools that feel realistic for your life. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in negative thought patterns, struggling with stress, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Together, we can work toward greater clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of control over how you respond to life’s challenges. Reaching out can be the hardest part. You’ve already taken an important step by considering therapy. **I will not be able to evaluate for disability, custody or court-related documents.

Hi, I’m Abel. I specialize in working with adults with ADHD, both men and women, as well as men navigating the pressures of work, relationships, family, and identity. I also work with couples, particularly when ADHD has become part of the conflict or disconnection in their relationship. I know firsthand how ADHD can shape your life. It affects more than focus and productivity. It can also impact emotions, confidence, and relationships. I was diagnosed in my 30s, and it helped me make sense of years of struggles with organization, responsibilities, and executive functioning. What surprised me most was how profoundly ADHD can affect relationships, especially marriage. That’s why I believe ADHD therapy has to go beyond productivity and address emotional regulation, self-worth, follow-through, and connection. As a husband of 13 years, a father, and a family man, I understand the quiet pressures many men carry. Men are often expected to be competent, steady, and dependable without always having a place to talk honestly about what happens when that becomes difficult. That perspective shapes the way I work with men: with honesty, compassion, practical tools, and real conversations without judgment. My own marriage has also taught me how much relationships require vulnerability, accountability, and teamwork, especially when navigating ADHD. That experience helps shape my work with couples as they move beyond blame and toward greater understanding, reliability, and connection. I’ve also wrestled with body image and self-worth after years of being overweight. Making meaningful changes taught me that taking care of yourself isn’t passive. It often means doing difficult things consistently because you’ve decided your well-being matters. Learning to show up for myself changed not only my health, but the way I saw and valued myself. That experience shapes how I help clients build a healthier, more grounded relationship with themselves.
